Elton John Marries His Long-Term Partner

Sir Elton John and David Furnish have officially married - nine years to the day after they tied the knot in a civil partnership ceremony.

In his first post on his newly-created Instagram account,Sir Elton put up an invitation requesting "the pleasure of your company" and said the couple would share "special moments from our big day".

On Sunday morning, he posted a photo of himself, pen in hand, sitting next to Furnish with the message: "That's the legal bit done. Now on to the ceremony!"
The Beckhams and Elizabeth Hurley are among the high-profile guests attending the ceremony at the couple's mansion in Old Windsor, Berkshire.

Hurley tweeted a picture of herself with her son, saying: "On our way to Elton and David's wedding. V excited."
Sir Elton later posted a picture of the ceremony, showing the registrar welcoming guests.

She is seen standing in front of a Damien Hirst work called The Incomplete Truth - a dove suspended mid-flight in formaldehyde.
The wedding menu is wild mushroom soup with truffle cream, followed by beef short rib and caramelised onion pie, warm chocolate pudding and wedding cake.
The light lunch will be washed down with Pouilly Fumé Baron de 'L' 2009 and Laurent-Perrier Rose wines.

Before the ceremony, Sir Elton posted an image of their two sons' shoes, with the message: "Our little ring bearers are fast asleep, and their shoes are polished and ready."

The 67-year-old singer and Canadian-born filmmaker tied the knot in a star-studded civil partnership ceremony at Windsor Guildhall on 21 December, 2005.
Earlier this year, Sir Elton told Sky News why it was important for him and Furnish to marry now it was legal.

"We had our big shebang when we had our civil union, but we will (have a wedding).

"I think it's a great opportunity to take advantage of the new laws and to celebrate," he said. - cULLED

    2. One day I was discussing with this cute white dude and in the course of talking I mad mention of my hubby's laziness with house chores he just smiled and told me" my husband is also very lazy with house chores".I thought I didn't hear him well then he started ranting about how as a wife it can be very frustrating when your husband doesn't assist you at home and that he was considering a separation from his husband. I was gobsmacked to hear a man refer to himself as a wife to another man. This gay thing is one of those things I will never come to terms with in this life.

  8. Mehn! It still baffles me how a man will leave all the beautiful damsels in the world only to get married to a full flesh dude like him. I keep wondering what the attraction could be. Am not against anybody's sexuality, but when i read stories like these, it got me thinking. I wish them what they wish themselves though.

  13. Oh!

Mothers in the house who have had cs (not Dr's pls,i'm tired of hearing rehearsed crap, like they all read from one textbook) Does the pain really go away? The migraine, back pain n sore belly marks close to the incision point.
I wonder why any sane woman would opt for CS. The pain is beyond classification.
I feel incapable of caring for my lil born,i have never been dependent, now I need help just to get off my bed.
To crown it all,my both mothers keep telling me to 'be a woman and suck it up'. All women aren't wired the same goddamit. And No,this isn't post natal depression cos I love my little boy to d heavens and back,i just wish I could do more for him. I feel so pressed down n run over.
I am used to being in control and being the strong one so every one thinks it's business as usual. A little more empathy from DH wouldn't hurt. No I'm not complaining,God bless his poor heart, dude is clueless as to how to make me feel better....i'm just one mad black woman today.. Depressed,No.. just mad, really mad.
I just needed to rant..get this off my chest.

In all of this Lord I am not ungrateful, thank you for the gift of life,im only ranting at the quality of it.

      Hugs to you darling.
I get where you are coming from.
      I do, really.
Seems you recently had your baby. Congratulations first of all.

Dont worry, you will get better with time ok.
I was also completely dependent too for about 3 to 4 days after going through CS.
The pain was mad, but somehow, I pulled through.
      We all do.

You may not like the sound of this, but I'm so opting for a CS next time.
After the horrible near death experience I had while giving birth to my first vaginally, I gladly embraced CS oh.
      Hmmmmmm!
      *Shivers at the memory*

      To each his own though...

Hugs to you dear and kisses to your baby.
You'll be fine with time, trust me.
      All the best.

    2. When did u hv it done.. Maybe something is not right.. I had my last baby through CS... After 5 days i was i no pain at all and by two wks my scar wasnt so visible..If i do have another baby i will opt for CS no strenght to go and be shouting in the labour room biko...
Just be strong and kiss ur little one for me..

    3. Pele my dear Anony. I think it depends on once body cos I had little or no pains when I had my babies thru Cs (two of them). I had one without Cs ask which I prefer if I'm to go again? Through Cs my dear. D pains leave after d day of Cs. Of course they give analgesic suppository or so dnt really knw d name. It makes d pains mild. Ndo nne. U wl be fine soonest. Congrats.

    4. I had pains for a month maybe cos I had twins and my belly was big, when u try to sit and my belly shakes like this its pain o,but I think the pain subsides gradually

    5. Sorry dear.dont know buh compared to my own CS(One vaginal birth,2 CS)it was Sooo smooth sailing.i was out in 20 mins.was "awake" And chatting with d nurses while the Team of Doctors were working away.
Was given an epidural.and Moved to d recovery room where i spent d Night under sedation.woke up around midnight, asked for Water. And in d morning,i was cleaned up.i found it a bit difficult in walking buh asides that,i was Fine.

Having gone vía the two,i Would gladly opt for CS any day.
That being said, our bodies react differently,to differnt things at different times.
In as much as i said i wil gladly take CS Over natural birth,my second CS wasnt as smooth as d first.
The pain After d CS nearly killed me...dey said it was spinal headache.Inukwa spinal headache! Odiegwu ma dear!

U know what? Just take ur Mind off it dear. And u wil be Fine.again, get as much rest as possible And keep ur two moms in d sitting room cos if not,u know mothers, dey wil keep Telling u wot u should be doing And not doing. And dat wil only get u more depressed. And anxious too.
As for ur Poor DH,he is prolly more overwhelmed dan u.this is new for him as well, dont forget that.
      In d end,Lets be grateful,knowing everything wil be fine.ok?
You have a Gorgeous Lil Boy And dats all dat matters.
      Warm hugs dear.

    6. Awww Anony I understand your pain perfectly but just hang in there the pain will Wayne in a matter of days at most 2weeks.
I was up and doing 5 days after my CS but like they say we are wired differently. But please if after 2weeks you still don't feel better then insist that the Dr should do a check up on you because there might be a slight mistake. In the meantime you just need to rest and not lift a limb . You sound like a strong independent woman but just relax and get well first very soon you will have your groove back then you will get back to running your affairs. As for DH please bear with him, most men get confused and overwhelmed when they see the one they love in pains. Let your mothers take care of the baby for now while you focus on getting better . You have a lifetime to spend with your bundle of joy remember. So please relax and don't sweat it. Once again congratulations on your bundle of joy. And Hahahahahahaha yes all Doctors read the same books so don't be too harsh on them.
      Warm hugs darling.
