Modupe Ozolua Enters Dangerous Creeks Of Bayelsa To feed The Poor.....

From November 23rd to November 29th 2014, the founder of Body Enhancement Foundation, Modupe Ozolua, and her team conducted their November free medical mission and food donation programs that included distribution of medical glasses and medication, in the dangerous creeks of Bayelsa State.

600 50kg bags of rice donated by the Nigeria Customs Service.

According to Ozolua, many people have the misconception that Bayelsa State is flowing with milk and honey simply because the President is from there. Little do they know that it’s a land over flowing with poverty, neglect, anger and cries for help.

The programs had two teams, the medical team performed eye examinations, gave out medication and glasses to the underprivileged; while the food drive team went to both inland and riverine communities in the dangerous creeks distributing bags of rice to the poor.

Modupe Ozolua and her food drive team travelled for 3hours by speedboats to access the remote and dangerous creeks and Atlantic ocean of Brass and Southern Ijaw LGAs that are infamous for sea pirates and kidnappings. The Nigerian Navy supported them with high-powered gunboats and security personnel for security.

The local governments visited during the 7 days free medical and food drive missions were OGBIA, SAGBAMA, SOUTHERN IJAW, and BRASS, YENAGOA LGAs.

The Nigeria Customs Service supported the food donation program by donating 600 50kg bags of rice which were distributed to 48 communities in the state (28 land & 20 riverine only assessable via water).

The Medical team treated 2, 000 patients and the programs were sponsored by AutoPlaza Nigeria, Nigeria Customs Service, Body Enhancement Ltd, Dana Group, Trenur Nigeria Ltd, and Honorable Shenu Gusau Ibahim (Zamfara Federal).

    1. How many pple do u think he will help? if u are there u will do ur best and leave the rest to God. How many pple do u think you can satisfy?

    2. You can ask any indigene of Awka Ibom state how Obong Godswill Akpabio has been able to satisfy a whole community, Ukan Ikot Ntuen? Or how James Ibori was able to satisfy his community so that the youths there staged a war against the arrest of Onanefe with the govt using human barricade. Need I go on. In life we should learn to stand strong for our own no matter whose ox is gored bc as the Yoruba say na only your own be your own (tiwa n' tiwa).
      However man pass man.

    3. Chinyelo not withstanding Haba. Charity begins at Home. If he can't start from his own home country how would he touch other states? C'mon now.
Anyone running for office in any political capacity would/should usually start from their own street, jurisdiction, community, before spreading across. How can you jump the pothole in front of your house only to go and build a gutter way in another person's house? How will those outside trust u to deliver to then when ur people haven't benefited from u?
Abeg he no do well biko. Meanwhile custom rice, hope no be the ones wey dem seize ? Lol. Job well done to Ozolua jare. God bless her

    5. Was GEJ not the dep gov in that state before he became gov and then to the fed? Why didn't he fix it then?

      Delete
    6. You should have asked the president then to fix the state. Thank God you said deputy Governor as if you dont know the post is just ceremonial in Nigeria. How lobg did he stay as governor in Bayelsa state. 2 years from 9 december 2005 to 29may 2007. Am not trying to hold brief for him, just dont like people peddling falsehood.

As for the underdeveloped thingy its a common thing in the Niger Delta not just Bayelsa, they discover oil, set up exploration companies with expatriates flying in and out in their helicopters and leave indegenes to die in misery and poverty, the people of ogoni still cry out for help due to the oil spillage on their land
That's why the youths kidnap these experts demanding huge amount of money(for their pocket though)
All the same I'M PROUDLY NIGER DELTAN, PROUDLY ITSEKIRI and GOD BLESS NIGERIA
