Doctors In House Section

This is 2015...welcome!

GOD IS STILL THE CEO OF MIRACLES.

PROBLEM ONE
THE AFTERMATH OF CS
Greetings Stells of life.
I delivered my baby on 11th of December 2014 through c-section and ever since then I have been bleeding and the worse I just discovered is that it seemed my womb is moving or my bladder, because whenever I go to urinate,I feel this excruciating pains(like my womb is been pulled or something)and I find it difficult to stand and whenever I sit down I still feel pains.

I called and visited my Dr and she gave me some drugs, like volterine.
Please,I need others opinion as to know if that's how the c-section feels like or what else to expect or do to reduce this pain.

Thanks once again.

*This moment will pass,it seems you have zero tolerance for pain.
Some people never go back to liking sex after CS,it messes up their hormones. It almost happened to me but as wafferian,I JUMP AM PASS!

LOL

    1. I had a cs again in Nov. My dear think of it as having stomach surgery. It take at least 6 weeks for your body to recover from any surgery. You need to rest. The drs here on state said to rest n move a little. If you are bleeding heavily then it means you are doing too much that's a sign. So put your feet up n let your body heal itself

  31. In a short time, the pains would go away. Like Stella said, it seems you have zero tolerance for pain. When I had my son over a year ago via cs, I had pains too but not the way you described yours. Hang in there, it's just for a short time, you will be fine.

    ReplyDelete
  32. It's normal, and just like Stella said, it'll go with time.

    2. Don't mind me o.

It's ordinary normal delivery but in a birth pool or deep tub.

The warm water is supposed to be therapeutic, lessen the intensity of the contractions and generally make you more comfortable.

      Delete
    3. You know I have watched a lot of documentaries on water births...does it really ease the pain or you still ask for epidural@Goldscent? Then I have also seen one of em pipes they inhale...choi! anything to run away from pain ooooh!

      Delete
    4. Water birth is when the water breaks and the baby comes out nau! Abi?
      Wetin I know?
I once saw my sister in labour, chai! That day I prayed and cried to God to keep my sister safe. I was just telling God, she's my only sister, the only sister I have in this world. Lmao! My brothers use me do joke for days.
      Abeg labour is hard. God!!!

    5. Lol, Jay'em, water breaks and baby comes out...I think it's something about giving birth in a bathtub/swimming pool filled with water (watched a documentary and also watched kourt Kardashian talk about it in once of their episodes).....

      Delete
    6. Goldscent pls how can u have the opportunity of staying abroad and not opt for epidural.. Chai..

      Delete
    7. Lol @ JayEm.

Iphie, all those pain relievers were on standby. Only to be given to me if I ask but I didn't. The water doesnt take away the pain but makes it more bearable. I also opted for water gushing down from a shower head above.

Tochini, I always thought I had a low threshold for pain so I decided to challenge myself with a normal, no pain-relief delivery.

Here, I think women are encouraged to choose whatever birth plan they are comfortable with, with an opportunity to switch when things aren't progressing well.

Nigerian doctors like CS too much.

    8. Ah I nearly killed myself with watching the different types of water births during my first pregnancy. Omo, Americans can make u feel like it's a piece of cake and I was already fantasizing it. But when due date comes you'll almost forget all ur fantasies depending on your situation etc. I didn't plan to birth my child when she came because I was on a normal routine scan visit when the hospital held me back that I cannot go home cos baby was damn too big that they couldn't measure her through the scan, and CS became imperative within 24hours. So u see, how I wan take remember my hours and months of wishing for a luxurious pool delivery? Yimu. Lol

  34. Still advise u to go for scan oh hmmm

But when u go for antenatal you'll hear some women boast how the prefer CS to normal delivery...was actually beginning to think maybe it's not as painful as normal delivery now I know better. Poster sorry oo pray that God heals you!

  42. I gave birth to my baby girl a long time ago. it was a very painful experience then I was just 22,my then husband paid my bride price, I was so naïve that I didn't know what was planned. They whr actually looking for a baby boy. During my pregnancy period my then husband was so anxious to know the sex of the baby with the mum pressurising me to try and get that as soon as possible. When the result was out,it was a baby girl and that was when my maltreatment started, my then hubby and mum sees nothing good in whatever I do,the hatred was much I endured till my due date,I finally gave birth to my baby girl, the marriage was only eleven months then ,the pressure was much mostly frm my mother inlaw and her son but it seems as if the more am treated badly ,the more I shower them with love, but their heart was made up,thy had a purpose and they must actualize it. My mum inlaw made a plan because he was the one who got every,my hubby wasn't financially ok. She called me one morning and told me that they are already tired of the marriage,I left for my town to explain everything to my mum because my dad who gave me out in marriage is already late, that was during the weekend,to cut the story shut, getting back on monday, they have evacuated everything in our flat ,even left with the cloths they bought for me as their wife. I cried my eyes out,I thought of my life,my future ,my been a single mum at that age ,how my world has been shattered but whenever I look at my baby,my mini me,I feel proud been called mum by her. My then mum inlaw got another wife for my hubby,I was served with a divorce paper, though I have the right to say no to the court,I said. Yes cus I wanted to be free and I want them to be free also, free from hatred and live happily. Why am I telling this story ,yes because up till now am scared of sex,I feel pain if I ever try sex,the people who put me in that condition is gone and am living with it. But what did jesus said? We must forgive no matter what. I have forgiven them and living my normal life as a single mum.

  43. I had a cesarean recently too and I dont think u have a problem if your bleeding isnt heavy, the movt you feel is your uterus contracting to the small size it was initially and its normal 4 pain to occur. U didn't have a blade cut but a cut that involved layers of your skin i.e. skin deep cut so its normal for the pains to linger for long, manage! It is well

  56. Wow...Happy new year BVs...Poster sorry,i don't really no much about CS as I birthed my two kids through normal delivery. But I have this good friend that can't stop talking about how she loves CS delivery, according to her it was a painless experience. she even said the scar disappeared almost immediately and she could do everything cos there was no pain whatsoever. She has also undergone normal delivery and when she compares them she says she prefers CS.. Maybe you should try another good gynaecologist so as to be double sure there's no postnatal complication...God is your strength.

  60. Happy New Year to all BVs. I'm an ardent blog reader, though I've never dropped a comment. @poster, you may need to see your doc again. Its been 3 weeks and you re still bleeding pv. Is the bleeding slight, moderate or torrential. If it's slight, it may be your normal lochia. If not, you may need a scan, in case you have retained products of conception. How is the op wound site? Is it healed , open, or discharging abnormal effluent?

  63. This is my candid opinion. I had cs some 4 yrs ago and will tell you sincerely that it wasn't so bad. My baby had to stay on in the Hosp while I went home after 3 days and guess what? I started coming back to the Hosp 2 days after I was discharged ( that is 5 days after my cs ) I walked to the train, got off the train, walked to the bus station, got off the bus and walked into the hospital one uncomfortable step after another. I did this every day for 3 weeks. . I explained all this just to tell you that it shouldn't be as bad as you have just stated. My opinion is that you go and have a second opinion pls, don't take it for granted that cs is painfull and sit at home while something may be wrong ( God forbid )
    All the best.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Sorry dear I had by baby boy via cs 13months ago . For two days I couldn't walk straight my hubby had to carry me up the stairs when we were discharged from the hospital. And gradually it ease off. Let the doctor know how you are faring if no improvement consult another doctor. The pains women go through

    ReplyDelete
  65. So sorry for the pain you feel. Why not go back to your doctor to tell how you feel?
