Anambra state governor,Chief Willie Obiano yesterday signed the contract for the modernisation and digitisation of the Anambra Broadcasting Service.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the state Chief Executive said the contract signing ceremony was in fulfilment of his promise to Ndi Anambra to deliver a brand new broadcast organisation complete with modern equipments.

"We are happy and excited to be signing this contract today. ABS is an important state institution, we have confidence that the contractor COMFAX having gone through a rigorous tendering process will deliver according to the terms".

In his own address, the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Chief Tony Onyima said that the contract signing was the first phase in the transformation of ABS, "The state government is also committed to building a brand new broadcast complex that will house the new equipments". An elated Uche Nworah, Managing Director/CEO of Anambra Broadcasting Servicing said the management and staff of ABS are grateful to the Willie Obiano government for the various efforts aimed at repositioning the organisation.
