    7. When I read all this talks of suicide, I sit and wonder, is that the end? What happens when you jump off the bridge? Its eternity and that's a one way ticket to hell. Whatever you are going through can't be that bad as long as you have this gift called life! I don't even have the strength to drop the story of my life cos my joy comes from the fact that God has something big in store for me. All I do now is work hard, believe and trust him. May the Holy Spirit strengthen you. Amen

    8. Anon, sadly things are not as easy as they used to be anymore. Even the guy in the corner shop does not want to employ anyone for fear of being fined if found to employ someone without docs , am sure you understand my example. But here is what you should do , go to your council speak to a social worker, in the best interests of your kids they should be able to work something out for you or connect you to charities who will not only help with feeding and other needs but will also help with regularising your stay.

That is your best bet now, you don't want to keep looking over your shoulders each time you go to work for fear you might be caught. Try that route first. Am on maternity leave so am just managing myself but perhaps I can do a bit of shopping for you and post to your home you know like home delivery thing. Please add me up on bbm, 7C7CD8B8 and send me ur addy and your preferred items and store of choice for groceries. I am not promising the world but at least something little for the kids. God bless and please be strong. You will not only get your documents but you will also get a good job and be happy.

    17. It's not a matter of being God biko.

Mothers hustle to take care of their kids. It's been like that all over the world since time immemorial and will be like that forever. We can't all be rich. You think those women carrying pans of sand at construction sites love it? Those selling pure water under the hot sun just to turn a profit of N200 a day nko? That's what mothers do. Half of the world's mothers would have experienced a time of extreme hardship but most soldiered on. Nigerian women especially have it bad, struggling day-in-day-out to feed their kids, and sometimes, together with their useless husbands.

But these days, all we hear on this blog are threats of suicide because of temporary hardship. Diaspora women be showing off pictures on FB, while they can't feed. There comes a difficult time in everyone's life. Threatening to commit suicide is not the way out.

  16. The mind is a powerful thing, create your world in your mind and see yourself live it. I know how difficult it is to be positive in dire situations, be positive all the same. Give a helping hand to those in need, because no matter how difficult your situation, you're still better than some people, wish others well and sincerely pray for them because that is the fastest way of getting answers to your prayers and desires. Shalom BVs.

But dat will be for anoda day.. I Alredy took d otapiapia bottle to drink from den I caught a glimpse of my great grandmoda who is late nw tru d window sitting outside and singing one joyful yoruba song.. My heart melt n I couldn't bring myself to do it again cos of d damage it will do to her n my grandmoda who were d only persons I hav left den.. Despite she was hurting too from d problems she didn't lose hope but was singing joyfully.. I dropped d bottle n juz went outside n hugged her.. She didn't knw why I did it but she juz smiled n told me to join her in singing.. I sanged my out dat day n I couldn't even hide d tears streaming dwn my face.. Well, I thnk God today despite am not where I want to be yet.. Am walking towards dere.. By the special Grace of God I will be graduating nxt year with no help from any family members.. No moda, father, siblings,Aunties, uncles etc except my old grandmoda who even depends on me nw.. God is really great no matter d situation u see urself juz give thx to God n believe it is well.. Though it still pain me wen am arnd pple dat talk about their families, how dey went visiting and so on.. I knw at the end I'm going to have a beautiful story to tell...

Bad times don't come to stay, its only a phase. So whatever situation U find urselves, count it all for joy. I have learned to draw strength from biblical stories of Sarah, Abraham, Job, Joseph e.t.c. for good things comes to those who have faith in God. Lotsa love y'all.

  34. Having suicidal thoughts is the real spiritual attack. Please no matter how bad it is stay alive, stop comparing yourself with anyone, use your head and think of how to better your life, pray not just going church. Unhappiness comes from tying your perception of life to people and circumstances , stop doing that , turn to God and time tested principles for happy living.

  35. @ezewanyi do u think everyone that works don't feel suicidal from time to time . She needs a job . She needs help . She feels that way don't mean she's going to do it , nigerian mothers don't kill themselves the love of their children won't let them . Nig mothers are strong hardworking women . They re not cowards . I love my mothers they're great . I've been in worse situation than hers the thot of suicide did cross my mind but the love for my kids and God kept me going . If she hasn't harmed her kids why mine . And she went to Westfield which she's hoping for a better future not killing herself . Be strong my sis just know someone's gone thru worse than u but have come out on top . God bless.

  43. @anon 1:58pm. What happens to gathering children this holidays for holiday lesson. My neighbor does it, I tell you she collects good morning. Get up and do something. Some times, we are our own problem. What happens to baking cup cakes and going to sites or biz centres to drop some each day for sales. With your course, you are having a very big advantage this season.

  44. The way people lie in this blog just to get help is so annoying. What shall it profit you to get something that will turn to a curse for you. How dare you paint issues that does not exist. I swear you people asking for help might be better financially than the givers in this blog. The only difference between you.. Yes you and the givers in this blog is the fear of God and the spirit of giving. All of you have turned expectant mothers and single mothers. isoriat... Continue... there is God o. You seat in your office and house to compose beautiful stories. okey.

    2. Anonymous you don't have to be angry over comments because 419ers are every where, ready to feed on the naivety of kind people.

Don't be surprised that you might be better off than some people commenting here but they endure and strive to live.

I tell people that when you know your financial status, learn to live strictly within it! There are some food, clothing and events you have no business with!

Anonymous, you don't have an email account which means you refresh this post to read and comment. Where do you get the money to buy air time instead of using it to feed? OR you borrowed the phone to browse? Don't the owner make use of her phone? Where do you live? And who pays the rent? No parents? No siblings? No relations? No friends? What about the boy's father's family?

I ask all these questions because I know for a fact that, no BLOOD RELÀTION would turn back a mother who cries to them that her child is hungry! Even if it is garri, they would give him to drink!

    3. Cont'd....if you want to give him up for adoption, please go to the rightful authorities or orphanges and give them the power of attorney and go away without coming back to look for him or the people that adopted him. BUT would you be able to live with your conscience? OR better still, go to a TV station and present your matter, and the boy would be gladly taken off your hands. I BEG YOU, DO NOT HARM THAT BOY, OR TRANSFER YOUR ANGER ON HIM BY ANY MEANS!

visit any hospital around your area and see how you will dancing and thanking God for his mercy, and some of those are mega billionaires .
I know is not easy, but in any situation give thanks to God.I'm not guessing, there are millions of people out dear ready to give up everything to be in your shoes, believe me,that's the truth.

You came to the right house and family,So your problem is warming up for a race to destruction !
You are not alone, don't make room for devil in your heart. If such though pays you another visit,Tell the though and it's papa evil to get behind you.Is well with you.

    2. So we have been grouped together into the association of insensitive women? Oriegwu!

So if this blog didn't exist, some women will open their eyes and let their kids starve to death or just commit suicide to end it all.

When I think of all what my mum did in addition to her civil service job just to send her kids to the best schools, I can only shake my head.

  49. When someone comes to you begging for bread. You give. He/She will come again for bread or something else thinking you have a bread factory.
Teach them how to fish.don't give them the fish.
In essence, all these people coming on here to beg for this and that,I think Stella should reduce the donations and increase the job assistance.
If you're moved to help, pls help them better by giving them something to which they can generate their own income, that way you save further beggi beggi. Cos some ppl are just too lazy.they just sit back and beg and enjoy self pity. Instead of dusting their asses and empowering themselves.
    My own opinion tho.

    1. Nigerians ve misplaced priorities,I told my aunt who wanted me to sponsor her son abroad to tell him to go and learn a "work"she refused telling me are my kids not un abroad schooling bla bla bla......but her son already has braids, tattoos,he even pierced his nose and ears.....anyway I turned her down.....
This is where I love d yorubas, they combine there secondary education with craft and by d time they are through with school they are already established and if they choose to continue with tertiary education they use those skills to see themselves through in school cos their papa no send them oooo......cos polygamy is so rooted there so na everybody with him mama and they actually survive and make d best of it unlike our igbo people that has entitlement mentality and is so rampart with d females:;;;yea I said it and its true.

    2. Sponsor her son? Ninjas! Na you born am? If your children dey abroad nko? Na their papa money! I dislike such people with a passion! EEwanyi, you know your condition, save your energy and stop explaining too much. Sob stories don't move me again because I have endured dark moments in my life also and I came out stronger. some peeps are good at begging. Let me share this:

A man came to complain that he could not pay his children school and he is working. He was helped. He came again to complain about another thing, I assisted. He came again, this time I refused because I realized he has taken it for granted!

Another lady whom we attened open university off campus programme complained about not having money to balance her schoolbfees and transport fare to the exam location. I assisted. She complained again of not having food to eat, I assisted. She got married, only for her to send me a mail asking for financial help again! I ignored the mail. It was later, I found out that she begs other students in the class and she is working in a bank! I realized she is a professional beggar!

I helped to pay waec fees for A boy only to find out he was lying, used the money for something else.

What about a relation I helped several times, only for him to be coming to ask me for every trivial things, that I ignored him!

There are few genuine cases but how do we know them? And how are we sure they won't come back asking for more?

    1. I grew up in a tighter environment, and I watched my mum work like a jacky.
My mum from a very poor background, married my father who was not only poor but very abusive and not once did she raise her voice at him nor starve him.
My mum, made our home as comfortable as possible, never missed morning mass, always cheerful and willing to do any kind of job to make sure we ate and I followed in her footsteps so forgive me if I do not understand ur plight.
U guys ve no idea about duty and responsibilities,I got married b4 my 14th birthday cos it was d right to do at that point,I didn't complain to anyone when I couldn't walk for days cos my totoh was hot and paining me ,I didnt complain to anyone when I felt nauseous from pregnancy and couldn't hold any food down,I didn't complain to anyone I hated my husband for hurting me badly ever night........but here I am today, standing strong shaped by those pains and telling u to go back to d basics and get it right cos ur foundation is very faulty and shaky.
