Stella takes criticism well (in my own sapele opinion oo). People must talk, she has never said she was a "fashionista" as a matter of fact she says the opposite most times. I really don't see anything wrong in the way she dressed. I've seen people dress that way before and nobody closed the streets and refused to allow them pass. I'm quite sure the designer that made that apparel didn't make it for only one person (if he/she did, I don't know). Somewhere in the world, another person might own the same apparel and people won't complain.

So to show everyone that she takes well to criticism (I just criticised her nose) should she file or chisel her nose? And should I be closing my eyes and be walking around? Certainly NOT.

@ Princess R. Sorry about your friend's loss. There are 3 aspect to check:
ReplyDelete1. Medically is something wrong. Giving her history she need to be closely monitored during pregnancy. Ultrasound every other week begining from the 2nd trimester and seeing her doc a week after the ultrasound for review n check-up.
2. Spiritually - Sad but true, your friend might know why this is happening but decide to keep everyone in the dark. Prayer is the key.
3. External forces which might be spiritual also. May God deliver us all.

However, it's ok to criticise an outfit or a hairdo, provided you do it politely. A lot of people aren't honest, they'll tell you what you want to hear but not how they really feel.
ReplyDeleteStells, you call out people who wear the wrong outfits or hairdos too, it's only normal. Whether we admit it or not, we are hard wired to judge people by what they wear. Didn't you also comment about people wearing cheap wristwatches? That was low, even if you were kidding. It was a big event for you and some of us were really looking forward to seeing you all glamed up. Remember you even asked blog visitors to suggest what you should wear, that didn't mean you were trying to please everyone. It means you wanted our suggestions. It's only normal that the same blog visitors would tell you how we felt about your outfit, some people liked it while others didn't. We aren't trying to put you down, why on earth would we? We are only being honest, no offence meant.
