Ebola -Four More Patients Survive In Nigeria.

Four additional confirmed Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) patients were Monday discharged from the quarantine centre in Lagos.

This brought to five the total number of patients diagnosed with the virus who are now declared free of the infection and have left hospital.

Guardian reports that the Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, Monday, said, “they have been managed successfully and are now disease-free. They have been discharged home today (Monday).”

A statement by the Special Assistant on Media and Communication to the Minister of Health, Mr. Dan Nwomeh, said that the discharged patients included “two male medical doctors and one female nurse.

The three participated in the treatment of the index case while the fourth person was a female patient at the time the index case was on admission.”

*Thank goodness there is hope...I pray Dr Adadevoh pulls through in Jesus Name...do it Jesus,do it.

    1. Now this is some cheering news. I am happy that these ones r fine. Lemme NOT activate my rational mind by asking if these cases actually tested positive to EVD or they just happen to present wit symptoms that r akin to EVD? Were they misdiagnosed in the first place? Did they pull thru due to their high immunity or were special undisclosed drugs administered? The survival rate in Nigeria has clearly surpassed the recorded margin.
N Dr Agwoturumbe should pls consult his Ngwo Idols and tell us the truth if his American Idols will b biased in their judgment.

    3. Mr Kehinde, you are very correct. My idols have been on vacation afraid of the Chicken blood I offer them. Ebola things.

But this new idol from Ngor Okpala Is also very skeptical with these recoveries.

It postulates that these are contacts quarantined who did not exhibit any Ebola symptoms after 21 days but trust our guys to present it as healing.

My idol warns that this misrepresentation may lead to influx of Ebola victims to Nigeria believing that we truly have the medicine (according to Minister of information)

    3. Liberia has recorded the highest numba of deaths so far and yet not everyone has died of the diz for all those mumu ppl asking if they are sure.. having Ebola is not a death sentence with early detection, strong antibodies and proper management and prayers ppl can actually survive. Don't forget Liberia had war for more dan 10 yrs and nothing works there like it sld.. Nigeria has a better health care system than those countries. So STFU and don't display ur ignorance here.

    1. I'm with you on this. That's why the nurse that escaped to Enugu is one of them. She must have tested negative but they decided to just keep her and that's why she took off initially. Nigeria's things are not just straight and they think everyone is stupid.

      Delete
    2. ABI? If not why can't they tell us what they used to treat them? All these lieing that the minister of health is lieing, na oonly she waka come?

      Delete
    3. Even in Liberia, not every body that had Ebola died.. So many survived so don't be ignorant... Its a virus that has a short life to life, doesn't survive after a while. So your immune system need to be built to stand the virus, after which other virus dies off when it can't fight you... This ebola isn't as scary as it sounds...

      Delete
    4. Azzin. Please in our Godliness lets also be pragmatic. They were "treated and cured" with WHAT??? What an ambiguous comment released by MOH. And then released I to the general populace. What if the virus just went into remission?

Abeg I don tire to de think for people. This all does NOT add up, throw in the abandonment of nanosilver plus the american ambassadors convenient visit...may all be coincidence but instinct tells me.all is.not as it seems.

God be with us all as we endeavour to use our brains. Amen

    5. Naaa they are not lying at least not the one I'm sure of. One of them is my friend's childhood friend. He even didn't celebrate his bday last Sunday cos his friend was ill and quarantined, that's how close they are. My friend called me shortly after the Sawyer news broke that his friend was one of the guys that treated Sawyer. Since then we became worried but remained calm since he wasn't ill. Then one day he became ill and the symptoms started showing @ Ds point, he was already quarantined. As soon as the news broke I was extra scared I even avoided my own friend sef cos of that. I remember visiting my friend since I couldn't avoid him forever, I drove n parked at his gate and called him and pleaded with him to tell me truth if he had even seen his friend when Sawyer was still alive and he said he hadn't that they only spoke on phone. Fear no gree me enter the house. Lol...When I was sure he was not lying, I eased up a bit. But I was also praying for the sick guy. My friend told me he had asked his younger bro to go to scoan to get anointing water, they got it and he drank it. Suddenly his fever started subsiding and then the diarrhea stopped, he became stronger by the day and 'voilà' he's been discharged. So I believe God healed him and you sef try believe too...EEE!!!

Some married women are very very terrible. They cheat like there's no tomoro. Its even funny dat dese useless married women are d ones dat complain most.
Women pls train ur kids very well especially ur daughters. When a married woman is even cheating, what will happen to her kids when they grow up??
Everybody's mother is nice, caring nd decent...... What about dose chronic cheating wives?? Who are their kids?? They don't see anyfin wrong in dia's mother's ways??
So pls ur orientation shld nt be MEN cheat always,, WOMEN cheat too!! Its a 50/50 thing. When a post about cheating comes up,, everyone has a story bou her cheating hubby/bf. No one is talking bou cheating wife/gf. Naso girls holy? Abi no be all dese girls we dey see for Naija?? Married women inclusive!

  40. My own question is. What are they administering to them that is making them recover. Or is it proper management that is making them recover?. They should not just tell us "they have recovered". What were they given. How was it handled. I no dey trust naija. Na so that minister talk say we are prepared with vaccines before e enter naija. As it enter we begin beg USA for Zmapp. So whether na the Zmapp them beg for them dey use. Or what.

  43. Meanwhile, common-sense basics like hygiene, nutrition, vitamin D, and intravenous vitamin C are overlooked. Thomas E. Levy, MD, JD recently published an article24 addressing potential Ebola remedies, noting that vitamin C may be of particular importance:

"To date, not a single virus has been tested that is not inactivated (killed) by a large enough dose of vitamin C (ascorbic acid)... A primary way in which vitamin C destroys viruses, or sets them up for destruction by the immune system, is by activating the 'Fenton reaction.' In a nutshell, this reaction can proceed inside the virus, inside cells in which viruses are replicating, and on the surfaces of the viruses themselves.

The result of this reaction that is stimulated by the presence of vitamin C, one or more transition metal cations, and the local presence of peroxide is the immediate production of hydroxyl radicals. These radicals are the most reactive oxidizing agents ever identified. As such, they radically upregulate oxidative stress and end up destroying whatever is in their immediate environment."
