PROBLEM ONE
RELEASING EGGS AND THE ACCOMPANYING PAIN.
Good Morning Stella
I am a new blog visitor and have been addicted to your blog for the past one month. I must confess that you are doing a great job here and God will surely bless You.
I am 25yrs old and I usually have pain at my right lower stomach during My ovulation period.
NOTE :I had an appendice operation March last year, so the chances of appendice has been ruled out.The pain has been there even before the appendice operation.
I have Been to the hospital on several occasions and the Doctors said i am having ovulation pains and that my two(2) ovaries release eggs atimes and that why the pain can be severe.
Please does any other person experience this too and what can I do to stop the pain aside pain aside pain relieving drugs?
Sorry about your pain.I am sure in House Docs will tell us a thing or two but please do not self medicate on advice gotten here.Just read and apply wisdom.Blog visitors and I will not be held responsible for the outcome of mis-use.
Being waiting for this section. I did a scan n here is the result.
ReplyDeleteNormal sized uterus with a regular serosal outline and a homogenous myometrial echo texture. No leiomyoma seen. The endometrial plate is of normal thickness. No evidence of cyesis.
There is a tubular cystic mass in the right adnexal region almost running parallel to the posterior uterine wall suggestive of dilated fallopian tube. Both left adnexa and the POD are free
Just need a second opinion cos my gynaecolist gave me some drugs n said it would do it. Need other opinion from the field what's its about. Thanks
God will heal U.
DeleteHey are you the poster??
DeleteI have a question for you!
Did u carry out this scan during ur mid cycle ??
And I quote!! There is a tubular cystic mass , suggestive of dilated Fallopian tube!!!
Was the size of the mass stated ??? That is important
I'm gland your pouch of Douglas ( POD) was free of any fluid.
You need to answer these questions , before I can say what's on my mind.
@sabongida I did it on the 19th day of my cycle and the size of the mass wasn't stated. Thanks so much for your response really appreciate
DeleteDear poster, how painful is it? I'm suspecting it's an ovarian cyst. Those symptoms sounds really familiar. I discovered I had those pains early 2009.. I ignored it till the pain became so severe that I was rushed to the hospital. The first 2 doctors said they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. In short, to cut the short story shorter, it took like 4-5 doctors to discover I had an ovarian cyst that was over 2cm. I had to undergo a surgery. Since the surgery, I've been painless! I advise you try another doctor.
DeletePele oh... GOD will heal you!
ReplyDeletePoster there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. I have the same pain but it's not as painful as menstrual pain. Have gone to see doctors too and they all said that there is nothing wrong with me. The pains will all go with child bearing

ReplyDeleteI understand how you my cousin used to have thesesharp and gripping pain in her lower abdomen, even after the pain has stopped she was still sore. After lots of different test and scanning it was diagnosed as PID (pelvic inflammatory decease) this might not be your case but it's a bit similar to yours.

ReplyDeleteMittelschmerz is what you are experiencing. That is mid cycle pain. If you don't want the regular pain relief , your gynae can give you an Oral contraceptive pill to stop ovulation. This will stop the pain. When you want to conceive you'll stop the pills.
ReplyDeleteI do have cramps too in my lower abdomen when am ovulating but. It could be normal though I may be wrong.
ReplyDeleteSorry bv. You are healed in Jesus name. I still think you should go to another hospital, ask them what can be done because of the pain aside talking pain killers. Above all, exercise your faith by trusting God for His touch.
ReplyDeleteIts normal,i do feel it as well
ReplyDeleteSorry love!
ReplyDeleteUwa umunyanyi!

ReplyDeleteIt is well with you dearie.
ReplyDeleteSowie deatie... May God heal you.
ReplyDeleteHi sweetie!!!! Do not fret. You are experiencing mittelschmerz ( ovulation pain).
ReplyDeleteI have personally experienced this pain for the past two years! During ovulation . I did a Transvaginal scan because I thought it was something else , like an ovarian cyst. But results showed that it was a functional ovarian cyst with about 2mm. And that is normal , because during ovulation , there is collection of fluid and the smaller follicles of the ovary enlarges, but after ovulation it resolves, meaning the follicle assumes it's original size.
There is non- functional ovarian cyst and that is the one that is pathological if the cyst is more than 2cm and painful, then it needs to be operated on.
But I have come to understand my body and I know that mine is just ovulation pain, so during ovulation I take tramadol 50mg b.d for just two days and I'm good.
So just try some analgesic to relief the pain

Please go to a gynaecologist for a scan. Have your ovaries checked. You might need to have surgery done and please don't go to a wack hospital. You might need to consider going to a General hospital if you can't afford a good Private one.
ReplyDeleteMay God help you
ReplyDeleteAmen
Sorry poster
ReplyDeleteSorry dear. U just have 2 keep taking the pain relievers. I don't think its a serious condition.

Poster, it's normal. But it's not as painful as menstruation and the pain is normally a sharp pain
ReplyDeleteSorry dear just follow your Dr's prescription, you ll be fine.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm sorry I think it is very normal to have ovulation pains n thank God u r evn ovulating its what some people are looking for.
ReplyDeleteI think it is normal ohh
ReplyDeleteSorry Dear. You have to bear it while it last, is ovulation pains. Some ladies experience less pain some severe pain.
ReplyDeletePls in the quest for a remedy don't take drugs that will complicate your health condition,
You can talk to God in prayers about it, used to experience such and menstrual pains several years ago and people around labelled me as been sick twice every month I visited several specialist hospitals all na same story, and my hatred for drugs no be here oooh, na with passion, I had to make it a prayer point, I can't tell when it stopped. Even menstrual pain self na history.
Talk to God about it.
Doctor cudnt find anytin wrong wt u dear!so it's normal. Pls lik Stella said dnt do self medication,God forbids,so u don't damaged ur ability to conceive in future. My dear I used to av a frnd wt serious menstrual cramps which results in vomitting, crying, cnt sit down, rolling on d floor&its so serious dt she ends up in d hospital admitted, skipping classes .& yes It's a normal thing for her, na den I cm thank God for myself o. So pls just continue2 endure d pains, mayb wen u start aving kids,it may subside.
ReplyDeletePls I have undergone a minor surgery of breast lump but I do feel pain beneath my breast close to my rips. The doctors then told me is nothing that is bocs am not fat $ prescribe drugs to me but the pain is still der. Pls I don't have any money now to go for check up. If any doctor in d house would not mind to assist me I would really love it cos am going tru pain. Can't sleep facing d floor is always war. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy dear, It is a blessing in disguise. I do have these pains too and gues what? I use it to plan the sex of my babies. Whenever I get the pain and I make love on the same day, I end up with a baby boy and when I make love beofr ethe pain shows up, I end up with a baby girl. It's a tried, tested and true method of sex selection....aka shettles method. Take felvine/feldine for the pain preferably before the pain starts. It means you have to chart your cycle to know when it ois likely to start. God speed my love.
ReplyDeleteDats nice, poster this will help u to know d sex of ur baby,it's just normal ovulation pain
DeleteIt's no big deal my dear. Your test results are clean. I experience it mildly too while ovulating every month. Please relax ok
