Tambuwal Arrested For Questioning On The Orders Of The Inspector General Of Police.

The Inspector General of Police, Abba Sulaiman has order the immediate arrest of Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
Daily Trust reports that a similar order has been handed down to the Department of State Security (DSS).

This is coming barely 24 after the members of the House of Representatives were clashed with some security personnel at the National Assembly complex on Thursday.

Sources at the Police headquarters revealed that the Police chief gave the order for Tambuwal arrest after a meeting with Vice President Namadi Sambo and the National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki.

“I can confirm to you that the order for his arrest has been given today (Friday). The signal from the IG’s office specifically directed the FCT and Sokoto State commissioners of Police to serve Tambuwal with notice of invitation to the force headquarters and if he resists, he should be arrested immediately,” the source revealed.

“The involvement of the Sokoto CP was because the Speaker was sighted in Sokoto on Friday where he picked the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship form for the coming elections. It was assumed that he was out of Abuja as such other police divisions were involved in the matter.”

Sources at the meeting in the Villa indicate that both the Vice President and the NSA chastised the Police boss for the failure of his men to prevent Speaker from entering the National Assembly premises.

“The NSA was particularly angry and told the IG in clear terms that he doesn’t know his job. He said how did the Speaker and the members break a cordon organised by the FCT Police commissioner. The NSA then made it clear that the Police authorities must rectify the anomalies or they will face the consequences. The IG then said Tambuwal will be arrested for questioning.”Dailypostng reportage

    1. Please pardon me and my intuition on this; POLITICS/POLITICAL PARTIES is the genesis and revelation of Nigeria's enigmatic conundrum. Until we have one political party, Nigeria will never know peace. (I apologize again, but it's the truth). No amount of prayers will ever put this boisterous unruly rightly, except you wanna invite Jesus down from heaven.

  2. What kinda democracy is this? Undoubtedly "DEMONCraZy" ..... GEJ and his cohorts are busy polarising the nation. and people still believe in him and his government. Chai! Anyway, his supporters should please vote him in o.... make sure he wins. I'd love to have a good laugh at your expense in 2016 or 2017 when you start buying fuel at 250 per litre or having bh testing new grounds aside the north, seeing they have gone unchecked for so long.

    1. And I figure you've got no extended family members or friends living in Nigeria. You're a heartless individual. Remember people died in the London 7/7 blast & American 9/11. I'm only reminding so you know that you can't there's really no safe place in the world.

    2. @ Flakkie Chris, this is a selfish statement to make. I guess you're Zimbabwean that's why you feel it doesn't affect you in anyway. I hope all your family members and friends live abroad.

    3. @ Flakkie Chris, you live in Port Novo & you feel if Nigeria boils, you won't be affected? Are you a blondie? So you don't realise that an upset in Nigeria will affect the whole West African region? You're very silly for your inhuman statement. It is your family house that will be used as testing grounds for bh.

I live in porto novo half the time cos it's a breathe of fresh air away from Lagos wahala.
People have been warning on the ills of this man's government for years.... Yet if Aunty Stell's posts anything on him, you still find YOUTHS commenting "GEJ till 2019"...... My comment was directed to people like that. If you have been to INEC offices of recent, you'll know what's about to go down. It's easy to say "gej till 2019" when you're not living in the north. If GEJ wins again, every region will most likely feel the heat. Sapele people will say, "dem no dey sorry for pesn wey no sorry for himself"

I am so glad some one aside me thinks right. Because when I read comments, them I understand why Nigeria is the way it is. So many politicians moved from APC to PDP and it wasnt a big deal. It made headlines and life went out like nothing happened. Nobody was asked to leave their political appointment but then someone moves from PDP to APC and they bully the person out of power? PDP go as far as clearing any charges against you if you defect to their party taking ffk as an example.

I am just going to watch how all these will play out seriously. I will watch and see Nigerians after the elections. Shebi dollar is now 184? Even Ghana Cedis is almost equal to dollar and we are giants of Africa. Everyday there value of naira keeps dropping like 169 wasn't bad enough before. What was sanusi doing right that stabilised naira when he was there?

The kind of poverty that nigeria is about to sink into,y'all wouldn't believe what's coning your way
      GEJ voltrons,on your mack,get set ......

    2. Dear Fab mum,
It's sentimental comments like yours that gives these useless politicians the impetus to be as lawless as they are.
Inasmuch as PDP has its own flaws and all, have you read the constitutional provisions given for defection from one party to another? Most of the so called APC members that decamped to PDP were originally CPC,ANPP or ACN members. In case you don't know, it is allowed to decamp to another party IF your original party no longer exists in the case of the above parties regardless of the fact that they have all come together to form a new party. Reps elected on the platform of CPC, for example, have the legitimate right to move to PDP because they were not voted for on the platform of APC. But for the PDP people moving to APC, their cases are more diverse because you have to prove in a competent court of law that PDP doesn't exist anymore or that there is a factional problem that exist in the party.

Just in case you are not aware,
Amaechi, the new poster boy for APC set the precedence by going to the supreme Court to prove that it is the party and NOT the individual that was elected. So why don't they like it when it doesn't go in their favour?

As for Tambuwal, the thing him dey find him go soon see am. How on earth does he still consider himself as speaker of the house when:
      1. He decamped outside the constitutional provision given for such. Hope you know that "overwhelming invitation from the opposition " is not provided for in your constitution?
      2. He has picked up nomination forms for elective position. Are you also not aware that he is supposed to resign his position before he contests an election?

Forgive my epistle, but we the onlookers need to drop sentiments and be factual. That way. We won't get fucked up again. Because these politicians know our weakness is sentimentalism so they use it to their advantage. (I'm not a PDP fan o, but sometimes we need to be honest with ourselves)

From Tambuwal to the spidermen lawmakers, na their belle dem dey find. So I'd advise everyone to do the same.... Lol.

      God bless Nigeria.

    3. Can you please educate us a little more by citing the relevant section(s) of the constitution that makes it legal for people to decamp to the PDP and still retain the mandate a la Mimiko and illegal to decamp from the PDP.to other parties.

Amechi went to court to prove his case and not through some extra judicial and executive recklessness that is capable of throwing the nation into chaos as being embarked on by the PDP.

If Tambuwaal has indeed flouted the constitution there should be constitutional means and provisions for his removal instead of these underhand and disgraceful tactics.

    5. Anon10:47am i typed similar view on the on earlier post. You cannot have a divided leadership, the masses will be at the receiving end. The major parties vying for elective post are the same, no difference in their style of governance. APC has nothing to offer as a formidable opposition. Since the emergence of the party all they do is cry wolf at every given opportunity. The party should counter all the inactivities of the ruling party with a think thank manifesto capable of marshalling this country to greater heights. ALL i have seen from them is pettiness and nagging like a troublesome wife. APC where is your MANIFESTO, TELL NIGERIANS WHAT YOU INTEND DOING WHEN YOU GRAB POWER.

The same thing they tried with Amaechi, the same they want to do with Tambuwal. When the Police turn to houseboys of the Executive, we are all in trouble.

PDP is becoming like a cult, leaving is at risk to your life.
