ASHAFA Meets Traditional Rulers Of Riverine Areas In Epe Local Govt Area

The senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator ‘Gbenga Ashafa recently met with traditional rulers of riverine communities in Epe Local Government Area of Lagos.

The meeting came on the heels of current efforts aimed at running a vibrant campaign for the 2015 elections and also, to ensure that no one in the constituency is left behind in his developmental strides.

Senator Ashafa, a serving senator, and current chairman of the Senate Committee on Lands, Housing and Urban Development, clinched the APC’s ticket for re-election in the party’s primaries last December where he was unanimously returned as the party’s flag bearer as a result of his numerous empowerment initiatives and the facilitation of various constituency projects in across the communities in the 16 LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos East.

Ashafa used the occasion to assure the traditional rulers that he would continue to remain committed to the empowerment agenda, if returned to office for a second term.

He also assured them that the Federal Government’s attention would be drawn to the development of infrastructure in the region.
