Babcock University School Officials Close ALL Banks In The Premises....Why?

All banks have been closed in Babcock University since Monday by the School authority thereby frustrating Students and making them cashless with no way of getting cash and paying for things they need.

Babcock is a private University and the students are not allowed to protest because doing so calls for disciplinary actions.

The nearest place to withdraw money is Sagamu which is about 40mins Drive from the school and this could endanger the lives of Students as many don't know their way about outside the school to Sagamu.

Please if your ward is in the school, try to get cash across to them,I dont know why the banks have been closed but i am sure it was done for a good cause and will re-open soon.

    1. Haba Stella, sagam is jst 10mins away. Besyds I cn relate wit d skool authority. Incessant robbery yapa for dat ogun state esp ijebu ode nd sagam. I remember one time wen there wz a robbery attack every week either in ijebu ode or sagam. Im sure d authority told dem to pay for security or leave d skool premises. Same reason uba left.

    2. I guess the major reason for the shut down is the state of security in Ogun state, shagamu axis to be precise. I'm a babcock graduate and I experienced dis kind of shut down. Its so annoying. I had friends going all the way to Lagos to withdraw. It was dat bad. Robbers disturb dat vicinity alot.
Who says BU students don't knw there way around shagamu? Lol..they must be kidding me. BU peeps knw how to take public transport from Ilishan to Dubai, so make den forget dat side.
I'm proud to be a babcock alumnus.

    3. Shagamu is not far from Babcock University na, why do people like exaggerating matters like this.
As for students not knowing their way about town, that one is a very big lie biko.
Abi nor be the same Babcock I finish from?
Abeg leave matter, BU students that can travel from school to anywhere?

  8. that's what has been happening to us o, the school told the banks to pay 16.6 million naira each for security, the banks dont even make up to that as profit. we are stranded in school with no money ooooo

    1. I totally understand this because of the robbery rate around those zones. Stella if i gist u the robbery experience we had in a month consecutively sometime in 2013, no be here o. Every thursday, there'd be a heavy shoot out either at sagamu, ijebu ode, oou, and its environ. I can relate to this cos oou asked the banks the same thing or close for a while, only a few could afford it and they are the ones functioning. Most times we don't look at the positive sides. Btw, sagamu is less than 20mins from babcock but its still not convenient for them. They'd be fine jor.

  9. Nawa all these advanced boarding schools calling themselves private universities. I rather study abroad than attend or allow any of my children go there. They send dia children to study abroad n yet de advertise dia schools to oda parents to send in dia children. What a scam!

  20. The reason why the banks were shut down was because Babcock asked the banks to pay the 16million naira for security fees for the year 2015. These banks have refused to pay and so the school shut them down. I'm a student of this campus and there's not even 1naira on me due to this incident. I hope this issue is resolved soon
