There are several apps out there, try find one that is truely stealth. It may cost money in form of yearly or monthly subscriptions but its worth it, I guess. You can also use spy apps to track your kids movements etc as some of them have a gps tracking feature. I dont know about legal implications but It shouldn't get to that.

Hmmmmmmm but do u not need clearance or authority to do this under the law? Even law enforcement agents get a judge to certify the notion before they can spy on anyone via their devices. I think it's an invasion of human right privacy o. And network providers will have a lock which you'll have to get authority from them to decide before u can spy. I know because on the job, we've had to get a police report to be able to penetrate network providers to release call logs for investigation purposes. So I dont think it will be that easy.
