QUESTION FOR BLOG VISITORS WHO LIVE IN CANADA

Hi Stella,

I'm an ardent reader on your blog  and I pray God reward you abundantly. Amen.

please I'm making this enquiry becos I'm planning to move out of this country by december 2015 if my prayer of getting married is not answered. I'll be 30yrs by march 23rd and I must confess that it not easy.

All my friends are married with kids and my families are pestering me with "when are u getting married"? Even though I don't have any man. I'm a pretty slim girl, blessed with a stature too young for my age cos I don't look it. I've been having genotype issues with my relationships, cos I'm AC  and the serious guys are AS which is against Dr's advice.

I'm been praying, but I'm also making plan B of traveling to Canada if mr right doesn't show up before December. (though it will be so painful, cos I've always look forward to getting married wayback from 2007 during my IT days and I started buying my kitchen utensils since then.

I'll collect my savings in September, and I plan to either buy a car for myself, (if marriage is sure) or travel out with it.

But I want to ask, how is life in Canada? Hope I won't be disappointed moving there, becos I intend to go there and work,  can I get an office job in Canada with a degree in accounting?

LMAO!..you started buying kitchen utensils since 19-kokoro?since how you single handedly put pressure on yourself?Canada is great but you need to plan well.

HELP 

Hello StellaKork,

I am ardent reader of your blog but not been able to get a blog ID so I hardly comment- don't like the anonymous mode.

My 10-yr old niece has learning and speech problems.

Her problem started when she had recurring Measles which nearly paralysed her. She walked at 2yrs 7months old after my mum took her from her mother for better care.

The delay in her walking obviously slowed her development down by. We made her start school immediately but her fingers were not strong enough to hold pencil and she spent two years in KG1. I did my best to assist her with home-work but she is very slow in learning. She started saying monosyllabic sentences at age 4.

My problem is that at Age 10, her words are not clear and she cannot do her school works herself. She manages to read but in an irritable manner due to poor pronunciation of words. She usually needs help with her sums and is frustrating helping her.

I suspected she was suffering from DYSLEXIA after watching a short film/ documentary on AfricaMagic recently. I know she needs help but don't know how. We enrolled her for speech therapy at LUTH sometimes ago but there was no improvement and I feel she needs more.

I just want to get the best out of her. She is repeating Basic3 again. I notice she is inclined to the Art & Fashion but she has to be educated first and know her sums. At her age, she is not serious with anything but plays- Can't tell the time and doesn't know simple monetary sums. Don't know if I am expecting too much from her. She could only tell days/date correctly like six months ago; even that she asked me for January 32nd this year.

I apologise for my long story but I want help for my beautiful niece. Anyone who knows how i can tackle this problem should please contact me

Update on baby bouncer

Greetings stella. Just don't know where to start typing from. After you

help put up my post for a used bouncer, a bv in the person of Mrs

Susan sent a memo, I replied her and we got talking. Due to distance

she could not send me hers. Imagine my surprise when some days later

she watsapped me and asked how much a new one will cost. I told her and the

next thing I hear na 10k alert. Just like that in this hard season.

AMEBO GIST

I enjoy all the amebo on this blog, so I thought to send in this too. ........

So there's this lady in Abuja, she attends one of the big churches in Abuja,she was a worker in the media department.

The babe doesn't have a regular job, she just sells stuff (clothes, shoes etc), she has small tribal mark like that , not bad but noticeable. 

She traveled to Dubai sometime last year and then again she bought a ride!

in my mind I said this girl's hustle is paying off o!

Ok!!! Fast forward; 

Someone (a worker in church) who I know noticed during one of the offerings (pledge redeeming), this babe did abrakadabra, she picked someone's offering envelope from inside the basket. Amazing right? 

I know...and you wonder how she did that; same way you wonder how pick pockets do it!. I guess! I'm not talking about normal offerings of like 1k,5k naira or more (that's small something) this offering was for redeeming of pledges.

 They are usually made in dollars by the invited (international) guest preachers. Usually there would be 10kdollars group, 5k'dollars, 1k dollars, 600dollars. So as these people where redeeming their pledge,(probably in trenches) our madam was taking her own share, imagine if she picked 2k dollars!!ha!!*jackpot!*. 

She's been doing it for a while,was reported to pastor and pastor decided not to conclude and puts her under surveillance in church and BAM!!! He saw it himself...caught in d act!

They confronted her, but I think pastor talked to her and let her off, but out of shame the babe doesn't come to church again. Many workers don't even know this.

I think this happens in churches; please its wrong and there are curses and bad omen that come with such act. Some people have liver sha! I fear!

God help us.
