PROBLEM ONE CONCEIVING LESSONS 101
Please I'm in need of Dr's advise. I'm wondering if they are any ways to prepare ones self for conception. we just started trying for a baby and need some advice on ways to help ourselves and improve chances of getting pregnant. Though i have done the basic tests, hormonal ,hvs and all came out great. 

I'm just a bit worried because of previous ectopic experience and the fear that another could occur. Please Dr's your advise would put me in the right direction (your recommendation of the best conception vitamins/supplements is also highly needed).

INCURABLE DISCHARGE THAT SMELLS LIKE ROTTEN MEAT.


Please post this in the Doctors in house section. I've had a very stubborn case of smelly vaginal discharge for a while now. There's nothing I haven't tried to get rid of it. I've seen several doctors, had several medications still it just won't go away completely. The medications work for a while but the discharge comes out in full force whenever I'm menstruating. My menstrual blood smells like rotten meat. Ive practically gone through all the counsels given to other bvs with this same problem but this thing won't go away. I've changed my undies severally, im not even sexually active so its not like my partner keeps re infecting me. Now I can't even afford any more medication. 


My self esteem is on all time low. The itching is becoming unbearable. This thing is gradually ruining my life. I recently met someone that successfully treated hers and she directed me to the doctor that did hers. The Doctor charged me 10,000 for the first round of treatment,
problem now is I can't even afford that. Please bvs help me, a referral to Doc that can treat me free will be greatly appreciated. 

Please send me a mail if you know an doctor that can treat this young woman free of charge,I beg in God's name....OMG!

      @ poster 1.........go 2 d market, buy parsley, lettuce, leek, celery, garlic, onion and spinach...... always chew(Raw) dis herbal leaves every morning and night and God will show himsef strong in ur case. And Avocado pear and cucumber are essential..... poster 2...prayer is the key....

      Yep jollof is right...tel your husband to take folic acid once in a day for atleast 30 days.lots of fruits and little or no alcohol wil be nice too.Stay out of caffein abeg coca cola in particular...lastly u as a lady should try knowing your ovulation period and your temp...if u no these times,tell your husband to limit the times u have have sex in a month this is to help keep more thicker and quantity of sperm down there .Good luck and tell us wen it is your baby's naming ....

      Poster 1....u and ur hubby should always chew dis RAW parsley, leek, celery, garlic, broccoli, onion and spinach every morning and night b4 meal and STAY away from refined carbohydrate and hydrogenated oil. @ poster 2...... prayer is the. Key.... lemme pray 4 u....o lord watsoever u lord av not planted in dat body of her, let it be uprooted and let her body function in a normal way in jesus name I pray...Amen!!! It is well my dear.

      Just know when you are ovulating, ( that might be long process), pls go and buy digital ovulation kit, it will help you very fast, pls don't buy the paper one,

      @Obed permit me to despair... they should meet if possible every day or alternate days... it's not about the quantity of sperm but the quality.
      In Addition, dear poster know your ovulation days too. Don't worry it shall come to pass!!

      Poster1...the test mentioned above are important but not of dire priority when dealing with a previous ectopic gestation

      Go do a HSG to check if ur tubes were scarred or blocked cos d possibility of that occuring in a previous ectopic pregnancy can't be ruled out

      After a previous ectopic pregancy,it best to wait some months to allow ur tubes to heal b4 trying out to get pregnant a 2nd time cos d reoccurrence rate of another ectopic is about 15% *that won't be ur portion tho*

      Vitamins won't be of any help if ur tubes are scarred

      Go do the test,be calm and pray...prayer sure works wonders

      I remembered I had something similar to urs sometime ago, smelly discharge and all. A friend told me to use flagyl which u did consistently for 2 weeks. The smelly discharge disappeared befire the end of the first week but I still continued till the end of the two weeks.

      I took two tablets in the morning and two at night. Specifically the one by May and baker. Now I have normal discharge with no smell at all with the area of hygiene covered. It worked for me and u d suggest u try it but I would also advise that you run it by your doctor.

    Poster 1- just start with folic acid and b-complex to prepare your body for conception and then leave the rest for God.
    Remove fear from your mind. Fear is a tool of the devil. You are not going to have another ectopic pregnancy. reject it. Speak positively of your pregnancy. Thank God for it even though you are yet to conceive.

      Folic acid is a vitamin drug that helps to form healthy red blood cells and prevent birth defect when conception takes place.

    1. I heard anxiety can cause delay in conception. As mentioned in your write up, pls do away with worries and fears. Follow doctor's advice and pray as well. All will be well by God's grace.

    I pray you find a doctor to cure you soon. Have you tried using oflxacin or doxycycline, it might help.
    But please seek your doctors advice before using, dont self medicate.

    I have an almost similar problem.
    Back in 2010 I went 4 test and was told that it was UTI. In 2011, I went 4 another and was told it was PID. I was given injections and tabs.
    But I still av the discharge but it is not smelling.
    At the end of last year I went to do test in two different hospitals, but they result said am clean.
    But I still have the discharge and sometimes boil that will come and go on the outside of my vagina.
    Please can anyone recommend a good doctor or hospital for me pls?
    I stay in lagos.

      Try using ginger and garlic. Blend the two and refrigerate, before going to bed you take some, you can dilute it with water if you can't drink it straight up. Am sure it will help with the discharge.

      Ok, so 1 tablet a day is healthy. i.e one tablet of bcomplex, 1 tablet of folic acid, 1 tablet of calcium tablet (usually white). Note that calcium is optional.

      Ensure you eat balanced diet, worry less and do away with anxiety.

      Folic acid is ok..when I was trying for our baby,I took one daily..my doc advised me to take it in d night ..that's when d body is relaxed..and drink lots of fluids..stay away from sugary stuffs,cook and the likes..and six weeks later,I took in..just had my baby girl 4 months ago,after almost 3 years..if u want,I can give u my docs contact

      TM dear,
      It's the regular B complex tablet. Small and yellow in color. Same color with folic acid though folic acid is tinier than b-co.
      Am sure you can get it at any pharmacy.

    Lemme see if I can use my mcb cert to prescribe something for you but this still totally depends on ur symptoms, u aren't sexually active so its definitely not an std, could be a chronic case of bacteria vaginosis, if u were having sex, I could have asked if the odour is much more pronounced during sex. Dyu feel pains during urination? Cos that's not a symptom of bv, just odour and itching. If these are ur syptoms, try take metronidazole(flagyl) and ciprotab for a period of 7days, if no difference then u should stop and try other options. This is just a treatment for bacteria vaginosis, if its something else, it will prolly not work. Goodluck to u.

    i know of some1 having similar problem buh her menses wasnt smelling dat bad....dis was wat healed hers with her faith...

    Poster 2.. Go to the nearest pharmacy and get drugs for smelly discharge, take it along side with flagyl... Make sure u change your panties, dispose all the old ones and ensure u don't wash your p with soap, it's not good. U can try mycoten insertion tablets as well ... Note** quit washing ur P with soap..it works

    poster 2:1 think should be look for the money instead of free medication since you have a Dr who did treated it succesfully for someone with same case.

    @Poster 2: please try the garlic treatment. It's 100% safe. It worked wonders for me as I had a similar case to urs. (Bacterial Vaginosis o. Not STD). I swallowed a clove of garlic at night, then inserted a peeled, washed and slightly scored clove (tied with a clean thread) into my VJ just b4 bedtime. It will sting a bit. Then take it out in the morning before ur bath. The thread u tie around the garlic should be long enough to hang out of ur VJ so u can just pull it out to take out the garlic in the morning. It may sound weird like it did to me at first, but trust me, it worked wonders in about 3-4days but I was advised to do it for a week. I was very happy with the results! U can google it for urself. Garlic is actually a natural antibiotic with no side effects as the artificial ones and it won't harm u if u try. If it doesn't work for u please see a doctor. Above all, call on to God! Also, plz time your ovulation and have sex anytime within 3days before and on the day of your ovulation. Also, after sex, don't get up immediately, lay on your back (you can place a pillow under you to lift you up a bit). Remain in that position for about 20mins. Try to do styles that allows for deep penetration. You can google this. Finally, try not to stress your self within the period so you can release an egg for ovulation. In all, try to be happy and talk to God. Congrats already!
