The 'obvious' answer is to add the four cross numbers, divide by 10, and round to the nearest whole number. In that case, the missing number is
(23+20+12+3)/10 = 5.8 ~ 6 (B) But that doesn't explain the set up - why the crosses? Are the positions of the numbers in the cross significant?
I will post what i think is the answer at the end of the day but then i might be wrong.....LOL.
Good luck with solving and please show how you arrived at your answer oh...lol

ReplyDeleteThe answer is "7"
ReplyDeletethe answer is 6 ehhh!!!!
ReplyDeleteAfter staring and staring at this annoyingly simple puzzle, this is what I got.
ReplyDelete1. 12 x 6 = 72 and 9 x 5 = 45. 72 - 45 = 27. The cube root (raised to power (1/3) of 27 is 3 (i.e. 3 x 3 x 3 = 27).
2. 10 x 10 = 100 and 2 x 18 = 36. 100 - 36 = 64. Cube root = 4
3. cube root of{(23 x 12) - (20 x 3)} = xyz.
This too na jamb question. Kermit says "go figure"...

ReplyDeleteThis is
ReplyDeletewhat I got.
1. 12 x 6 = 72 and 9 x 5 = 45. 72
- 45 = 27. The cube root (raised
to power (1/3) of 27 is 3 (i.e. 3 x
3 x 3 = 27).
2. 10 x 10 = 100 and 2 x 18 = 36.
100 - 36 = 64. Cube root = 4
3. cube root of{(23 x 12=276) - (20 x
3=60)} which is equal to 216. cube root of 216= 6. Therefore the answer is six.
My name is Ebenezer and I'm an accountant.
If its to find the answer in sequence the answer will be 6.
ReplyDeletethat is..
3 + 1 = 4
4 + 2 = 6
Ans 6.
otherwise..i dunno jare.
answer is 7!
ReplyDeleteI will try 6
ReplyDeleteMy 9year old son gave the answer as 6...
ReplyDelete12+6+5+9=32/8=4.....4-1=3
10+10+18+2=40/8=5...5-1=4
20+23+12+3=58/8=7.25 approximate to the nearest whole number=7-1=6
Wow!
DeleteI think the answer is 6. My baby won't let me type my solution. He's looking at my boobs with one kinda eyes...hehe
