  11. With all the atrocities the "so called" men of God commit these days..I just tire and wonder if its truly a calling
Most pastors are into it as a business that would yield money
But there are still pastors that were calledd by God!

  15. they have pastoral schools now. so when you graduate, you apply for pastor job and get paid.

    hehehhehe

if Fireman can say "God is a game"

    what else?

stella abeg treat your cold and leave "ndi church"

People had better be wise and serve God. pastors these days??? hmnn! long thing.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Stella,a lot of pastors who are 'called' don't have their own churches and serve in other people's churches. People go to pastoral schools and all, become certified pastors but don't necessarily have their own chuches. It's normal.

  17. Na so! I said it on another post that ministry has gone from being primarily a vocation/calling to just a source of income.
Many who began genuinely, have deviated.
Those who aspire to be pastors/teachers/evangelists/prophets, should bear in mind that they'll be held to a stricter judgement by God.

  19. It's not a calling these days, its just another line of bizness, dats y am in full support of govt collecting taxes from Pastors and also they should start paying pple that work for them in church eg(ushers, deacons, sanctuary keepers, choirmembers etc),unto this level now, they have long brainwashed pple that 'their service is to the lord',but when it's time to enjoy monies coming to the churches, dem Pastors chop alone!#wats gud for the goose is gud for d gander.the deceit and manipulation in churches is getting too much.

Some pastors are meant to be under some churches while some are to be on der own but greediness wil not allow dem bcos of title,,offerings & seed sowg..Na wah,,,everyone wants to be called general overseer

  33. My dear, church has become business. And yes, churches recuit people now as pastors. What irritates me is that the sham recruitment process doesn't focus on spiritual, mental and psychological maturity. The emphasis is on looks (packaging, he/she must look the part) and oratory skills(convince and excite the audience). Then when the pastor is selected and given a church to manage, the headquarters will set monetory and membershib targets! So the focus is no longer about the souls of men. So sad!

  35. So long as the name of Christ is preached! Nobody enters ur pocket. Its not right to tax churches. People should learn about true worship not using churches for money doubling. This evil world needs lots of godliness so yes to more churches and pastors. And no I am not a pastor but I know Gods word is real!

    ReplyDelete
  36. It is no longer a call, it is a trade. Once you can teach and quote the Bible, know how to manipulate people, you are good to go. That is the quickest way to be a multibillionnaire.. Rose

    ReplyDelete
  37. So it has gotten to this stage? Olorun ku suru
I wonder what the recruitment process abi selection process will be like, no wonder we have rapists, adulterers, ritualists , thieves amongst them. So anyone can apply without them knowing his history/ antecedents?
    INTERESTING!

  38. Nope!...Can't deal with this today...Next!

  39. Stella the pastor in my church retired yes I said retired. Currently we are looking for a new head pastor, here pastors don't attach sentiments, God can also direct them to lead another church. This is what I understand from this advert.
