President Jonathan Denounces Kaduna Bombings.

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE
PRESIDENT JONATHAN CONDEMNS BOMBINGS IN KADUNA

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan condemns the bombings in Kaduna today which appeared to have targeted former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari and prominent Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi.

President Jonathan denounces the dastardly targeting of the prominent political and religious leaders by terrorists and enemies of the nation in an odious attempt to inflame passions and exacerbate disquiet, fear, insecurity and sectional divisions in the country.

While thanking God Almighty for sparing the lives of General Buhari and Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the President extends sincere condolences to the families of those who were sadly killed by the bomb blasts.

President Jonathan also commiserates with all those who were injured in the twin bombings in this Holy Month of Ramadan which defy the tenets of Islam, and provide further proof that the terrorists are nothing but blood-thirsty extremists bent on undermining the unity and progress of the nation.
The President assures residents of Kaduna and all other Nigerians that the Federal Government will continue and further intensify its ongoing efforts to effectively curb the menace of terrorism in the country.

He has specifically directed the Police and other national security agencies to take all necessary actions to apprehend the perpetrators of today’s attacks on Kaduna and urges all residents of the city to give them the fullest possible cooperation and support as they work to bring the terrorists to justice.

  10. I feel sorry for Jonathan. No matter what anybody says, terrorism is difficult to deal with. How do you fight someone who is willing to kill himself?

I will suggest that instead of issuing statements and looking for who to blame, the president should call together emirs, town heads and governors of these states and mandate them to set up local vigilante groups that will be paid by the FG. They should monitor their environs and provide local intelligence to Government. Set up a reward system for whistle-blowers. And empower the emirs to take over the security of their villages with the understanding that any act of terrorism emanating from any village will lead to the emir and his security apparatus to be held accountable.

The poor masses are the pawns in this sickening game between 2 groups.
My prayer is that destruction would start within themselves. Everybody should be praying for their own lives because that is the only weapon and succor we have..
The souls of the deceased rest in peace and God console the bereaved with his warmth and love.

Meanwhile any kind hearted BV who is looking for someone to do menial jobs for him or her should please contact me...I am a University graduate but the economic situation in the country has made me resort to driving okada for a living...Right now my okada is faulty and I have just been diagnosed of stomach ulcer again...Learnt how to make liquid detergent at NYSC camp, so I am thinking of delving into that, but as usual d dream has been hampered by lack of funds...I will love to wash plates, do laundry work and anything to raise capital(less than a 100k)...Anybody who wanna give me a menial job should hit me up!

  29. If he condemns problem, if he doesn't he is insensitive.....y'all should visit other terrorist ridden countries and tell me how far and how many years it's taken them to get rid of terrorism especially from these religious extremist it takes years. Except you want him to bomb the whole Northern Nigeria, that's the only solution....boko haram has gotten out of hand, their sponsors can't control them anymore, In exchange of the girls they need their captured members to constitute more havoc....we can only hope that this ends soon or that the country divides peaceful so they can solve their problem themselves. Jonathan is trying his best, that's all I can say........xoxoxo

  30. I may be wrong, how come that the attack is supposedly targeted at Buhari and the Islamic cleric, they managed to go unhurt? Do they have anti bomb proof in their cars? Am not buying this story, Buhari said he came out of his car and saw corpse everywhere, I still don't get how it happened. If it had targeted christian leaders, they somehow die in the attack. Supporters and sympathisers of boko haram are yet to be stopped.

  38. DEAR GOODLUCK JONATHAN,

    ••• NIGERIAN OLIGARCHS: PRIVILEGED
    ••• NIGERIAN MASSES: VICTIMS

PLEASE, HELP THE NIGERIAN MASES. CHANGE NIGERIA FOR GOOD. NOW IS THE CHANCE AND THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY TO REDRESS THE IMBALANCE BETWEEN NORTH AND SOUTH.

THE SOUTH IS DISADVANTAGE AND STILL BEING ROBBED BECAUSE OF THE OVER 35 YEARS OF NORTHERN DOMINATION. IT WAS UNJUST AND MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE.

SOUTHERN NIGERIA SHOULD NO LONGER BE SUBJUGATED BY NORTHERN NIGERIAN. THE MANY YEARS OF UNFAIRNESS MUST BE REDRESSED AND BROUGHT TO AN END, PLEASE.

NIGERIA'S ECONOMIC WEALTH IS UNJUSTLY IN THE HANDS OF A TINY FEW THAT ARE NOW DESTABILISING THE COUNTRY.

NIGERIA'S WEALTH MUST BE REDISTRIBUTED TO THE MASSES VIA THE STATE GOVERNMENTS AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL NIGERIANS AND NOT JUST FOR A PRIVILEGED FEW.

IT IS VERY UNFAIR THAT INDIVIDUALS OF NORTHERN ORIGIN HOLD 83% OF CRUDE OIL BLOCKS IN NIGERIA.

OIL BLOCKS SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS. IT SHOULD BE FAIRLY DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN ALL THE STATE GOVERNMENTS, AND WHATEVER IS LEFT SHOULD BE MANAGED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. THE CORRUPT SYSTEM OF AWARDING OIL BLOCKS TO INDIVIDUALS AND COMPANIES MUST BE ABOLISHED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

YOU AND THE SENATE MUST REVOKE ALL OIL BLOCKS LICENCES WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT AND REDISTRIBUTE THEM TO EACH STATE GOVERNMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FEDERAL CHARACTER PRINCIPLE.

    THANK YOU,
    KEMIKAL.

  39. According to Asari Dokubo, ex-Niger-Delta activist, the recent attack on Gen. Buhari was because "By 2016 oil block licences will expire..." ... It is a very insightful observation and makes a lot of sense and explains the increased insurgency, attacks, killings and desperate attempts by northern leaders to bully and blackmail Goodluck Jonathan out of power.

Northerners (former presidents, ex ministers, top military officers, politicians and businessmen of northern origin) hold 83% of Nigeria’s oil blocks. Its very unfair on the rest of the country.

OIL BLOCKS SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS. IT SHOULD BE FAIRLY DISTRIBUTED ONLY TO STATE GOVERNMENTS, AND WHATEVER IS LEFT SHOULD BE MANAGED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. THE CORRUPT SYSTEM OF AWARDING OIL BLOCKS TO INDIVIDUALS AND COMPANIES MUST BE ABOLISHED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. THE SENATE SHOULD REVOKE ALL OIL BLOCKS LICENCES AND REDISTRIBUTE THEM TO EACH STATE GOVERNMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FEDERAL CHARACTER PRINCIPLE.

Desperate northern leaders wants to eliminate ex army, Buhari and blame it on this current government so as to enrage and encourage a military coup so that Hausa / Fulani leaders can keep enjoying billions of dollars of OIL MONEY.

Boko Haram's so called JIHAD is all about OIL BLOCKS LICENSES to expire 2015 and renewed in 11/02/2018. and they want a northern in power in 2015 so that they can maintain their dominance, keep scrounging and sucking Nigeria dry. Boko Haram are paid assassins of NORTHERN LEADERS that are within APC and PDP.

Goodluck Jonathan must revoke all oil block licence because they were all corruptly obtained. Goodluck Jonathan and the Senate must list the names of crude oil blocks licence holders and beneficiaries in Nigeria. It must at all times be publicly available. That is transparency. Corrupt practices in politics must be brought to IMMEDIATE and permanent end. Born to rule mentality is motivated by corruption and OIL MONEY and must be brought to IMMEDIATE and permanent end. OIL BLOCKS AND OIL MONEY IN PRIVATE HANDS IS WHAT IS FUELLING NORTH VS SOUTH DISCORD, SELF-INTEREST POLITICS, DO OR DIE POLITICS, INSURGENCY, MURDER, GENOCIDE AND POGROM IN NIGERIA. IT MUST BE BROUGHT TO IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT END. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
