Painting Worth $250 Million.

The picture in the attachment is an art work by Paul Cezanne and its valued at $250 million...its called "Card Players" and it is one of the most expensive artwork in the world. 





What is the riddle behind the art that makes it so valuable like the Monalisa by Leonardo Davinci,Judgement day by Michel Angelo and Starry Night by Van Gogh?

    Stella, don't make me laugh.
    It's a Cézanne piece and very valuable if you're talking bout late 19th century art.
    He moved away from the normal impressionist mode of painting and had a unique style.

    Big names like Matisse, even Pablo Picasso paid this man honour. Those post impressionist, cubism ppl we all love and look up to.

    We all know that any French work or any work from early 20th century n earlier will cost a fortune and the value can only increase as years roll.

    Forget Leonardo n Mona Lisa, im sure all dez mysteries they are attributing to him wasn't intended. It's a piece of art and once work gets older, humans who enjoy wondering about historic figures will see something and begin 2 weave plots and conspiracy theory about it.

    2morw, wen Obama dies and our great grandchildren are in d world, any scribbling Obama did or his clothes, will cost a fortune. They will say he must have meant something else. Same thing they do 2 Lincoln n co.

    So, leave matter. It's costly cos it's a Cézanne. So is michelangelo or Rapheal or Da Vinci u mentioned. Na life 4 u. Become great n u'll be worth a lot, post mortem.

      Spot on Bonaparte. I love art and can spend my money collecting them, if only we will understand that it's more than mere decoration but an asset.
      My husband is an artist and that was what attracted m e to him.

      Do u even knw what abstract means? This is a clear picture of two people playing card, it cannot be called abstract.

      When u see a painting of a yellow circle in a green circle within a purple square that indicates a departure from reality, then you can say it's an abstract painting.
