Samuel Eto’o has rubbished talk of a rift with Jose Mourinho as he prepares for the possibility of an Everton debut against his old boss, Sky Sports reports.
Eto’o was part of Mourinho’s Champions League-winning side at Inter Milan and came to England a year ago to rejoin the Portuguese at Chelsea.
But the pair’s relationship was questioned when Mourinho was caught on camera joking about Eto’o’s age, and the 33-year-old left Stamford Bridge in the summer before joining Everton this week.
Samuel Eto’o gave his first press conference on Wednesday as an Everton player, and explained why he chose to join the club.

The African Development Bank Group has announced a grant of $60m to Nigeria and three other West African countries to fight the outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease.
President of the bank, Donald Kaberuka, and the World Health Organisation Regional Director for Africa, Dr. Luis Sambo, on Tuesday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding sealing the $60m bank grant to strengthen West Africa’s public health systems in response to the Ebola crisis.
In a statement posted on the bank’s website on Wednesday, the AfDB said the funds, to be implemented by the WHO, would be used to help recruit and train health workers, purchase equipment and medicine, and ensure that the necessary logistics are in place at the local level to provide emergency health services to Ebola patients.

Nigerian soldiers who fled into Cameroon during fierce fighting with Boko Haram militants on Monday have returned home through Mubi, Adamawa State.
Daily Trust learnt from residents of Mubi that the troops, said to be up to 480, were seen on arrival from Maroua, most of them looking haggard and wearing tattered clothing.
They were ferried back to Nigeria by military trucks, according to witnesses.
The soldiers reportedly fled a Boko Haram attack in the border town of Gamboru when they came under superior firepower, but the Defence Headquarters in Abuja said on Monday the troops were “charging through the borders in a tactical manoeuvre”

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has identified the social media as a veritable tool for the propagation of the gospel.
Adeboye stated this just as he hit the two million followers’ mark on Facebook.
Offering words of prayers and appreciation to his Facebook fans, the RCCG spiritual leader explained that social media platforms had come handy for his evangelisation.
Adeboye, who towers higher than President Goodluck Jonathan in terms of social media following, is also the most visible Nigerian clergyman online.

Strong indications emerged on Wednesday that the military high command had started taking decisive steps against security personnel involved in acts inimical to the military tradition.
It was gathered on Wednesday that four army officers were arrested for allegedly encouraging some soldiers, who disobeyed a directive on posting to Bama, one of the areas where Nigerian troops are fighting   Boko Haram insurgents.
Mutiny is defined as a situation, in which a group of people such as sailors or soldiers refuse to obey orders and try to take control away from their superiors.
The posting was said to have affected mainly the 21 Armoured Brigade Garrison, Maiduguri in Borno State whose men were said to be on standby for redeployment to Bama.

Members of the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party have split into three factions over the conduct of the party’s governorship primary in Adamawa State.
It was learnt that each of the factions was supporting three different aspirants for the primary, which is slated for September 6 in Yola, the state capital.
While a faction was said to be rooting for the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, two other factions were said to be rooting the former Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission, Alhaji Mohammed Modibbo and the Acting Governor of the state, Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri respectively.

Ford Motor Corporation says it has not foreclosed the establishment of an automobile assembly plant in Nigeria, but insists that the conditions must be right for it to do so.
One of the conditions, according to the firm, is for the country to have a free-trade agreement with its neighbouring nations to ensure free movement and unhindered market for all locally produced vehicles and other goods within the West African region.
The President and Chief Executive Officer, Ford Motor Company (South Africa), Mr. Jeff Nemeth, who dropped the hint, said the American automaker would not risk having a vehicle assembly plant in the country unless there were ready markets for its products.

Fresh indication has emerged that terrorists are currently employing new tricks to beat security checks. Among such moves is the recruitment of physically-challenged people to carry out their dastardly acts in some parts of the country. The recruitment of these set of persons, as gathered, was to allow easy access into states like Lagos.
This came as the Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obaniko, yesterday in Lagos, described Boko Haram sect’s declaration of Gwoza town in Borno state as an Islamic caliphate, as a ‘temporary madness’ that would soon disappear, saying there would never be another republic within Nigeria.

Military sources hinted that following intelligence report on the use of people with disabilities by the Boko haram sect, screening of physically challenged persons, particular those using tricycles had begun.
The disclosure as gathered, followed the confessional statement of the physically challenged man arrested recently at the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos, with combustive substance.

-Blog visitor wife just delivered of a beautiful baby girl but he has a question to ask.....

On Wednesday last week my pregnant wife started having contractions and we ended up staying from then till Saturday morning when she delivered. We made friends with a young pregnant lady who was also due,her husband,a mature fellow, didn't show up for one day till Saturday when he breezed in and out.

Her water broke on Thursday but she didn't deliver, went for a scan and was told her sack was empty of fluids so on Saturday, the doctors induced labor, the
pain was so much that she could not push and the doctors referred her
to a nearby specialist hospital for a Cesarean section.

They called her hubby, he said he was busy and she should wait. She called him
crying and he said he could not come. This was on a Saturday! She was
so demoralized she kept weeping and could not push and her baby boy
died. I have been in mourning for her loss while rejoicing my wife's delivery. I am curious, will that woman be able to look at her husband with love again?

-I have some monies sent in by some kind hearted people to help out some blog visitors who are in need. The money is not much but I am offering it to four people.I don't know how to go about it.The lady who is widowed and pregnant with twins will be given N50k by a young actress who chooses to remain anonymous.she will get the money as soon as she sends me the evidence i asked for.

-I noticed that the blog visitor who was begging for money and said he had ulcer and has a spoilt okada stopped posting the day some people called him out for lying.I am sorry but his silence disqualifies him.I hope he is alright though.

Takecare everyone..on my way to macdonalds to eat some junk-ish

    2. Madam! Buy what you can afford! There are China baby clothes of #500.00. Buy 6 to start with. There is Shawl of #1,000. Napkin #1,000. 1 pamper #500. Spirit, cotton wool, olive oil, baby lotion, oil, and powder can be bought with #1k. Net covering, socks and cap another #1k. With #10k you can buy MOST of the things you need! When you born, peeps would dash you stuff. So how would you pay for hospital bill if you are asking for help to buy baby things now?

    3. Please o blog visitors, if you know you can't afford to take care of a baby, abeg condom of 200naira dey o
I say this cos I grew up in a poor home, life wasn't easy for me and at some point, I wished I wasn't born at all... I thank God for where I am today, struggled to see myself through school, I have been responsible for my self and often extend to my parents.

Now my point is, kids born into such situations suffer alot.. I take myself as example.

It goes beyond begging on blogs for baby shopping and birthday parties, what about school fees? Clothing? Feeding et all?

Please we can avoid all the embarrassment of begging on blogs, by insisting on condoms, atleast until things get better. ... Every Child deserves a good home.

So sad for the young mum with a still-birth. Don't know how that marriage will be hereafter. Hope she's able to forgive her husband. May God grant her double for her trouble.

Congrats BV that his wife Delivered.
About the money I'm going to say something at the risk of being insulted and termed a Beggi Beggi, since that last post where people where helped I contemplated doing this but fear didn't let me and I felt bad.
I have a coursemate who is NOT a BV( just wanted to clear that) I doubt she knows about blogs and stuff, she called me 2weeks ago when we officially resumed in tears that money is hard, she confided in me that her mum fries Akara and sells other small things and her Dad is an Airport taxi guy working for a someone, she was hoping to do little teaching(she did during the ASUU strike) but our sessions closed while primary school were on holidays. I normally help her and others when they ask, if you can help her pls do.
God is my witness o, by God's grace I'm not managing, the little I get from my parents is more than enough, I'm not doing this for me. Ok story over. Thank you in advance, lol.

  78. Interesting news, Orela dimples please I have a question for u. I am pregnant and my personal calculation and 2 previous scan shows am due 1st week of November. I relocated to another state and had 2 register with another hospital I went for a scan and d doc said am due October 11 is it possible for my EDD to fly backward? the doctor is a consultant with d teaching hospital and I heard he like recommending CS even wen u dnt need it. Aunty plz post.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The new scan may show a different EDD due to the size of the fetus. EDD is a suggestion not cast in stone. The baby's development may delay or expedite delivery.

Always work with your current doctor as he has the current status of ur pregnancy.

      So says my American idol

    2. Biko, if u know ur LMP(last menstrual period) ,calculate d EDD from it aabeg. No time for stories. Or Go to d private clinic of the head consultant /professor @ d teaching hospital. Ask around. Shine ya eyes well ooo, no carry ya baby play.

As for the lady that was in labour, why were they waiting for the husband? Was it to sign a consent form? Pls my mother God bless her, signed herself for C-Section to deliver my baby broda. Maybe the man never wanted the child before, maybe it was ritual things, who knows. I remember when I had my older daughter and the doctors kept telling this Indian man whom his wife didn't speak english to consent to a C-Section he kept saying NO that she is lazy. The doctor personally said I will sue you if this woman dies. Women, God save and help us.

    3. Anon 4:05PM, see ur mouth like I need some money to buy baby items!!! If everybody brings such trivial issues here, ds blog will be filled of beggars n ingrates. Why are u not working, since ur husbands income can't carry d family? No matter how small, why are u not doing something. And besides, people shld minimise d way they give birth to kids this days, d ecomomy is not friendly @all. A jobless sister in church jus put to bed her 7th kid last month. She had d 1st in 2005, d 2nd one 2006, d 3rd early 2007, d fourth was a twin birth in 2009, d 6th one in 2012, d one again just last month. Her husband is a gate man in d estate n she is jobless with no business, then why subject urself to all ds when u can go to one of ds local govt hospital for family planning free of charge. Some of us women don't like ourselves @all, small small on birthing kids, n ds woman can beg for Africa, whenever she is approaching anyone na beg, so so beg. D clothes she used for her 1st kid is d same clothes she has used for all her kids. Thank God for church members who are helping her now.

I wonder where you got the woods from and where you lite the fire. Don't you need some kind of tripod stand to place your pot on the fire, or you just "freestyled"? You have to be kidding!

Keeping quiet does not mean jack, maybe he has run out of data, maybe he is ill, maybe he is hurt, phone could be bad,it could be anything.

Please give him the money, if it turns out he lied, let God judge him accordingly.
