Ben Bruce of Silver Bird Group takes the game to Hollywood with the launch of his new film production studio 'Dream Magic Studios' in Hollywood.
On Tuesday the 17th of February in Los Angeles, Ben Murray Bruce held an industry mixer to launch his new studio, Dream Magic Studios, which is intended to be the roadway to bridging the gap between Hollywood and Nollywood.
In his speech he said, “The day has come for Hollywood and Nollywood to work together in harmony for our mutual benefit, for the youths of Africa, African Americans and for all to boast of a home studio in Hollywood. I am happy to live out this dream and give birth to DREAM MAGIC STUDIOS.”
It was a top notch event that was well attended by both Nollywood and Hollywood players and stakeholders including representatives from E-One Entertainment, The Africa Channel, BarnHoltz Entertainment, Robert Townsend, Ray Charles Jnr , Jeta Amata, Pascal Atuma, Debbie Mangut, Jazsmin Lewis , Seyi Brown, Wamilele and a whole lot more.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to him
Its just a matter of time and there won't be Alaba International/Iweka road movies anymore
Waste of money. Hollywood doesn't care for black movies. There are more movies made in Nigeria in one week than all black movies made in America in 10 years. Forget trying to change the system in America. White America prefers to watch "Gone with the winds" than any black movie. Why not open a studio here in Nigeria?
ReplyDeleteMy thought exactly, white Jewish America owns Hollywood and they don't care for black people. Develop yourselves in your country first and then recognition will come, it's not by jumping on the plane and taking pictures up and down.
DeleteBLOG ANALYSER: AwWw this is nice

ReplyDeleteHmmm bridge between nollywood and holly wood .Abia .i already sight steven speilberg .story story ,you cant be more american than americans
ReplyDeleteKudos to him.
ReplyDeleteGood idea but why first Hollywood & not Nigeria or any other west African countries?
ReplyDeleteCharity they say begins at home, our elites know there's no future in Nigeria reasons most of them either keep their stolen wealth abroad or invest abroad. Just imagine such investment in Lagos, asaba or even Niger delta areas. The studio should have started from Nigeria first not Hollywood after all he made the money in Nigeria. He lost it, with a lot of talents in Nigeria such studio/investment will be breeding ground for more talents and also change the way people see Nigeria and Nigerians not Hollywood. You have to change the way people take your nation first at home before you take your fight overseas.
Congrats anyway.
Congratulation my guy. He is so hard working.
ReplyDeleteis this why that actress Omoni Oboli came to US with Ben Bruce?
ReplyDeleteSure the money AY made from 30days in Atlanta gave birth to this idea.
