Governor Fayemi's Wife Says The Governorship Elections In Ekiti Was Manipulated.

Mrs Bisi Fayemi - First lady of Ekiti.

The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, has said that events unfolding after the June 21 governorship election in the state suggest that the election was manipulated from ‘‘source.’’

In due course, she said that the full story of how the election was allegedly manipulated against Governor Kayode Fayemi would be revealed.

She bared her mind while delivering a keynote address at the 50th anniversary public lecture and award ceremony of the state chapter of the International Federation of Women Lawyers. The theme of her address was “Women yesterday, today and tomorrow – the Ekiti experience.”On the occasion, Governor Fayemi; a legal practitioner, Mrs. Funmi Falana; and the immediate past state President of the National Council of Women’s Societies, Mrs. Nike Obatayo, were given awards for their exemplary contributions to women rights and empowerment.

According to the governor’s wife, many armchair analysts and commentators have opined that the electorate embraced patronage, popularly known as ‘stomach infrastructure’ as opposed to sustainable development during the last elections.
She said, “I would like to state that we have not heard the last about the election. Two weeks after the immediate confusion and hysteria of the June 21 election, a picture has begun to emerge.

“This will, hopefully, reframe the debates emanating from and about Ekiti and the choices they allegedly made on that day.
“In due course, the full and real story of how the Ekiti election of June 21 was manipulated from source will be revealed. There are many implications for Ekiti people having voted the way they supposedly did.”

She said that one of the implications, as it concerns women, was that all policies, laws and structures put in place over the past three years to protect them..culled

*Of cos it was manipulated with rice....or is there more?

  2. in other words your husband is 'entitled' to a second term. its just not possible the people just voted hm out because they didn't want him anymore abi???

that he was plugging corruption loopholes, and antagonizing teachers and other unions with hsi reforms just couldn't have caused masses to vote him out abi?

    cry me a river.

its come. its gone. you lost. the other guy won. now GET OVER IT!

  3. Woman please shut up. Ur husband lost woefully @ d polls. I get angry wen ppl say d election was rigged nd rice was shared just to buy votes, yes rice was shared but can Fayemi/APC say they didn't share gifts just to induce ppl. I was the Presiding officer(P O) of my unit nd i can say,d election was free nd fair, thou both parties tried to induce electoral officials with money. Politics is a dirty game,if u can't scam then go nd register in a convent. U lose and u keep screaming blue murder without no evidence. Erelu start taking what u can now before october. Renegade says so.

  30. This woman should just shut up and stop insulting us. She played major part in her husband's humiliation by desperately portraying herself as a joint governor and not just an unelected First Lady. Bisi Omo Logbalogba is just damn too pushy and without decorum. Full of superiority . Complex which my people just won't accept. No one is too old or respected enough for her to slap. There is a major disconnect with the people and all she and her husband cared about was exporting friends and cronies to Ekiti to milk the system. Sola Salako, a non-Ekitieven had the guts to complain about being paid 'just' 800k a month for a sham consultant's job at the Radio station . Good riddance .to the couple as they head back to Ghana with their loot.
