ANOTHER STELLA'S SINGLE MINGLE SUCCESS STORY

I spoke with her this morning.she lives in Lagos and has a beautiful British accent.After we talked,i convinced her to send me a mail but promised not to

reveal her identity till a date is fixed.....

Here goes....

''I am a blog visitor and due to my nature (i can be annoyingly shy sometimes *covers face*), i rarely comment, but when you put up the singles and mingle post, i felt compelled to drop my email address.

I got quite a few jokers and i could easily see through the lies and decided to stop responding to the messages.

I got a mail from a guy and he kind of stood out, he is a very polite guy, has brains, not bad looking, can hold a mature conversation and most of all, knew what he wanted and wasn't forming or fronting.

As expected, we bonded as he is really easy to talk to. We talk on a daily basis, and as such have been able to know a lot about each other; we have grown fond of each other. We are heading towards a sane and healthy relationship but have decided to take it one step at a time. The only problem I guess is the distance but we are working on how to overcome that.

I'll keep you posted on this as things unfold but I just want to thank you and commend you for the good job you are doing. If not for your blog, I would still be the lonely girl I used to be. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 

P.S Even if this doesn't lead anywhere (i don't mean to sound pessimistic) I'm still grateful as I would obviously take a lot of lessons from this... please put up another "singles and mingle" post, I'm sure a lot of shy girls like me will also get lucky. Once again thanks, God bless you

QUESTION TIME

Hi SDK,

I hope you are doing good. I saw that post about the abandoned baby boy and I recalled something that happened to a friend of mine.
She met a guy who proposed to her and was talking marriage with her folks. Unfortunately for her, after seven months of courtship, she discovered that the guy was already married with kids and at the time, she was pregnant and had completed her marriage class. Imagine that!!! (Babes beware. That guy deserves to be killed)

She was distressed and wanted to have an abortion but her conscience didn't let her. After putting to bed, she looked into the baby's eyes and said "I wonder how a girl will carry a pregnancy for 9 months and still have the heart to kill or abandon or give out the child".
I was moved by that comment considering all she had been through.
Out of curiosity, I want to ask my fellow sdkers these questions. For those who have had an abortion in the past:
1. Are/were you haunted by that action?
2. Did it backfire? Any kids?
3. Do you regret it?

BLOG VISITOR JOB DISAPPOINTMENT

Hello Stella sugar. Keep the light burning dear. 

Am so pissed off, hurt and disappointed by the action of a man that gave me job hope only to disappoint me at the last minute. Am married with a daughter and another baby on the way. There was a job recruitment in my home state Anambra  for legal officers last year. My husband and I approached this judge who assured us that am his candidate and that I will get the job. Judges were given slots for their candidates. Did I mention that it was my father in law that used his slot in his own time to make this man a High Court Judge. Lo and behold names of chosen candidates came out yesterday and my name was not there, despite the Judge's assurance. 

His reply when we asked what happened is that I should try again. Hubby is devastated and this has got to be my lowest point in life. We relaxed believing I have got the job. 

All my plans of what I will use the salary from the job to do gone down the drain. I have applied for a new job opening for a learned magistrate in my state (Anambra) today. Please any Blog visitor that can help me in getting the job should please help me. Legal practice in Awka is just not it for married women with little kids. Am over 5 years at the bar.
