When was the time something happened to you and time stood still for a few seconds/minutes?
My time stood still moments are plenty but two stand out...
-The first time i saw a man's private and my mouth dropped wondering WTF...LMAO!
-The first time i stared into the eyes of my son,my heart stopped beating from shock but i was jolted back to reality when he let out the loudest cry i have ever heard.lol

Time stood still when I lost my mum...I was called to her side, efforts have been made to resuscitate her all to no avail.she had been certified dead by my colleague I couldn't even shed a tear I was still in my ward coat..I ran to the call room I pulled of the coat and went back to her side...I rubbed her hands they were still warm,the nurse have closed her eyes they didn't want me to see the death stare, I'm glad I didn't either,I raised her head it fell back and turned to the side.the nurses have called my sister, though my mum was screened like any other patient I have confirmed death but the ward was quiet all the patients and their relatives looking on...her hugged her for the last time I hugged her dead body, I couldn't cry all I could do was start muttering lord have mercy, lord please forgive while still hugging her body the nurses had to ask me what was I doing since they didn't hear me crying..I stood up at that moment and said I was praying I turned my back walked out of that ward got to the doctors call room and cried my eyes out barely 20mins later her body was wheeled past me to the mortuary...the next time I saw her. That same evening she looked peaceful but cold...

Blog analyser: the day I was expelled from secondary school for giving my class mates clothes to wear to parties. It was really painful and my mind stopped for a while we were been adressed in the assembly ground. Those were the events that shaped me. I gained admission the same year l finished from another secondary skul. I am abt to add masters to my cap. So grateful God if not for that event I wonder where I would be.

TST moment for me I guess was my first sexual encounter. It was many heart ago but I remember it clearly cos the pain I felt was out of this world. I practically died and woke up. Don't know if the pain I felt was normal but I've come to realise over the years that I have a very low pain threshold.

Time stood still when I realised how loving and caring my boy friend is. The guy that I kept on saying No to since 2010 when we were in the univeristy. He never gave up. He kept on trying. Was always around. Begging me to atleast be his friend n not eliminate him 4rm my life. Well I said yes this year and I have never regretted it up till now. Another one happenned about a month ago. I had a very good friend that all of a sudden stoped calling, each time i called itis either it didnt connect or it will ring witout any answer. Meanwhile i was forming vex and planning all i will do/tell him anyday he calls.
Then one day i decided to drop a msg for him on fb, after i droped the msg, i decided to check his timeline to know wen last he visited fb. Lo and behold what i saw left me shattered, even up to this moment!. I found out he was dead and being a muslem he has even been long buried.. he died in july and i found out in Nov..that particular time has been still in me..

Then anothe beautiful one was the day we graduated from school, after the final reconcilation of results i found out i was the best graduated student of my class. Wow!! Thank God for that grace.

I can remember asking him where that thing was going to enter. I was beyond shocked and confused!

On a certain night, this boy kept doing this up till around 9pm. I was so angry I waited just behind the closed door. He had barely rung the bell again when I ran out and chased him down. ReplyDeleteWe were watching this movie with his friends & family after 1 month break up reconciliation, in the movie, the guy asked a lady to marry him, So when he said that I though he was just saying it bcos he watched the movie before . But the eyes of those with so were as large as football and giggling . I turned and followed their eyes direction, behold, bros knee for one leg, they form proposing .FOOLISH me, I remembered saying STOP INSULTING YOURSELF MY FRIEND, Then lean towards him & said I dey for my period in case your snake is angry so e no go work today !
Then the his elder brother that's like his best friend stood in front of the TV with a cardboard sign that said PLEASE SAY YES TO CHUKWUDI & US .
Stella, I no know wetin come happen o, My head begin swim, one kind noise dey ring there, everything stopped including their breathing & light,whether na joy or shame or na surprise make me faint ,die,dey go heaven come remember say I never say yes. Na so I rush fly for him head o!
Till date, each time I watch the tape, na so so light head I dey feel o .
Follow by the day I opened my eyes, confused looking at my surrounding and heard a voice said Thanks you my love,We made it with his phone stuck in my face showing the most beautiful cute little Angel sleeping .I had her through c-section . When they placed her in my hands, I was shaking like a leaf in the wind with excitement that the nurses rushed in because my heart beat can be heard across the street and took her from me .
These are my Aaaah time !

Time stood still for me when my baby & I were having a misunderstanding she used a conversation she had with my mum to hurt me! That moment I felt my world crumbling it hurt so much I didn't expect that from her. My love, baby, wifey, all in one just hurt me in order to make a point. It is well!!!

Mine was the first time I did a HIV test. In those days you had to wait for 7 days for the result to come out.
ReplyDeleteO'boy I think I died and came back to life many times those long 7 days of waiting.
The worse part was when I went for the result they put it in an envelope and used superglue to seal it.
My hands were shaking so much that it took me about an hour to open it in which time I had died and resurrected.
My dear, when I saw ne (the beginning of negative) my knees gave way for the relief. Na from dat time I come born again.

It was all politics and I was caught in a crossfire of "lecturers' interests"; some expected me to fail and repeat the class but I passed to their utmost surprise. A new rule was enacted immediately to make me leave the school. When they saw they couldn't prevail; their folly staring them to the face; they changed the rule again . . .

ReplyDeleteAnother one was d day I escaped death by a miracle fall, I was walking along d road when a car lost control and was heading towards my direction, I ran and it kept coming towards me, was so confused almost said my last prayer, asked for forgiveness of sins then I don't know how it happened I fell inside d gutter and d car jumped over me, God I thought I was dead, closed my eyes tightly, twas d voices and cries of people DAT jolted me back to reality, d drew me out from d gutter and started praising God on my behalf, d people in d car were rushed to d hospital. Each time I remember dis incidents, I still have goose pimples all over me.

I screamed and called hubby because he was at work. I was so happy.

ReplyDeleteTime stood still when I had an overall health check, everything you can think about including HIV test and waited for the result.....Oh boy did I die a million times over.....NEGATIVE for HIV and others were positive results .....and then the clock continued ticking...One can never be too careful.....God is merciful.... Never really had an awwwwwww moment, but with the cravings of motherhood I've been having, I'm sure I'll have that moment....or when I fall in love and get married. ...

Even that my gf's bf or ex warned me well o to be careful with those ones, but then I thought they were sane ppl. I just couldn't imagine my friend bin senseless enough to sleep wit my bf. To cut the long story short, my friend's bf called her from jand and asked wat she was doing there. She started forming vex o, meanwhile they had broken up.

Of course I thought they were forming dating, until a mutual friend between I and my gf called and told me. For a few mins I couldn't breath, I was gasping for air, had to lie on the floor and I stated fanning myself. I was too shocked cos of the betrayal. My friend and my bf. God foebid!!! I didn't eat for 3 days and I actually lost weight with immediate effect (no jokes)
