APC Replies Presidency - Says Chamberlain Resigned As British PM During World War II

Read HERE the Presidency’s reaction to the demand by the APC leadership, including its National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, that President Goodluck Jonathan should resign due to the on-going war the members of the Boko Haram are waging on Nigeria, saying Jonathan is incompetent.

The presidency replied saying that President Jonathan would not reply because of boko haram and that there is no part of the world where the President resigns during an ongoing war. It therefore challenged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress to tell Nigerians where such has ever happened.
The APC has replied with proof......

Read their response.....

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said the presidency needs a refresher course in history if it is not aware that a leader has had cause to resign in the course of a war being fought by his country in order to change the course of the war.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party reminded the presidency that Neville Chamberlain resigned as British Prime Minister on May 10th 1940 after Adolf Hitler forced the allies to retreat from Norway.
”According to available information, Chamberlain led Britain through the first eight months of World War II but had to resign after the Allies were forced to retreat from Norway, because of his belief that a government supported by all parties was essential for the unity needed to defeat Adolf Hitler. The resignation paved the way for Winston Churchill who later became the hero of the War,” it said.

APC therefore said the call by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on President Goodluck Jonathan to resign in view of the widespread insecurity in the land and the fact that some parts of Nigeria are now under occupation by terrorists is neither extraordinary nor unprecedented.

”The call by one of our leaders is about taking responsibility. President Jonathan is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If under his watch Nigerian territories are being annexed progressively by insurgents, and all that he has demonstrated so far is sheer cluelessness and incompetence, it is time for him to take responsibility and quit in the national interest, to pave the way for a leader who can lead the country to victory,” the party said.
It said all the blame game and name calling by the presidency, targeted at the opposition, constitute a mere distraction.
”The presidency is right to say that when terrorists attacked the US in September 2001, the leaders of the Democratic Party did not demand a resignation of President George Bush but rather they rose in defence of the American nation to support the various measures taken by the President to defeat the Al-Qaeda terrorists.

”What the presidency forgot to say, however, is that Americans would not have rallied behind then President Bush if he had been photographed snuggling with any sponsor of Al-Qaeda as President Jonathan did with one of the alleged sponsors of Boko Haram in Chad. Americans would not have rallied behind Bush if 9-11 had occurred not just once but twice or thrice, because it would have shown that the President is simply incompetent to lead.

”President Jonathan watched helplessly as Boko Haram moved from Sambisa Forest to take over a large chunk of territory in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states and proclaim a Caliphate. President Jonathan watched helplessly as Boko Haram abducted and took away almost 300 girls, holding most of them for over 200 days….still counting. His Administration is even mocking and harassing those who are campaigning for the release of the girls. No people in the world will give such a leader unconditional support.

”Therefore, even if no leader in history has ever resigned during war (even though we have now proved that is not correct), nothing prevents President Jonathan from becoming the first leader to do so. After all, never in the history of any nation has incompetence and cluelessness been exhibited by any leader, as President Jonathan has done, when the country is at war,” APC said.

Hopefully we will get a 'robust' reply from the Presidency tomorrow!

  6. The funny thing is that nobody has Nigeria at heart. All this talk is about money and ego..

Words can never describe what I think about Goodluck Jonathan. Well we nigerians put ourselves in this position when we voted him in for bearing "good luck". PS: I did not vote. Nice man is Not equal to Great leader. A nice man will give money to people whose children were kidnapped as compensation, a great leader will find those who committed the crime and make sure no other family suffers such a loss.

  7. I said it!! You guys intentionally trained those hoodlums to terrorized and waste blood in the country thinking that people will make a million match asking him to resign. It will not work. The earlier you realized that God put him there, the better. Even though, they ve made things difficult for him, all the energy he would ve used into productivity, he is using it to fight BOKO so as to appear he is clueless. God is watching us all in 3D

  18. Ignorance is no excuse. This is an incompetent regime, don't care if PDP or APC sits at the helm they are all one and the same. Fact is this country is the worst it has been since i got to understand the meaning of the term standard of living. Most Nigerians survive on a standard of living which is below par. Things were bad yes but now they are "oh my God" even Abuja who's residents didn't know what it meant to not have electricity now know what it means to have generator as opposed to electricity. Time will come when the same people who ask for Jonathan to stay on will beg that he leaves. Y'all who keep on playing the ethnic/tribal/zonal/religious bigotry card rather than focusing on the real issues let the non Northerners non Muslims stay in power by all means but please put someone there who can deal with the issues plaguing the country. Nigeria is in serious trouble and the government has no solutions they cannot protect their citizens instead focus on corruption and enrichment so when the time comes the sad lot who so blindly support them will be left to face the consequences of their choices whilst these people jet off into the sunset and safety far away from the destruction and terror of BH so get your documents travel ready people until then May God help us all.

  19. APC THIS ,PDP THAT who is suffering this WAR ? The masses. Due to our multi tribal and religious differences CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM is either being viewed from one's religious or tribal perspective and it is very WRONG.
In developed countries GEJ WILL HAVE A LOT QUESTIONS TO ANSWER COZ THE MASSES OVER THERE HAS NO ROOM/PATIENT FOR A FAILURE. USA midterm election speaks for itself.. For crying out loud he is COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF OF THE ARMED FORCES. Now that he is seeking for second term and the country's situation is like this , I wonder what it will be like when another four year mandate is secured by him? GEJ WILL MOVE HIS SLEEPING GEAR TO GEAR 5. This country is falling apart and PRAYERS ALONE CAN NEVER I REPEAT NEVER BRING THE NEEDED CHANGE UNLESS BACKED WE THE MUCH NEEDED ACTIONS!!!. If we are ready to tell ourselves the truth and put this religion and tribal sentiments apart, WE ALL KNOW GEJ CANNOT AND CLEARLY WILL NOT BRING NIGERIA OUT OF THIS SECURITY AND OTHER NATIONAL CHALLENGES NIGERIA HAS. Another four years of innocent blood on his hands and conscience because HE IS NOT READY TO TAKE THE BULL BY HORN. Lives are being wasted, have we imagined what it will be like after the mandate is given to him GOD FORBID WE START HEARING BOMB EXPLOSIONS HERE AND THERE DOWN HERE IN EAST???? Pls GOD PILOT AND DIRECT NIGERIA.

  23. at a time when our country needs some serious show of unity to address a HUGE problem, they're still posturing and slicing and dividing Nigerians along partisan lines.

never have i seen such a show of disunity at a time of national crisis. when al qaeda attacks in the UK or America all political parties stand as one. they forget partisan differences for a moment in honour of the dead and grieving and jointly declare that no innocent blood spilled would be spilled in vain ; that none of them supports the mindless killing and they would do everything to bring perpetrators to book

over here APC is so excited whenever Boko Haram commits atrocities because its another opportunity to bash the president (and/or his wife if its rotimi amaechi talking).

    na wa sef!!!

NOT IMPRESSIVE AT ALL (shaking my head in utter disgust)!!

  24. Jonathan is clueless period! At least all APC governors I know r performing. During the last election I know how much PDP have to corpers, I was a corper then, during d registration time they went around and gave corpers 10 K each

During the election itself I am ashamed to say I am part of those who rigged election for PDP not because I wanted to but we had no choice. My Polling Officer liked money so much he agreed to sell ballot papers, even if we didn't want to sell they would have taken it by force cos they threatened to burn us if we didn't co-oporate, I got sacred cos I saw how angry they were. In fairness Jonathan wouldn't have won that election but PDP spent money in the north. During that presidential election we got close to 120k and 5K for recharge cards, but as u know d money is cursed cos I can't remember using that miney to do anything tangible. Even the representatives from other parties aided the rigging process, we all did the voting ourselves, I wonder what their party would do to them if they discovered such betrayal. Anytime I remember I always regret it. I hope they don't use corpers next year, cos corpers are motivated by money and PDP has lots of it to spare. God help us.
