Stanley was a final year student of Lasu who was standing in his lane when the truck hit him.
The driver was trying to run away but Lasu students stopped him and secured the truck.Meanwhile on hearing what happened Stanley's, brother John rushed down to the scene but alas his brother was already dead! -crushed to death by the truck..
The students were going to burn the truck but John put a stop to that. The family contacted DHL and they denied the truck was theirs.
Lawyers letter sent to their head office....
This is really sad.DHL is a worldwide branch and i am shocked and disappointed that they would deny that the truck belonged to them.
May God give the family of the deceased the strength to bear his abrupt exit.
If you think you can help the family get justice, please contact John on 08033065834, 08166043803
Whatever happened to the truck after? Were police involved? RIP to the dead. May the good Lord comfort the family. So sad!
ReplyDeleteSuch sad news - Rip Stanley
DeleteMay his soul RIP. Stella forget that thing DHL is useless. Sent an important original document through them to Lagos a while back. Only for me to receive a call informing me that their driver encountered armed robbers on the way, had an accident and the vehicle caught fire
DeleteImagine the nonsense! So I paid their exorbitant bill for road delivery? I could have used Chisco na.
Till date no compensation or anything. In summary I have switched to FedEx. Till they decide to mess up too
Oh what a sad story.
DeleteErrrmmm. Perhaps this particular truck belongs to a DHL franchiser..? Maybe that is why they deny responsibility. If scrutinized it may be the case. Even at that DHL should have the details of their representatives, how could this truck owner be trading with their name without being registered with them? Doesn't seem right
Sad news.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine, even DHL is boldly written on the trunk, they re still denying. Choi choi. Naija where are thou heading too.
I believe the bus doesn't belong to DHL but being used by their contractors whom are allowed to use the brand name

ReplyDeleteI advice they repaint and we'll the truck, give the money to the family of the dead.
If they burn the truck they will lose both sides.

ReplyDeleteIt's really a sad news
ReplyDeleteI think DHL is too big to deny this kinda story. Maybe it's not theirs or belonging to their contractors or something...
RIP stanley
Oh My! Had to quickly check on my bro when I saw the headline. This is really sad. A finalist? After all the stress now this? I really feel for his family.
ReplyDeleteIt is well.
The Truck MAY not belong to DHL. Used Trucks Imported from Europe and co are not often repainted until a new company acquires it and then re-paints it with their brand logo. It would not be wise to assume that the truck belongs to DHL. The police should be allowed to do a proper investigation.
ReplyDeleteAz
Stella you shouldn't be making assumptions. That you are 'disappointed' in DHL means you have assumed that DHL owns the truck and are denying. What if that truck really doesn't belong to DHL? What if it is an imported truck from Europe totally unconnected with DHL as a company? Please be careful.
ReplyDeleteSo sad! May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
ReplyDeleteHow come DHL is denying that the truck is theirs even with the bold inscription?
Oh my God what an unfortunate! May his soul rest in perfect peace and may God grant d family fortitude to bear d lost.
ReplyDeleteDHL didn't have to deny nauu..
ReplyDeletethe truth sets free.
it cools raving anger,
it helps to remedy situation.
May his soul rest in peace.
An unfortunate incident it was.
Rip to him
ReplyDeleteIt may be that dhl dose not own the truck but a contractor who uses the name
RIP to stanley. There is a lot you don't know about this case. John Ipogah is just spreading falsehood based on the demands he made on Dhl. The case is in court and the courts shall determine the guilty party. Mind you DHL does not give or take bribe.
