President Goodluck Jonathan has said that it is only God that knows why he made him President of Nigeria and it is Him also that will continue to direct him.
Jonathan who spoke at the 2014 Christmas Carol, organized by the Aso Villa Chapel at the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja said: “God knows why we are here. Nobody will place himself in any position without God. So God that gives all of us the opportunity will see us through.
“For me your servant today, I will continue to request for your prayers that God should give me the wisdom to do what is right in His sight.
“Because it is quite challenging for a leader. For every subject that you want to take a decision, you will have multiple suggestions, some contradictory, some to the left, some to the right, some to the centre. But you must take a decision.
“It is only God that can guide you to take the rightful decision that will not bring suffering to your people.”
President Jonathan insisted that nobody can place himself in a position of authority without the consent of God, even as he expressed the belief that God, who chose him, would see him through.
“We pray that God should give those of us who are in charge the grace to do things with the fear of God. If we begin to do what is right in our own little way, this nation will survive.
“We will try our best and we will continue to do our best. We promise that any opportunity given to us, we will use it to serve mankind.”
FUCK OFF jonathan,we don't currrr
ReplyDeleteBuahahahaha
DeleteCyndy e haf vex oh..
The shoeless man that suddenly has golden shoes and is stepping on the masses and citizens.
DeleteI doubt if he remembers God put him there#rme
Even sef na God choose king Saul, David and Solomon. And when dem fuck up, God dealt with dem.
DeleteGod go treat ya fuck up for febuary 2015 election.
o yea..he chose u and how did u make use of the opportunity??.. i think the hand of God have left ur administration
ReplyDeleteDon't mind him.
DeleteGod chose you so therefore you won't do your work again.
Did God choose you so u don't care that our army is Ill equipped for the war against boko haram?
Did God choose you so you look the other way when d court decided to execute the poor soldiers when they refused to go on the suicide mission you sent them?
Honestly I always feel deeply sorry for Mr President. I know that a lot are aggrieved with his style of governance, but unfortunately, it takes a rugged man to rule a country as ours. Of which is a burden on him because he definitely isn't rugged, and the issue is beyond his capacity to control.
DeleteI also know that no man would be president and wish that under his watch, all manner of evil should prevail over his governance. Therefore it eliminates the few suggestions that Jonathan is having a ball to the detriment of Nigerians. He is no doubt a weak man, and what I do know is that the very minute he steps down from that office BH will stop the massacre. I however do not understand this, should a none northerner emerge as the next president of Nigeria, would they continue with the insurgency?
If Buhari is elected into office and the insurgency is curtailed, Buhari will take the glory for a hard work done when the truth would be that being a northerner is what would have done the magic. Nonetheless I am more interested in them stopping the killing no matter who makes them quit.
Safe to conclude that the zonal arrangement is what is killing this country, not Jonathan. But he unfortunately suffers as the crown wearer because of his costly inaction to stop the killings. An issue that I know he cannot resolve even if he is given another 8 years in office. The ONLY way he can stop it is if he sacrifices his 2015 ambition to remain in power. So basically, or indirectly, he still has the solution in his hands.
This I think Mr President knows, hence he has resorted to asking for our collective prayers to aid his governance. Whether this would suffice it or not, 2015 is a few weeks away. Only time will tell.
Seriously? ???
ReplyDeleteCan we all stop this God thing and do our work?
God will not come down and fix Nigeria. Thats why He created men.
This is just so annoying
Thank u oooo Bishop. ..
DeleteAgwo himself, have u graduated from DR to Bishop? Av missed ur comments o!
DeleteYou have said it all. No leader that relies heavily on religion in the world today has succeeded. Jonathan is a religious extremist, the problem with that is, he believes God will automatically solve our problems and he is refusing to put in work.
DeleteTrue talk GEJ. may God see you through.
ReplyDeleteGlo network better behave you have been swallowing most of my comments oh

DeleteOf course God knows. GEJ till 2019.
ReplyDeleteHe's been calling God a lot this period. Trust Nigerians to fall for all these religious sentiments!
ReplyDeleteReligion is not a reason for mediocrity, his beliefs in God should have spurred him to work hard and rule this country in way that will please God,not in the lackadaisical way that he has, he has practically run this country to the ground. I like his so much but I'm really disappointed at his score sheet as the president of this country.
NewBie!
Ewoooh! Pardon my typos biko!
DeleteNewBie!
Spot on! That is PDP's new tactics. Using religion as a tool to further deceive the people. Doyin Okupe had the guts to even compare him to Jesus.

ReplyDeletePlease let's not insult the man. At least he is still our president.
ReplyDeleteI think He made you a leader to lead His people aright, He is the landlord and you the caretaker. Now, in all truthfulness sir would you say you have taken care of His flocks the way it would please Him? That is what you should be worried about, we all God's plans are for good, the point is how did we treat/use that good plan.
ReplyDeleteReason why we are still d way we are...We need to move aside this religious sentiments and get off to work together for a better Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteI guess imposing candidates on the masses is part of God's direction abi? Nonsense

Now it is crystal clear to ex_Gov Chris Ngige and Gov Rotimi Amaechi dat there's a particular tribe dat doesn't want an Igbo man in Aso Rock. Now they used d Executives n serving Govs , then dumped them. None retained ticket nor won a senotarial ticket. It's all good. Lessons learnt.
Gen Buhari is not d problem, he is a good family man, d media has been paid to run him down, dats all. He lost it by merging CPC wit CAN. Poor him.

And few meters away from d Udechukwus, feelers say Chief Tony Anenih is likely to spend some days wit his in-laws in Umuazu Village, same Uke Town, his son is married to Chief Nnanyelu Eliogu's (Actress Jennifer Eliogu) daughter Joy. It's gonna be merriment galore as d 2 parties come down to solicit for votes ahead 2015 Elections.

ReplyDeleteGod's unfailing grace is all anyone needs to succeed...Mr president do try to stay under the grace, its not too late to make your way straight before God anoints another leader...remember God made saul king and also anointed David when saul strayed out of His grace
ReplyDeleteHe also said he won't stay beyond 2015 in office. Sir, we are finding it difficult catching up with your marathon lies.
