    4. @anon 10:27, ashes can't b used in d case of Ebola. Ebola is not a germ, we are talking about a Virus so get a grip of urself ok? Even washing of hands wit sanitizers s just precautionary measures cos other parts of d body can still come in contact wit an infected person's body fluids. God help us.

    5. Ritty or whatever you local name is.. unicef advises that in place of soap you can use ashes. Ever used ashes to wash the back of a pot? Seen how clean it becomes? Not everyone can afford soap. Washing of hands with sanitizers? Sanitizer is now used for wash ing hands? Get enlightened please

  24. There was an advert on TV long time ago telling people to wash hands with soaps or ashes guess that's what she's still following. Well, that's her opinion and I don't see why you all insulting her should. Why would I want to use ashes when I can afford soap though?

  26. Most of you here are always so quick to hurl insults at people,Toyin is actually right, is boldly written on posters that is being paste in most places by Fed min of health, u can use ashes to wash ur hand. It will actually do a lot good for most of the ignorant and olodo people here to actually read the facts about Ebola rather than using salt to have their bath and insulting people.

  27. @Funmi Reese,wetin u go find for desert???!!!

  28. Sanitizers cant protect you from ebola. I am a medical biochemist before you people start attacking me. Sanitizers have no effect on viruses. viruses are complex organisms because they can act as living and non living organisms at the same time. Save your money. my two cents!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Pls tell them o0! I sd it b4 that even sanitizers are just precautitionary measures and I guess we should bath wit it self cos if u wash ur hand but ur body touches an infected person's sweat, what can we make of this??? My two cents!

  31. She is right ashes perform the same function as soap aka cleansing so maybe she was reaching out to those who cannot afford soap. In the village they would wash pots with ashes. Hibiscus leave leaves oh the green ones not flower that is used in making zobo is also a natural soap and produces suds just like manufactured soap

    ReplyDelete
  32. Federal ministry of health says one can use ashes to wash their hands when soap is unavailable. Google is your friend.

  33. Before u people kill her with insult, google is ur friend,u can actually check it out before cussing her out.

  34. Stella, Toyin is correct about using ashes to wash hands. Ashes, mud, soap are rubbing agents and are more effective than using water alone to wash hands. Please spread the word. There are communities where people don't have soap to spare for hand washing. See link http://www.wsp.org/Hygiene-Sanitation-Water-Toolkit/BasicPrinciples/HandwashingFacilities.html
