Al Makura appears before probe panel
Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nassarawa state who is facing 16 charges of gross misconduct and abuse of oath of office appeared before the probe panel set up to investigate his activities. Al-Makura vowed to challenge the violation if the impeachment process by the state house of assembly members saying that he was never served with any impeachment notice.
E-passport: NIS sends 24 officers
The Nigerian immigration service on Monday said that 24 officers were sent to various embassies abroad to ease the process of obtaining visas and e-passports. NIS Public Relations Officer Emeka Obua said that the new 64 page passport costs NGN 20,000 while those individuals under 18 years and above 60 years of age could obtain the passport for NGN 8750.

Amnesty International : Nigeria army committed atrocities
Amnesty international has accused the Nigerian army, the Civil Joint Task Force, state sponsored militia of perpetrating horrific crimes in its fight against Islamist militants from the Boko Haram sect.
The campaign group said it had seen footage obtained from multiple sources in Borno state including horrific images of detainees throats being slit and the bodies dumped in mass graves.

World bank gives $200m Ebola assistance
The world bank on Monday pledged $20 to help Guinea,Liberia and Sierra Leone to fight the deadly Ebola epidemic. This aid is intended for supplies, salaries and materials needed to stabilize health systems in the affected countries.

It was learnt that the victim was rearing cattle at Babujaye in Gumau village when the ritualists trailed his movement to a solidarity area where they attacked him.
