Ebola - Charles Novia Calls Out Nigerian Celebs For Participating In The #Icebucketchallenge.

King of ''CALL OUT'' Charles Novia is fast making it to my list of ''Hotties'' with the way he is calling out people for the right reasons.
Just a few days back it occurred to me that we had a lot of challenges that our Nigerian celebs could take up but they will not, they 'sit down' and wait for the Western world to begin something and then they quickly jump on the bandwagon!

What are you pouring ice on your head for and supporting a fight that is not yours when Ebola is eating up people where you are?

Its like the proverbial saying ''leaving the big log of wood in your eyes and trying to helping someone remove the speck in theirs''.
Anyways,Charles has said it all.

THIS IS A CHALLENGE TO ALL NIGERIAN CELEBS TO JOIN THE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON EBOLA VIRUS...........there are still some people who do not know anything of this virus and ignorance kills. Please save them by using your handle to spread the message, open a community facebook page and do something!

    2. Nope! They can't do whatever they like..I disagree with you completely. The fact that u are a celebrity is an added advantage and should be used to create on issues bordering on your target audience which happens to be mainly Africans..if this icebucketchallenge was originated by an African celeb for a good cause why not? But copying every single thing the west does is becoming very annoying abeg..ur ppl are dying of ebola and not even one of Dem dEems it fit to create awareness or set a good example for the young ppl who look up to them..ice bucket challenge ko ice block challenge Ni..Charly you are on point with this one Jare.

    3. @ anon, permit me to knock your head pls. Do get ur facts right, we actually copied the Americans in the bring back our girls campaign, it was Chris brown who initiatd it even while in prison. Let's be sincere with ourselves even if na for once, everything charles said is 100% correct and am no fan of him.

    5. What sense is Charles Novia making here, Gene, Don j n other Naija celebs were nominated by their friends, what's he shouting about. What he (Charles Novia) done about d Ebola issue? How has he created awareness? What is he doing about it. Abeg Charles should shut d fuck up n stop criticising n complaining like a Lil lazy boy. Create awareness on Ebola n see if other celeb won't support u!!! Na so so to talk n complain that's what Nigerians are known for. When we had d #BringBackOurGirls campaign, didn't celebs all over d world join d campaign, especially American celebs? Abeg Charles Novia n co make una go sit down for potopoto. Charles Novia is always painting himself as Mr Original, but let me tell u here n now, ur movie Alan Poza was a very stupid n senseless movie that lacked originality, deal with it Mr perfect, mtchewwww.

    6. I see some comments on here n I tend to wonder how Charles is right about this? How is Charles Novia right? What has Charles Novia done about Ebola awareness? How is he different from those he his calling out? Who is he waiting for to kick that d awareness or campaign of Ebola? Is he a baby to talk or reason like this? Tonto Dikeh has atarted d Ebola awareness thing, what has Charles Novia done to support her? Is it to just sit back n call out on others when u re no better? Abeg Charles shut d fuck up n allow pple do their thing, ALS is not an American disease, it can hit anyone all over d world, ds ice bucket ish has created some volume of awareness n atleast some people like me now know that such an ailment exist which doctors here refer to indefinite stroke, I must confess I never knew such existed. Charles Novia, u re not d only one who can call pple out on a daily basis, shut da fuck up n start ur own awareness, if it's even on Malaria n see if others won't support u, Agbaya...... u ve said nothing, all u ve just said is meaningless, it is only meaningful to ur kind, rubbish. Madam Stella, I hope I won't look for ds comment.

    10. I am 100% with him on this one. It is so embarrassing with this copy cat syndrome! I know some would some argue that foreign celebs participated in the #bringbackchibokgals# but it is not the same! Some did it to simply belong to the trend as our celebs are doing right now!

ALS is a disease and money wants to be raised for it. Would our celebs donate in dollars? While don't they try to raise money and awareness for EVD?

      Delete
    11. @ Chizoba. I second your comment. Charity begins at home. This so called local celebrities as I call them were very clueless. Look at D'banji posting pictures of famous people he has met and he couldn't used that opportunity to promote either his charity or campaign for people that suffers in Nigeria Same applies to Genevieve and Omotola. Majority of celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Oprah and Bono including Bill Gates put awareness on their platforms. President John F Kennedy said and I quoted ", ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". Majority of these so called celebrities were self absorbed, self centered and selfish. I cannot remembered the last time one of them ever organized a fund raising for a charity. Is all about carrying birkin and meeting the who is who in the society without giving back to the community. "TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS EXPECTED. The ice throwing nonsense is fun to them. How many of them that threw the ice sent money to the ALS Charity? Foolish show off people. Who cares if you shake hand with President Obama? They announced they will give millions to help this and that when in reality they can only afford peanut. Show off people.

    12. I was so disgusted when I started seeing Nigerian "celebrities" doiin the #icebucketchallenge!
They are so not original, im embarrassed on their behalf.
Smh, some people that form posh are really not, they faked it till they made it and now that they have made it, they are still faking it, smh!

I was so pissed off about it then I came across this on fb, it's so annoying that these people who are meant to portray who we really are, sell us cheap, smh!

"Wait o, what exactly is the business of Nigerian celebrities with the Ice Bucket Challenge in America? Are these people okay at all?

By the way, the Ice Bucket Challenge is to raise awareness about the rare, incurable disease called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) IN THE UNITED STATES. What the celebrities do is that they are challenged to pour a bucket of iced water on themselves or have someone do that, they also get to nominate their friends to do it, and when such selected friends refuse, they have to donate $100 to ALS research. Well, it has been quite effective, raising over $31.5 million so far. Stars as Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, former President Bush and others have taken part. But for a Nigerian celebrity to get involved in this kind of a thing is to me, sorry to say, very stupid. What is the business of Genevieve Nnaji with ALS campaign in America? When they make their movies, na Americans dey buy am for Alaba Market? Are these people normal at all? So with all the countless Nigerians dying in the country because they cannot raise money for kidney transplant? Are these so-called celebrities even okay at all? So they cannot use their brains and come up with something creative to help Nigerians? Must they copy-copy and follow follow. If anyone challenge me to any Ice Bucket rubbish (Oludolapo take notice), na pure water I go throw at you. Nigerian celebrities should re-examine their opolos and see how their American counterparts are generating money for research into diseases. How much have how own raised for malaria alone in the country? Or even ebola that has been killing people? Na to just dey pose with Range Rover or Rolex watches and useless selfies on Instagram. If you are a so-called celebrity and you are not using your influence to benefit the people buying your movies, you are simply doro______ Mtschew. Aliko ko, Dangote ni."

    1. He already has a lot of enemies, it wouldn't matter if more are added. I guess being blunt and airing your views on a lot of topics rub some people the wrong way. I always find his opinions interesting and most of his criticisms constructive. The timing of this ice bucket challenge is wrong because the Ebola threat is the "rave of the moment" which is causing panic. Just when we were about to heave a sigh of relief, we hear of how people affected try to conceal it thereby making the spread harder to control. It presents a present and immediate danger so any other cause for concern pales in comparison. You'll be surprised at the backlash the President will get if he suddenly shifts his focus to the #bringbackourgirls campaign. He will still be called out by most people asking why that campaign and that against Boko haram has died down.

Naija celebrities are all suffering from a problem called ' misplaced priorities' . See them participating in the ice bucket challenge when we have malaria, cholera and even the deadly Ebola killing people faster than the ALS in Africa
How many of them have done any campaign about these issues to bring awareness to people?
To even worsen situation most of them don't even know what the ALS disease is all about but do the challenge for fame!
