TEARS OF JOY - 50+ And Pregnant For The First Time... Blog Visitor Narrative.

My aunt Mrs. Ijeoma lives in Lagos and has been married for years without a child. When you talk about humility, kindness, love and all the good things of life you are talking about this woman.

Her husband Joseph has been supportive, kind, loving and he never thought of getting another wife even when his late mum did all she could to frustrate aunty Ije,he did not stop loving this woman.

Each time my family travels to the UK for holiday, she makes all the available arrangement we need to do in Lagos for us and even stays with us at the airport before we check in.

What about when we are coming back to 9ja, she still leaves whatever she's doing to receive us,arrange cab and hotel for us.She's just more than humble.

Everytime she tells me Stanley, I want a miracle from God and I just tell her that God will surely do it. Wetin I sabi say I go tell am again?...lol.

Just last night while I was eating with my mum, she told me that Aunty Ije would be coming down to Asaba to stay with us and I asked if she had finally gotten the government job mum was helping her with but mum no answer again.

And then her answer was 'erm erm erm Ok, don't tell anyone for now, Aunty Ije is pregnant''

I screamed and e remain small make pepper enter my head ooo...lol...

SDKers since last night I have been smiling, Joy full my belle. Aunty Ije is over 50years of age!!!
My Aunty and her hubby are expecting their 1st child and I have decided to bring this news to this great house (SDK blog).

I declare that the God that made this possible for Aunty Ije will bless you today, all you married women who cry everyday for children, all those women that have been having problems with their husband's family over child bearing, YOU SHALL CRY NO MORE.

Before the year runs out, your belle go come out...you go notice small change for your body...if you go hospital doctor go tell u say 'MADAM', you go answer 'YES DOCTOR', doctor go say 'YOU ARE PREGNANT', and you go tell doctor say 'DOCTOR IT'S A LIE'....hehehheeeee.... Then maybe you go come faint small...then when you don wake up, you go come shed 'TEARS OF JOY'.

Abeg make una follow me rejoice for this great news wey enter my family. God bless una....

*May God see her through the nine months journey she has embarked upon.
Sorry Stanley I took out her last name and her hubby's for obvious reasons.

    3. At anonymous 2:23 can you please do the surgery...you will be surprised you will take easily after it...besides most of these drugs said to shrink Fibroids contains hormonal components that have negative side effects and can lead to shrinking of ya ovaries too...at least myomectomy won't tamper with ya ovaries

      One love yall

    6. Annon 2:23 you don't need to be afraid, do d surgery. My sister in law was also in your shoe. After d fibroid was removed, she is blessed with two boys now. Go for it and believe God

    7. Hmmm
      God of Adeboye ke?????
Congrats to the mum to be

    8. Anon 2.23pm,Remove the fibroid surgically! Don't go taking herbs that have no dosage, and you ve no idea if there's Rodent pee or Dog poop in it. You could damage vital organs like your kidney and liver, plus the womb sef. Myomectomy is no biggie! You are put out, when you come to,you re free.off you go now!

    9. Oh yes God of adeboye, the one who annoyed him for great works.... Some people call on God but not the true and living God so she is just emphasising that adeboye,s God is the living God.... My dear just trust God and remove the fibroids u can conceive again....am 43 and pregnant with twins after 3 miscarriages....I had to do a fibroid surgery after the first miscarriage cos the fibroid was growing and competing with the baby.... U can get pregnant with fibroids depending on the location but if the docs have said remove it that means it's not good....however if u have a definite word from God regarding healing u can just keep praying cos God has done it before and still in the business of miracles....but pls be sure u heard from God oh no be say u just dey do follow follow....... It is well

      Delete
    10. Anonymous 2.23 please go ahead n do the surgery. The Lord is your Shepard. Take the fibroid out n give your womb the chance to conceive. My sister in law in her 40s did the surgery in feb n she took in this April. Just 2 months after the surgery after trying for over 3 years. Trust God

    12. I hardly comment on this blog even though I read it daily. I had to because of what you wrote. Please DONT ever touch that fibroid. You will only complicate your issues. Manage the pain. You CAN get pregnant with fibroid. All you need to do is to make sure that you get adequate and consistent medical care while pregnant to ensure that the fibroid does not "displace" the baby. I can tell you that a lot of women that have infertility issues in Nigeria have a history of having had fibroid operations. I dont know what those Nigerian Doctors do in the name of Fibroid surgeries. From personal experience, I know someone who has fibroids and her Doctor advised her not to do anything to it (she got this advice from a Doctor in a developed country), she got pregnant last year and has a baby now and guess what? The fibroid has shrunk. Be prayerful, be happy, don't bother yourself with rumors about what your husband is doing or not doing, enjoy your sex life with your husband. The God that did it for my sister will surely do it for you.

    13. Congrats dear. God bless and keep the baby.

    14. Anon2:23, heaven helps those who help themselves. Go for a surgery to remove the fibroid. Every other thing will fall into place in Jesus name, Amen!

    15. My doctor actually told me I can conceive even without surgery, but I just don't what to take that will help.i have done hsg and my womb is fine and the fibroid is outside the womb and not inside.i was using clomid but my doctor advice me 2 stop dat it will only increase d growth of the fibroid.thanks everyone 4 responding 2 me.i appreciate u all and thanks Stella God bless u so much.

    16. When I was pregnant with my 1st child and I went for a scan at 12 weeks, the doctor said I had two fibroids....can't remember the measurements but he said it was small and I should not worry. Of course I was worried. All the scans I have done, they always mention the fibroid. I have two lovely boys.

    1. Wow! Such a rare miracle! Stella, maybe u should consider d possibility that he didn't use their real names
By d way poster, couldn't u hav waited til u saw the pregnancy wt ur two eyes before sharing ds testimony? Why I ask is because ur aunt may b planning an adoption and decided to stay away frm her neighbours for som time. I remember wen one of my aunties adopted a baby, my cousin living wt her came and told us aunty has put to bed. If not that we re close family members, we wouldn't hav known. U shouldnt expect ur mum to blab out d whole arrangement immediately. I believ in God of miracles and anyth is possible wt him, but confirm certain thns first before u start broadcasting, esp wen u kno she's 50+

      Delete
    2. Ple stay away not only cos they want to adopt.... 50 is not too old and we have countless testimonies of that age having babies....I believe her mum is not stupid and should know if her sisters arrangement was adoption or not....after all the mum has seen her....

  35. @Stella dimoko korus: I read your blog and encourage others to do so for 2 reasons: you're mindful of God and humanity and you are a journalist. I am not a journalist but I could fit into the first one. So I'm not qualified at all to even make suggestions concerning your blog posts.

What does one doe when folks turn a blog post into avenues of self advertising and use of GUTTER AND CORRUPT LANGUAGES? Could there be a post where such folks are warned; like their "vulgar languages are extracted and displayed" and they are warned such that others will learn the kind of languages that are not tolerated. Please if it is not necessary, do not mind my post. Thanks.

I am asking politely. Some of us intellectual individuals still want to be able to read your blog without cringing at the type of gutter language used in the comment section. Can we have intelligent discussions? Agree to disagree without curse words and foul language? I know you can't control who visits your blog and what kind of comments they write but can you at least censor some of the comments?
Dear fellow blog visitors, can we disagree without using gutter language? Thank you for your cooperation.

I know it is the best to have your own but adoption is not that bad. Please if after 10 years and no child, keep praying and trying but also try adopting,it takes immense pressure off.A mother is not just someone who births a child,a mother is woman who raises a child to become a responsible citizen of society. Please adoption is not a sin or a curse and you I'll be surprised how fast you'll get yours after that. All glory be to God for this woman and may her joy be unending from now.

  85. Did she ask you to publicize her business ??? Why can't you respect her privacy and let her deliver in peace before publicizing her pregnancy. Pregnancy at any age is a sensitive journey not to talk about pregnancy at 50. I am so disappointed you can do this to your aunt, you immature human being. This may not be her first time being pregnant because many childless couples experience pregnancy but don't carry to term and so no one knows. I pray this gentle woman is able to carry to term and deliver a healthy baby against the prying eyes of evil forces and ignorant ppl like yourself!
