Customs And Checking Of Luggage At The Airport...LOL

This is a true story as recounted to me by my flight attendant friend who works on the international route.

We all know how Custom officials like to ransack peoples luggage at the arrival wing of the international airport on arrival in Lagos.
I have been a victim severally, sometimes I get my way and they let me pass but sometimes they get theirs and I open my luggage for them to 'see' what I am bringing in.

Well according to my friend, they recently got more than they bargained for when they stopped a lady carrying plenty luggage.

The lady was pulled aside and they demanded to check her bags. She was taken to the side and they began questioning her asking what she had in her bags.
She told them she had mostly personal stuff

The customs told her ''Personal stuff? Please open your bags and lets see..''

She told them ''Most of my luggage is full of Medical books.I am a LIBRARIAN and...''

They took to their heels thinking she said ''I am a LIBERIAN..''

LOL.

    1. Liar! Customs won't stealfrom you no matter what. It's the airliners that steal. Some people mix up the airport workers thinking everybody checking bags are customs.
Those wearing grey uniforms is custom
      Those wearing brown are NDLEA.
Those wearing green on black are Quarantine officers and they ve no right to search your bag cos they are to check life animals.
Those wearing white apron are NAFDAC.
Those without uniform are SSS and touts,,,,, lol.

    Veerryyy mean
On my way back from Summer Last year dey told me dey needed to see my stuff wen i told dem dey were just personal items
Dey just clustered like bees to honey and I handed dem ma keys
D first Box dey opened just had Footwears in it and dey asked and I said it was for my sisters
And dey asked me " Madam, how many sisters do u have?
Dey proceeded in opening d remaining 5 boxes,bu den plenty of dem Had gathered and dey were chanting n almost Dancing wit dis Evil glint in deir eyes 'Dis Madam has plenty sisters and brothers o"
Of course na,dey named deir price...money changed hands...and even at dat dey were saying it was small and den i casually let it drop dat i was calling "Someone"
Dat was how dey reluctantly let me go...

Buh some can be nice too...wen dey want to...i gave one a loaf of Bread sometime and she was Soo happy.

  31. If you want to escape customs officials' ransacking of your bags, then I advise you to do what I usually do. Have a luggage/bag full of books if you are a student. On reaching their checking area and you are stopped by them, open only that bag for them to see. It is either they tell you to close it and go with other luggage or they ask you if your remaining luggage are the same. Very simple.

Claiming all sorts of stories till we showed them we were ready for them after that customs dey find settlement, ransacking my luggage, I was so pissed, when they saw I didn't cooperate, they freeed me sharply
