Listening to this will intrigue and guide you.....and you might even get upset.
We are a generation of idiots, smart phones and people?
Technology is killing relationships and family values.
Some people are so busy with their phones and laptops that life passes them by....
If you take out time to listen to it,please discuss it and state your point of views.
Chai! So true. The evil that technology has caused on relationships........
ReplyDeleteYes! It ruined me!
DeleteAs in ehn....husband and wife will be at home, husband in the living room, wife in the bedroom, both chatting on their phones till its time to sleep, next day as soon as they wake up, first thing they each do Is grab their phones, so terrible. That's my brother and his wife. Technology has killed Love wallahi.
DeleteIt's sad o. If only we can look up from our phones........
And yet he used same technology to pass the message across
DeleteI comment my reserve...
DeleteUnfortunately I can't open....sad
ReplyDeleteVery true. I'm sooooo feeling guilty. The last time I went home and was with popsy alone at home, I did more of "my fone" than him. I'll have to sit up mehn.
DeleteSo Stella, no SDK blog be that o!
Interesting peice... Whn I'm heartbroken, my phone distracts me.
ReplyDeleteWill sit and wait for comments lip sealed
ReplyDeleteWowwww
ReplyDeleteNice piece! As with everything else, technology has it's pros and cons. It has been an avenue for some people to make d best connections and also a reason for breaking up fantastic relationship. How we go do na? Gotta go with the flow and hope it doesn't get d best of u
Deletecauser of good things and bad things ,at least i dont have to waste money calling my friends and family ,i can skype ,whatsup,bb,yahoo messenger ,fb messenger ,viber ,so on and on
ReplyDeleteIs this a poem or what?
ReplyDeleteThe guy might be making sense but his mode of delivery turns me off.
Meanwhile, change they say is the only constant thing in life so technology has come to stay. Those who value their relationships will still find a way to strike a balance between the illusionary world of technology and reality.
Betty.
True tho.... u hv spoken well #Lobeth#
DeleteI quiet agree with ur write up without listening to the video. I just recently made a vow to reduce my fb activity and go back to reading.
ReplyDeleteOh Jeez!! Emotions welled up inside me just listening/watching the above video. I've often discussed with some of my friends that while technology has its advantages, it's fast taking the place of human connection. You go to an event, say five total strangers seated at the table, after the initial salutations, the next thing is everyone takes out their phone & start chatting; some might not even be doing anything interesting on that phone. The only person who is the exception at this table is that one whose phone isn't the latest or can't use it to chat. But again, in Nigeria, we live in times where almost everyone is careful about making new friends or ladies think every guy that says 'hello' just wants to toast or get in her pants or guys that assume that an outspoken & forward going girl is morally loose. Bottom line, it's time we looked up from our phones, laptops, ipads etc & see the beauty of life right before us.

So true!
ReplyDeleteSo so true, i am guilty. No body can take my phone and laptop away from MOI. I am not ready to repent.:)
ReplyDeleteThis is so true.. I have had these same thoughts myself. Was sitting in a family gathering n instead of laughing, talking n catching up, we were all hooked to our blackberries. I had looked up @ that moment n had d thought; social media isn't all its cut out to be, we are missing moments. Living in our devices n being ruled by then instead of living our actual lives... its too bad.
ReplyDeletehmmmn......This digital world where we are heard but not seen, that neighbour u don't show love to or that friend u despise is more important than the one u call family on SDK
ReplyDeleteThat bf/gf that ignores u by burying his/her head on their device when u truly need their attention is not worth having u
It made the world smaller but created a wide gab within our immediate environment. It's like an irony, brought us close yet we are isolated. e.g in a meeting of friends or family, after the first HIs and HELLOs everyone grabs their gadgets to know what's happening in Australia or Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteHe made valid points. And I agree with him to an extent. Technology still had it's many advantage though.
ReplyDeleteSoooo True
