The Commissioner of Police in charge of Osun State governorship election, Mr. Augustine Evbakhabokun, on Friday warned trouble makers to stay away from the state or be ready to face the full wrath of the law.
The new CP said this in Osogbo at a press conference he addressed to state the level of preparedness of the police for today’s election.
According to the CP, the policemen and other security agents deployed for the election are going to ensure that there is no violence anywhere in the state.
He confirmed that the police arrested two INEC officials with the commission’s vehicle and they were taken to the State Criminal investigation Department for interrogation.He, however said that the two officials had been cleared by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mr. Olusegun Agbaje, who confirmed that the men were on an official assignment.
