PUZZLE TIME.

The 'obvious' answer is to add the four cross numbers, divide by 10, and round to the nearest whole number. In that case, the missing number is
(23+20+12+3)/10 = 5.8 ~ 6 (B) But that doesn't explain the set up - why the crosses? Are the positions of the numbers in the cross significant?

I will post what i think is the answer at the end of the day but then i might be wrong.....LOL.

Good luck with solving and please show how you arrived at your answer oh...lol

  21. After staring and staring at this annoyingly simple puzzle, this is what I got.

    1. 12 x 6 = 72 and 9 x 5 = 45. 72 - 45 = 27. The cube root (raised to power (1/3) of 27 is 3 (i.e. 3 x 3 x 3 = 27).

    2. 10 x 10 = 100 and 2 x 18 = 36. 100 - 36 = 64. Cube root = 4

    3. cube root of{(23 x 12) - (20 x 3)} = xyz.

This too na jamb question. Kermit says "go figure"...

  25. This is
    what I got.
    1. 12 x 6 = 72 and 9 x 5 = 45. 72
    - 45 = 27. The cube root (raised
    to power (1/3) of 27 is 3 (i.e. 3 x
    3 x 3 = 27).
    2. 10 x 10 = 100 and 2 x 18 = 36.
    100 - 36 = 64. Cube root = 4
    3. cube root of{(23 x 12=276) - (20 x
3=60)} which is equal to 216. cube root of 216= 6. Therefore the answer is six.
