Posting the statement to his Facebook and Twitter pages, the former minister cited Australian hostage and crisis negotiator Stephen Davis, who alleged the above duo were key elements of the insurgency on Arise News. Davis claims the information was disclosed by Boko Haram commanders, who claim the pair has targeted individuals for assassination and execution.

The federal govt cannot claim to be unaware of the sponsors of boko haram, rather it has been shielding the sponsors from prosecution. How does boko haram gets its ammunitions? How does boko haram fuel their vehicles? How come under a state of emergency, boko haram still operates brazenly in broad daylight? Why are the military chiefs procuring outdated weapons for our soldiers? Its either the fG covertly supports boko haram or they are just clueless

You hear this, you run with it and switch allegiance. When his party member was equally accused of being a sponsor, why didn't mr el-rufai believe the news. It may interest us all, arguing over this post, to know that Dambazau was the COAS sacked by GEJ and not Ihejirika who, before being replaced, had well exceeded the mandatory retirement age. In fact, Ihejirika was only replaced when the military hierarchy started voicing loud concerns about Ihejirika staying on well beyond retirement age. On the other hand, it is a well-known fact that El-rufai is a tribal bigot who is hell-bent on rousing tribal frictions in Nigeria by any means possible. Furthermore, El-rufai has not hidden his hatred for GEJ whom, for reasons best known to him, he considers an Igboman. Going by these known facts, I dare say that El-rufai is trying to incite tribal frictions by claiming the COAS referred to by the Australian is Ihejirika rather than Dambazau. It is a classic case of "pointing the people in the direction you'd want them to look". Nice try El-rufai, we are not all stupid though.

The Australian negotiator hasn't finished his job of negotiating the release of the kidnapped girls. What was this interview supposed to achieve? Has it brought the girls out? Doesn't this further compromise the matter?
Are we gullible enough to believe this story? The "fighters" told him their sponsors on their own free will? Not under pressure or after thoroughly being drilled by security agents?
It's like saying that you are trying to negotiate with people that kidnapped your mother and they go on to tell you that your in-law is responsible even when they haven't seen their money or releasing your mother?

As for El Rufai, he needs to take a break and face the plague affecting his family. Shouldn't that be more important to him now?
