Both are qualified for the job but there can only be one governor of Lagos state
Who would you vote for any why?
I am very interested in who wins Lagos because I am a Lagosian by birth and love that city so much.
This post is just for fun and does not represent the actual winner....
This post is not sponsored.
Leave the parties they represent and look at their faces if you know nothing about them...
If you walked into a polling booth to cast your vote for Governor of Lagos state 2015,whom would you vote for and why?
WHY?
I will vote for Ambode because I believe Lagos needs someone experienced. Ambode has a wealth of experience and that is what iam going on
ReplyDeleteSo you pple are now clamoring on experience but u pple want to impose an illiterate Buhari on us abi. All of u should stop deceiving una selves oo.
DeleteIn other news, Fani Kayode has been appointed director of media and publicity to the Jonathan campaign o. Eheheh. Things are happening
DeleteAnd what has your literate jona done
DeleteAnonymous 10:17 u must be one of those APC vuvuzelas that seem to not see anything good that GEJ is doing to ask that question. You people's double standards are just stupid.
DeleteI don't see what Agbaje has go offer Lagos, he is a pharmacy who didn't even distinguish himself in his field , it's not about moving from party to party year after year. So na Ambode get my vote
ReplyDeleteIf Jimmy Agbaje can't successfully run JayKay Pharmacy on Adeniyi Jones, can he succeed with an entire state? Hmmmm.
DeleteExactly
DeleteTinubu will do anything just to make sure APC remains on that sit !tho agbaje is better terms of experience
ReplyDeleteI really hope and wish APC loses in Lagos, my area Ikotun was totally abandoned in the past 4 years. The roads are almost immotorable, the traffic in that axis is off the chain. We need change their. I will rather gamble with Agbaje for the chance for change.
DeleteThe CV released by Ambode impressed me and tells me he is capable of taking Lagos even higher. Agbaje has refused to release his CV so nothing for me to judge by. Ambode has my vote
ReplyDeleteJaykay....all the way darling.
ReplyDeleteAm sick and tired of Tinubu and his urchins...not forgetting his area boys....Gosh...lagos needs sanitizing and not some sort of elitist system of govermental dividends
I had a good laugh @ urchins
DeleteJaykay....all the way darling.
ReplyDeleteAm sick and tired of Tinubu and his urchins...not forgetting his area boys....Gosh...lagos needs sanitizing and not some sort of elitist system of govermental dividends
Flacko....I take d liberty to reply u even when I dont have such luxury of glorifying misinformation.
DeletePlz get ur facts very well and until then, I want a reply but certainly not one with adulterated facts.
Stella so you be Lagosian. Ambode is my choice, I have seen his manifesto and one can see the man will be able to fill Fashola's shoes.
ReplyDeletePolitics? Not my thing. Does my vote really count?
DeleteI haven't made up my mind but I'm leaning towards Ambode. Fashola even said he is sure Ambode will do better than him so for me that's a good testimony
ReplyDeleteI visited for Ambode.
ReplyDeleteWhile Jimi also has a good educational and work background, Ambode adds an impeccable public service record to his sterling educational qualifications. The records are there. He is instrumental to lagos state's enviable internally generated revenue. As a result of its IGR, Lagos state is the only state in Nigeria that can exist without federal allocation from Abuja. Imagine what he will do when he's in charge proper.
Jimi might have good plans but he's likely to waste a lot of time learning the ropes because he's always been a private sector person. Lagos state cannot afford that time wasting.
Ambode also has the added advantage of being from the same performing- block as the incumbent, my mentor Fashola. He has always been an insider and will hit the ground running.
With these few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince you, but not to confuse you that Ambode is better than Jimmy boy. Thank you *courtesying and wiping my skirt*
Ambode ni!
DeleteI love intelligent people, Goldscent is one!
DeleteI agree goldscent is very wise, she sees beyond religion and tribe,i like that about her
DeleteRubbish, keep massaging tinubu's ego. Una go pay toll gate fee tire. My vote is for Jimi . I just pray God shows tinubu dat he's bigger than him cos he feels he owns lagos mscheew
Delete@Goldscent on point! Ambode for continuity.
DeleteHmmmm technocrats vs ardent politicians.
DeleteJim Agbaje and Fashola are unrepentant technocrats. While Ambode is a trained, or shall I say one who served under, and also watched his principals play to the gallery of formidable grassroot politics.
An imbibed experience for Ambode, which his superiors are solely reliant on to help him serve as a governor come 2015. Hmmm
Agbaje, if chosen, would be like Fashola wth his administrative skills.
Truth is both their resumes isn't a guarantee that they'll do well on the job. Yes sound intellect is a bonus, but sadly in Nigeria it is not a prerequisite in any political exercise. Otherwise some people who hold key positions today shouldn't be within the corridor of power.
With a city like lagos, educational background may take a back seat when faced with surmounting pressures from all and sundry. Ask Fashola wetin him eye see, he was just methodical enough to overcome those pressures.
Tinubu was a governor and he doesn't have half their qualifications. Yet He ran that office ruggedly like a street man, and I think it worked for him.
Am I advocating we do not seek that ONLY learned people be admitted into public service? NO. I am for resumes like Ambode's and Agbaje's. BUT.....
Anyway I don tire.
Btw, well revised @GS
@Sisi eko Fashola was part of the kitchen cabinet during Tinubu's era so he was already involved in politics. Education is a major factor in governance as Fashola showed us what it is to have brains. Tinubu is well educated, you need to look-up his cv to see his wealth of work experience both in public sector and private. I will go for Ambode over Agbaje
DeletePDP FOR REAL NO LONG COMMENT WE NEED CHANGE IN LAGOS THE AREA BOYS ARE TOO MUCH.....
ReplyDeleteReally???
DeleteYes .. we need change. Some areas in Lagos have been totally marginalised. Stop being deceived, assess this Government with an open mind. The suffering from bad road is too much at Ikotun axis
DeleteTough call. Jimi maybe cuz his been @ it trying for years. But Ambode cuz I trust APC in Lagos state. I have seen their handwork courtesy Gov Fashola....the man tried gan.
ReplyDeleteSo yo were born in Lagos. Me I'm going with continuity , I love the way Fashola is already going everywhere with Ambode and campaigning for him. When Ambode wins by Gods Grace one can be sure he will build on the work already done and that is what Lagos needs
ReplyDeleteAmbode it is..
ReplyDeleteDear BVs, whenever you are bored,
Take a little out your precious time,
Naked and with all your might,
Start talking to God.
Tell him to ruin completely, the lives of those wrecking this country.
Tell Him to destroy them and their families.
Tell Him to grind Boko Haram.and their sponsors no matter who it may be.
This might sound funny but i have been doing it for the past three days.
Please do this. Pray for this country.
All these problems may not be affecting you now but one day, it might.
Before it does, let's join our hands and pray for this country.
I hate all these happenings.
Not nice at all. :'(
Nice one. We all (currently affected or not) needs to start doing something on our knees just like we did in the days of Abacha.
DeleteTheir families have nothing to do with this. If your father was a thief it wiuld be unfair to punish you with him. Make sense when cursing people and their innocent generations.
DeleteTolu,a.k.a captains boo,u av started making lots of sense ds days o.love is good o.na marriage change u so?
DeleteAnon 7:54.What will you then say to God who says "HE will visit the sins of the father on their offspring, even unto the FOURTH GENERATION?? thats like great great grandchildren, who were not even born at d time d sins were committed.
DeleteDo you know how many families, children that have been thrown into sorrow because of d wickedness and evil acts some people dished out to their loved ones? Some kids are now orphans cos they lost both parents in a blast, some parents have been rendered barren/childless in their old age bcos their child(ren) were killed in a blast(like d case of a woman who lost her ONLY CHILD to d Nyanyan bomb blast),some men are now widowers and some women became widows too, some families have been displaced from their homes and have become wanderers and refugees in another land, some have become disabled.....what about those kidnapped girls....arent they people's daughters, sisters, nieces too?
So my dear, Sunshine is very right if her prayers for vegeance cuts across the families of the evil doers(i pray such prayers too). They also need to have a taste of what they dish out to others.
Public service record is very important so I'll pick Ambode
ReplyDeleteAgbaje has no substance , where is his CV ? What positions has he ever held to prepare him to lead Lagos State? I will vote Ambode
ReplyDeleteI will just wait and read comments..
ReplyDeleteAmbode obviously...I want continuity. Fashola hasn't has been good nd I wouldn't want another party with an ex convict imposed candidate to take over
ReplyDeleteThe minute PDP rules Lagos. They will destroy the structures that have been put in place by the ruling party
Na APC get Lagos, that's what's up!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love Agbaje. He has this sophisticated intellectual suave gentlemanly look. I just love Agbaje. Ambode though looks reserved too but look deeply and you would see this omota thing in him. I just love Jimi Agbaje right from 2006 abi na when self...
ReplyDeleteNa look go kill you people. That is why Nigeria is not moving forward
DeleteA na emenu...
ReplyDeleteAmbode all the way. No two ways about it. He's the right man to cultivate our land. A good leader who cares about his people. I sing his praises everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWho are you voting Stella? Ambode is my man jare, a man who has something tangible to show for his career unlike Agbaje who couldn't even effectively run his one man pharmacy
ReplyDeleteSorry, me I can't leave out party factor. Agbaje's godfather Bode George is an ex convict , I will never hand my vote to Agbaje which will mean that Koro, Bode George will be ruling Lagos. Never
ReplyDeleteHandsome
ReplyDeleteLet pdp win lagos and apc win nigeria...#theprison
ReplyDeleteSon of Solomon
The minute Adgbaje's went to PDP he finished himself. PDP is destroying the centre and they must never be allowed to rule Lagos. I don't want Lagos to turn to the likes of Ondo and Ekiti
ReplyDeleteAll these story of don't look at party is what got us the clueless one, no more. PDP ruins everything they touch
ReplyDeleteTruth is Agbaje lacks experience, Lagos state needs experience so I'm picking Ambode
ReplyDeleteJimi agbaje ooooo
ReplyDeleteJimi agbaje 100% . My reason? Its about time power is taken from tinubu. No one should have a monopoly of power. Thats why we are in a democratic nation .
ReplyDeleteAnd that is why pdp has been there is the beginning of democracy abi

Ambode's jamb form shows hes not a lagosian, hes from ondo. So he does not qualify
ReplyDeleteTinubu ruled yet from Osun state. Barrack Obama is from Kenya. Ambode is a citizen of Lagos. yoruba people from where ever can rule Lagos State
Deleteanon ko bo shen shey e sounds jor
DeleteWhat has state of origin got to do with being a good leader? Get lost!
DeleteSadly I will say @Ambode.
ReplyDeleteBut for Presidency....it is @Good luck Jonathan
I think Lagosianz should vote out @Ambode Bcos of "god fatherism"
I really don't want @Tinubu to dictate anymore in Lagos
So I Pray @Jimi wins
@Galore
Sadly I will say @Ambode.

DeleteJimi Agbaje has a godfather too. Bode George.
Delete@Ranti, ur comment cracked me up. We are used to @Galore attaching @ to @everybody's name. I am still @laughing. LOL @ "at Jimi ko, in Jimi ni".
Delete@Galore, @Jimi Agbaje also has a @godfather and he is @Bode George.I think @Tinubu's godfatherism is better than that of @Bode George. The @two of them be "omo ita" but @Bode George is a step higher than @Tinubu cos added to his CV and achievements is the @Prison institution he also attended.
Whenever i decide to go into politics, @Galore will be my @god sister. @LMAO.
Bode all day every day. He's too good, intelligent and wide read. Of course kaykay is too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I will just vote bode for no reason since the parties are left out of this post.

DeleteAmbode all the way
ReplyDeleteAMBODE ALL D WAY. HE HAS AN EXCELLENT SPIRIT WHICH IS REQUIRED FOR A GOVERNOR OF LAGOS.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Jimi Agbaje! But if it's by party oh I won't vote PDP in Lagos lailai! They will just spoil everything
ReplyDeleteNone! They are all the same
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteJimi Agbaje is the best thing to have happen to PDP and lagos state at large. D masses await his emergence
We are all tired of one person deciding for us all in their selfish interest alone!
ReplyDeleteI like Ambode, he came from a humble background and he connects with the grassroots , Agbaje is too elitist. We need someone in touch with the people so I'm voting Ambode
ReplyDeleteAbout time to free Lagos from the arrogance and inhumanity of APC in Lagos state. Their officials at all levels strut around like lords over the people rather than servants of the people. We need change in Lagos state badly to challenge the so-called good governance.
ReplyDeleteSo what can you say about the federal level hasnt it been pdp?
DeleteTwo mouths Chinyelu. So now u are tired of one person ruling Lagos state(despite the visible achievements of d incumbent governor)but never tired of one incompetent person/party ruling at d federal level. You are just a biased PDP ass licker!
DeleteGosh...who in Amadioha's name are these political touts challenging every vote for the other opponent?
DeleteExactly the fault with this change brouhaha. .....am sure if Apc wins at all levels...there will definitely be extinction of public opinions.
Dont we have freedom to cast our votes wia it suits us....Urchins answer me with ur gutter languages cos ur political leaders have a quasi knowledge about change.
Lets her be....its her franchise
A society that is dominated by one political party is bound to act contrary to the wishes of the majority.Lagosians are livlng witness to this where majority serves the few privilege throuhgh hash policies. We want change in Lagos.
ReplyDeleteLet give Jimi Agbaje that mandate,he is not new in Lagos politics.
You berra gaaan flex opinion in ya state. Don't worry, na PSP truck dem go use pack Una for night go dump for uppiweka. Dey there and be making mouth in Stella's blog with your fake wishes that can't come true
DeleteOh Yes na u and u generation them go throw inside third mainland brigde. give ur own opinion and stop commenting under my post. idiot
DeleteI hope you believe in the same sentiments as regards PDP at the centre.
DeleteWe want Change at the Centre as Nigerians are living witness to the few friends of GEJ enjoying via contracts, Pension frauds and subsidy scam. Nigeria deserves a Change.
Oh no, reversed is Chinyelu's view for d federal level. You want change in Lagos state, that is not even ur state or geo-political zone but you want "status quo" for federal level. Nne, how much did PDP pay you? Tell them you have failed in the contract they gave you and they should look for a more sensible person, who can campaign better for their candidates without making his/her biased opinions so obvious like you have done.
DeleteJimi Agbaje will definitely win. he is our chioce
ReplyDeleteWin for wia?? Dream on!
DeleteYou and
DeleteWho's choice oga are speak for yourself
Im also a lagosian by birth...i don't know either of them, havent gotten time 2read bout their achievements or works although i came 2know bout agbaje during d election in which fashola won,no doubt he's credible or should i say he looks credible bla bla bla...Nevertheless id vote Ambode cos he's representing APC call me bias i really dnt care and guess what ur right *winks
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteJimi will make a better candidate for PDP to mache any opposition in Lagos State. Lagosians want change, we are tired of political propagandists in Lagos State.
Let d change start from the federal seat, biased woman.
DeleteDis Jimi guy looks serious, very serious, don't know anything about d 2 of them, but I am going for APC.

ReplyDeleteAgbaje looks more youthful and business- like whereas Ambode seems slanted for the 'owambe' grooves.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly the 2015 election will experience NON violence in lagos state i.e. if the rulling party want it. Am not a partisan politician, but i follow the trend as it goes. Really, this man of Jimi Agbaje, in the grass root has been tagged a good guy for that post of governor too, (since his debate with The present Governor Fashola) when they were preparing for the election then. In fact, you will see that out of all contenders, it was Mr. Jimi Agbaje that a lot of people were talking about. But then He was not in a right or i can say a powerful party in lagos. BUT NOW that he has come on Board and Governor Fashola is moving out in few months time. I think this man will be the right person. NOW EVERYONE HAVE OPENED THEIR EYES. THEY ARE VOTING FOR PERSONALTY NOW NOT PARTY OO O O O. Lets wait and see, if there wont be direct and or indirect lurring or rigging. The right peoples choice will emerged in 2015 for Lagos Gov. Jimi Agbaye.
ReplyDeleteIs it not voting for personality rather than party that got us where we are today with Jonathan?
DeleteSo i'll rather go with Ambode for continuity than Agbaje. Though I like Jimi since his debate with Fashola. But he's in a wrong party.
Bia Nwaa je ge welu oche u r everywhere @Chinyelu.
DeleteI will vote for Jim Agbaje any day, any time.
ReplyDeleteI would vote for ambode,he appears to know his onions and connects
ReplyDeleteWon't vote any cos both are same of the same that will impose taxation on us. Kyla
ReplyDeleteJK is ok!!!! Jimi Agbaje for Governor. Perfect gentleman. Lagos wants change, Lagos State wants Jimi
ReplyDeleteAmbode is my choice, Agbaje lacks experience
ReplyDeleteMaybe a change will do in Lagos but time will tell
ReplyDeleteTell Agbaje to show us his CV? He has nothing to offer
ReplyDeleteYes I may not like Tinubu but Bode George ex convict that is Agbaje's godfather is a lot worse so I'll stick with my Ambode
ReplyDeleteAgbaje keeps moving around from party to party , that's a man that has no ideals . Ambode is my choice
ReplyDeleteGod forbid that Agbaje the houseboy of Bode George the ex convict will govern Lagos.
ReplyDeleteJimi Agbaje, cos I love his simple face and i believe he shld be given a chance too
ReplyDeleteLol I hope his face will bring light and security to your neighbourhood
DeleteOnly a mad man changes a winning formular. I am going with continuity , Ambode for sure
ReplyDeleteI agree with u. Also Apc has done well at least in d West, Ibadan has be turned around and I can say that for Abeokuta. APC has be consistent in developing their States. They all deserve to continue.Ambode to sure
DeleteHmmm Jimi Agbaje is truly one man that Lagos will never regret voting in. I am flying down to lagos to cast my vote for him and I encourage all Nigerian Youths to vote JAYKAY
ReplyDeletewww. Nkataa.com/shola for all you market errands. Thanks
I'm sure Ambode will win, we need APC in Lagos and PDP in the centre to balance things
ReplyDeleteAmbode
ReplyDeleteI and my family will be voting for Ambode
ReplyDeleteEveryone around me has said gold thibgs about Ambode experience so I'll go with him
ReplyDeleteAs for me and my house, Ambode is the man
ReplyDeleteI hate PDP , it's full of touts like Bode George so I'll never vote Agbaje. Ambode has my vote jare
ReplyDeleteI don't like the monopoly of Tinubu but since the godfather of Agbaje is Bode George the kirikiri graduate I will stick with APC and Ambode is definetly qualified
ReplyDeleteLooking at their History Ambode has more to offer Lagos State
ReplyDeleteAmbo, atide. Ambode all the way. Public service experience and records.
ReplyDeleteJimi agbaje ni o
ReplyDeleteTired of tinubu ruling lagos abeg
Ambode has shown us his CV and it is very impressive. We do not want a 'good man' like Jonathan in Lagos. Jimi is at best a good commissioner in Lagos not a Governor for God's sake. By 2019 we will review Ambode's work and decide if we want APC to continue or not. APC has performed in Lagos so far so they should be rewarded.
ReplyDeleteAMBODE FOR SURE
ReplyDeleteAmbode joor.....a winning formular needs continuity
ReplyDeleteJIMI IS OK
ReplyDeleteTIRED OF TINUBU AND HIS TOUTS
But you want an ex-convict to pull the strings for jimi?
DeleteFor all the people who haven't seen Agbaje's CV which i am very sure is all over the internet and on his website (jimiagbaje.com, please find below:

Thank you so much sir but in what way has his achievements served the people?
DeleteOk, 'concerned...... in the dark days of ABACHA regime'. Do u know Bode George was one of the proponents and was in d fore front of Abacha for President? I was very young den but I can remember dt tv program airing chief Bode George, Jimi's God father telling Nigerians to support Abacha. I'm sorry I really like Agbaje, but Bode behind him is a no-no. Bode is an AGIP(any government in power), he has no ideals. Tinubu bad as he bad was a staunch supporter of NADECO, those were those who fought for democracy and won. Bode has no qualms about anything so long as it pays him, Tinubu on d oda hand may nt b a saint but still has ideals to envy. I support Tinubu and apologize for dis epistle.
DeleteThis Jimi man should go and serve in general hospital abeg.
DeleteAmbode is our next Governor. EOD!!
Bode George has never been Jimi Agbaje's godfather so people should please stop spreading rumors. The relationship between him and Bode George is nothing like the slave and master relationship between Tinubu and Ambode
ReplyDeleteWhatever! At least Tinubu's protégés are working!!
DeleteStop telling lies. Bode George is his godfather and was the one who took him to see Jonathan as the preferred candidates before the primaries. This has been Koro's grouse from day one.
DeleteJayKay all the way
ReplyDeleteAmbo...Atide! even with d last drop of my blood!
ReplyDeleteJimi Agbaje will be governor of Lagos state
ReplyDeleteJK we know, JK we trust
ReplyDelete*Yawns*..Happy new year SDK, Happy new year my dear BVS. I love you all. Let MOI continue with the booze..Nah serious enjoyment we dey.:)
ReplyDeleteAPC is just using Fashola as a poster boy for Ambode, whether he is pleased with it or not.
ReplyDeleteAnyways it no go work oooo, we are going out enmasse to vote for Agbaje
Ambo all d way!!!!!!!!!! *winks*
ReplyDeleteAmbo! Ambo!! Ambo!!! A ma tide o * flying*
ReplyDelete"If there is one wholesome reason Agbaje should be sitting pretty in Alausa, next May, it is because, he had never been called a thief before...Agbaje stands very clean in public life. Now, Akinwumi stands, called a THIEF.. It would be tough to call Agbaje a thief. He never held any of these juicy offices before..
ReplyDeleteAmbode, on the other hand, had been in the civil service for decades. When you have been around for that long, you must be the worst kind of unrepentant felon, to deny your hand was in the public till in Nigeria. We safely pronounce Akinwumi Ambode a Hophni, but we slack, compared to Fashola, who fired him for huge frauds.
And Fashola did not sack Ambode on the grounds of a governor’s righteousness, because, Fashola himself has trouble keeping his fingers from the public till. Fashola hates Ambode’s guts because the chap is a thief, yes, but more than that, there is this rivalry you find among Tinubu’s trainees, and tools. To be sure, Tinubu himself encourages the rivalry the way a deft-handed puppeteer and mastermind handles his craft.
Fashola was at loggerheads with Tinubu for a long time over the succession issue. His main slogan was “anybody else but Ambode”. How long Fashola would remain cowed is another topic. He kept rolling out his reel of naivety by hoping he could have a tiny say in who the successor would be. He moved from that failure to the hope for a VP ticket and failed again. We will rip Fashola open one day to see what lies inside this Bourdillon messenger, who wants to challenge his boss with sheer posturing.
Fashola caught Ambode’s hand in the till and wanted to sack him shamefully. He developed cold feet at the instance of Bourdillon’s protection. “Okay” said Bourdillon, “He truly stole these billions, but we could ill afford to wash APC’s linen in the sun.please, let him resign honorably”. So Ambode, the brilliant bandit escaped, and is now programmed for a greater opportunity to finish the job of finishing Lagos off. There was rivalry, but there was also the kind of theft which stings the nostrils of other thieves. Ambode’s exploits in Alausa stung Fashola’s nostril...
These newts learn nothing from Tinubu, which is why they develop high blood pressure every time Lagos opens for a governor. They want to worm their way into his heart. Error! The man has no heart, which is why he loots and grabs the way he does with a great deal of success..
Ambode rounded up accountants and finance workers in Alausa, ostensibly for a refresher course or retreat trip to South-Africa. It was at a time Obasanjo’s hound (efcc) was sniffing Tinubu’s blood. The noose was close. Glasses were clinking in Aso Rock. It was premature celebration. Obasanjo, like the tank, is not such a smart fighter. He underestimated Tinubu. If anything told us that Obasanjo’s military prowess was a tall-tale, it was the white washing Tinubu gave him in Lagos, all those years. Obasanjo did not meet a match in Tinubu (that would be an insult), he met a master.
How did anyone who read Tinubu right, not think for once that the man bought heavily into the efcc. Of course, he got information before Obasanjo did. He was way ahead of grandstanders. He only indulged in that, a few months after the job was done. He learnt of the onslaught from Ribadu’s main men. The computers were cleaner than whistles by the time efcc came calling. Who did they think they were after? Yahoo boys?
By the time Ambode returned from SA with the heavily padded accountants, the fog covering the case was heavier than harmattan haze at its December peak. Well, that was when the weather and sanity walked together.
Ambode scored heavy when he sprang Tinubu (not necessarily from jail), but from a huge shame which could have kept him from open politics the rest of his life. These people do not jail each other for simply stealing public money. You had to have done more than that. A chip off the old block, that was the moment Tinubu found his next governor."
Yep, interesting but may b true or false. Bcos many pple are already poised for ambode, dis write up IMO does nt do Jimi any gud. 1. It makes Agbaje sound naive, so d question dt comes to mind is, he has nt been there b4, who knows hw much he will steal if he gets there esp wit a pdp background? Now, u make Ambode sound like a very gudt bad guy. Truth is he sounds interesting and most Nigerians are nt totally against corruption Dats bcos almost all of us are corrupt at one level or d oda, so somewhr in our minds we are willing to bend d rule whn it suits us. Do nt b surprised dt if d same allegations were levelled against anoda say Koro for instance, it wud b a really big deal.

Wow!! Interesting read indeed...
DeleteUr story may be true or false but Jim again is in the circle of mega thieves and because of this he won't win nor get my vote. Pop cldnt even hold a peaceful primary. All pointers shows Pepsi. I doesn't deserve our votes
DeleteCompliment of the season SDK. Ambode for Lagos State.
ReplyDeleteAmbode all the way. i will vote for AMBODE.

ReplyDeleteGod will punish u plenty times for tryin to use religion to pull a wool on us. Hw much of Islamizing did Fashola or even jagaban do? I despise simple minded politifcians like u, cos u know Nigerians are gullible and will fall at religious sentiments. Pls scamper away cos some of us are poised to see dt religious tool dismantled. And yes, I am a christian. If u want to discredit in future, pls b more objective.
DeleteI thought Ambode is a Christain.
DeleteIt's Jimi Agbaje for me and I think he will be better than Fashola bbut if he isn't then he should be kicked out in the next election.

ReplyDeleteTinubu's proteges are working my foot!! No worries! your children to the third generation will still be paying off the debt that Tinubu's proteges have racked up in Lagos, that's aside from the huge tax burden that we all have to endure.
ReplyDeleteI am tired of ignorant people talking rubbish
Agbaje for governor
ReplyDeleteBode George is not Jimi Agbaje's godfather ooooo
ReplyDeleteKai no wonder Nigeria is where it is, no progress since 1999 what a pity. Abeg as for me it is JayKay all the way
ReplyDeleteDon't mind them just because there is a godfather in APC they believe there is also a godfather in PDP. I agree Bode George is not Agbaje's godfather
ReplyDeleteUna don forget say anbode dey on top una recharge card?Onbo don win jor.
ReplyDeleteOnly God will help niger cos all we have recycled products
ReplyDeleteFor continuity alone, I will be voting Ambode. I cringe at the thought of handing over Lagos to the PDP and Bode George. President Jonathan is very determined to impose people of questionable character as powerful figures in the SW. Bode George of all people now wants to call the shots in Lagos. God forbid. Apologies to Jimi Agbaje bu he is in the wrong party and just buried his political career in this wrong crowd. Jimi Agbaje will lose by a land slide.
ReplyDeleteTo everyone criticizing Jimi Agbaje, I guess not much is known about him hence the criticisms. In addition to founding Jay-Kay pharmaceuticals Jimi is also a founding shareholder of guarantee trust bank. For those who do not understand what that means, loosely translated, it means Jimi was one of those who put his money down and in addition convinced his father(a banker of great repute) for his(Jimi's Father's) name to be used in securing GTBs Banking license. The late Tayo Aderinokun and Fola Adeola were professionals who were relatively unknown as at then. Till today the Agbaje's maintain a sizable shareholding stake in Gtb. He also turned down an executive directorship position for his investment and efforts and instead had his younger brother who was a banking professional brought into the bank in his stead while he played an advisory role. That shows you the kind of man he is as GTB is one of the top 5 banks in Nigeria today. He was a big part of building that brand.
DeleteAlso in 2007, when tinubu had issues with Fashola and it appeared Fashola was more or less headed to Labour due to Tinubu's unwavering attitude, Agbaje was approached and offered the A.C.N Governorship ticket on a platter of gold, he being the only man who in their calculations could defeat Fashola having done it before at the channels television debate. Guess what he did, he refused to sign their Bourdillion agreements and declined the ticket on a moral basis. He told them he wasn't that desperate to govern lagos and that he recognized the fact that Fashola had done well and should be allowed to go for a second term, and he wouldn't allow himself to be used as a tool to block that. It was based on that refusal that A.C.N ran back to patch things up with Fashola. Now do you really think a man like that would be subservient to Bode george? check Jimi's clique of friends, you have professionals like otedola, the adeolas, Adenuga, Majekodunmis, Ovia, Sunmonu, e.t.c all of them are professionals. Do you really think it'd be difficult for him to put together a competent team of technocrats to move Lagos to the promised land?
To everyone making so much noise about the wrong party, please tell me, what party is the right party? is it A.P.C where Tinubu would never allow an independent minded man like Jimi to emerge? Or Labour which has no structures on ground? In PDP independent minded men thrive, that is why you have Governors like Akpabio and Chime, while people like obong attah and Nnamani lick their wounds(Bode George's eventual fate).
Agbaje made his billions in the private sector, slaving hard and working hard, he has some public sector experience having sat on LASG hospital management board before...and doesn't have the conditioned mentality of the civil service to steal money and share like Ambode does. He is also not as desperate as ambode to clinch the office(google ambode's indigeneship fiasco)
Ambode has that civil service mentality and came out of the civil service with over 20 billion naira to his name. The offence for which Fashola almost sacked him before Tinubu asked for a soft landing for him? Underreporting Lagos state's IGR and sharing the balance with his boss Tinubu. Fashola would've worked more were tinubu not in the picture and mind you fashola had private sector experience. Ambode is just like Jonathan, he's been in the civil service all his life. That kind of experience doesn't count in governance. He would run an elitist government. Ashafa was rewarded for Land fraud with senatorial slot. Ambode is being rewarded for IGR fraud with Governorship slot.
Vote out Tinubu and his acolytes. Seize lagos back for lagosians. Vote Agbaje. Vote change.
Story Story Story. Anon 11am please substantiate.
DeleteJust because Bode George preferred Agbaje to Obanikoro does not make him Agbaje's godfather. an embittered Koro was just blabbing rubbish. stop peddling lies Bode George never took Agbaje to Jonathan.
ReplyDeleteTinubu's wife, son-in-law, daughter, nephew, sister-in-law and brother-in-law are all in lagos state govt, i guess Lagos has now become a tinubu family business and they have employees like you gladly paying taxes, making the family business rich. I feel sorry for you
