Award winning Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, has been nominated for a Grammy award.”
The nomination is based on her collaboration with Beyonce on her feminism inspired 2013 track “Flawless”, which has become an iconic song for women
around the world – and which has also become the most popular song on Beyonce’s recent album everywhere across the globe.
Beyonce incorporated the writer’s essay into her single, after her TEDx talk on why “We Should All Be Feminists”.
The self titled album, "Beyonce", which includes “Flawless”, has been nominated for "Album Of The Year" category at the 2015 Grammy Awards.
Adichie, whose work has been translated into thirty languages, has also appeared in various publications, including The New Yorker, Granta, The O. Henry Prize Stories, the Financial Times, and Zoetrope.
Adichie has also received several awards and distinctions, including the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction in 2007 and a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship in 2008.
