Happy Independence to you Nigeria....isnt it a miracle that you are still standing tall

Stand firm, you will come out of this storm in one piece!

''.....Nigeria is 54....

the odds we did survive..
Arise salute the Nation

*Who knows this song?I love it!!

BLOG VISITOR MESSAGE.

."A land so fertile - if you throw a grain by the road side, you may reap a cob.

A nation so blessed - its resources till date remains countless and inexhaustible.

A place so favoured - excellent climate and absence of nature's fury and disasters.

A country so wealthy - even after milking it of its Billions, it's still standing strong;

NIGERIA: God's Own 'African' Country - The 'Trigger' of the continent.
I may detest its looters but I love its builders - I may sometimes be ashamed of its leadership but I am proud of its people! Congratulations Nigerians-Congratulations Nigeria!
Rejoice at this Independence 'cos someday soon, the#RealNigerians shall be #‎FreeIndeed!"

  7. Happy Independence Nigeria. My country of birth, one does not decide where to be born but may decide where to die and be buried. Am proud to be a Nigerian. Our collective effort in fighting and eradicating Ebola truly shows Nigeria as the giant of Africa and brother to other African Nations. Ebola was killing people in other African countries and was not given much publicity but the moment it entered Nigeria, the whole world started shaking. I believe OGA Jona knows what he is doing in the issue of book haram, he is playing politics with it, let's wait after his re-election and watch him crush terrorism in Nigeria

  16. Wow! How time flies. I remember d song wella. Bongos Ikwe sang it when Nigeria was 25.

I so much liked the song then. Just got the full lyrics online now.

    "Nigeria is 25,
    The odd we deed survive,
    arise salute the nation,
    come join the celebration,
The people united will never fall
the sun will shine and the rain will fall ,
on our land, vast and mighty,
richly blessed by the o Almighty ,
Like the bees in the haven
    Who works so hard
    to make her honey  flow
and not without the use of a hole.
    Arise salute the nation
    come join the celebration,
    Nigeria is 25
    Nigeria is 25".

Happy Independence Nigeria. May God heal our land. Amen. One love.

    Yes Nigeria is 54 today!
We have been together for this long
And tested all the good and bad of this nation.
Shortcomings are there, But all what we have to say is "Thank You Lord for this day again".
    And let life move on!
Nothing like the sights and smell of barbecue on the grill,
The fireworks glowing into the sky,
And the Nigerian flag waving everywhere around the world!
To all of you who love freedom, Have a Happy independence day!
Lets enjoy the spectacular display of fireworks!
Set to the sounds of music.
And Remember; This is the day we as a nation decleared ourselves free.
As today goes by, I will like to remind every citizen of this great nation, that what is holding us together is greater than what is trying to divide us.
    God Bless Nigeria!

  42. Nigeria a land I can never leave for another
Nigeria a land I grew in and I've come love
Nigeria a land that prospered my ancestors and has illuminated my existence
Nigeria a land that gives you hardship and expect success from you,
Nigeria a land filled with milk that's drank by the people in high places ,and its honey being taken offshore like the era of slavery
Nigeria despite the ups and downs dnt I just love the smile on people's faces....as the smile of a child excites the mother,,so is nigeria to us that believe in it...
I love my country not because I was born, nursed and raised here but it's becus it hs never forsaken me,only if am being faithful to her(nigeria). Happy independence day....#

  51. If only the recidivists in power can stop and focus on the common good. If only the spirit of patriotism can churn our flesh and make us united,if only we can see how much God has blessed us...
