I told him to give me time. Next thing was that I saw myself getting married and all these happened in less than a year. But guess what, I find it funny and I thank God everyday for him because he is one of the best things to happen to me. He did promise that he would propose to me with a beautiful ring when I least expect it and I know he will. Nne, it's good to have a sweet proposal but having a good man is the most important thing.

The art of seduction and romance are alien to the Nigerian culture, so you really can't blame them. Most Nigerian guys who are romantic, were either exposed to Western culture or read books on it. Some even copy moves from the movies. I'm blessed to be married to my adorable angel, my heartbeat and the wind that accelerates my sail. He's Nigerian but spent over 30years overseas. As a matter of fact, we met barely a month after he relocated to Nigeria but I gave him a tough time before I agreed to date him(fond memories! Lol). Don't even get me started on the gist of his proposal! It was amazingly breathtaking! That was12years ago but I still get all flustered reliving one of the best days of my life. Ohhh! I love that man more with each passing day. I can't believe I'm teary eyed already! Gosh! It's ethereal to love and be loved but disastrous when your love isn't reciprocated.
