    1. Stella, hmmmmmm.grace to grass? My name is Emem, my life has been opposite of my name! My step mother swore to make life miserable for us, sometimes I wonder why I was born into my family!after sec sch, my dad announced he can't sponsor me to uni to study medicine, I cried, cleaned my eyes and started hawking. Water leaf, palm oil, kerosene etc.my family friend decided to sponsor me to school! I was more than thankful, 3 years into my studies he came down to Nigeria, my mum sent me to go stay and help him out with chores till he traveled back.He raped me 3 days later. I got pregnant, he denied, I couldn't abort, was homeless, pregnant and broke! Used my last savings to rent a room, had no more to hawk pure water so I begged my former Neigbour and he gave me his cab on hire purchase, I became a cab lady. Saved money and went back to school, only to be told I was withdrawn last year.met a good Samaritan who has promised to send me to school abroad, now I'm told I can't be granted student dependent visa.

    2. Emem, you must answer to your name. I believe it means peace. I'm still job on God for my own story. I know one thing is for sure every bad experience has an end. And this one won't end you. My mum told me about how she suffered even before she had us. Living with her own blood sister and going for days without food until someone saw her (a hairdresser) and started buying boli (roasted plantain) and water for her every evening and that was food for the entire day. She said that if AIDS was in existence then, people would have thought she had the sickness. When things became better for her it was like a shock to people. She travelled some years back and she met an old friend who told her that he saw her drive past once ( she didn't see him) and all through that day he kept on thinking and saying to himself that God was indeed wonderful because he was still in awe. Even till now she's still respected by her sly "chop and clean mouth " sister. Lol. Success has a way of humbling those that don't wish you well.... sorry for the long and maybe disjointed post... and gbagaun if any.

Do i av grass to grace story?
    I doubt it!
I can only rememba d reason y i hate custard so much.
Many many years back, i cld av bin 5yrs old den, my parents were struggling, tins were tuff.

Trut is we always had surplus of giant sized custard, and my mama no dey let d tin rest.b4 u say jack robinson, my mum wld av put water on fire.
She wld make so much, n force us to take it cos it was all we had.

Till date, i hate custard so much, i cant even stand d smell. And wit time my parents indulged me.

Yea, i also rememba how my parents connived countless times n stole frm me.(E don tey sins i don dey suffer no be only ontop dis blog)
Na my mama be d major culprit, always quick to carry my 'kolom' (wooden piggy bank) and break in2 it.
I wld com hom,wit my lil savings lookin for my kolom,n be like, 'mummy where is my kolom',
she wld say i broke it, cos daddy doesnt av mony, i wld buy u anoda one soon.
I wld cry my eyes out, and i neva understood how my 'plenty money' equalled just 1 note wen it is refunded.

But now, tins are far better, we dey chop 'jenof rice', fried meat, beans n all.
Dis is my true hollywood story, i hope it's surulere enof 4 u.

  39. My story is a very interesting one but I won't bore anyone with reading it. However, one thing that sticks to mind is a day I don't ever forget. I was jobless at the time and went to buy water from a borehole near my house (in a slum somewhere in Abuja), I'd just put the water down when I saw my bff coming from work, I went to hug her and she shoved me aside saying 'pls don't rub my body with your sweat'. I apologized and moved away, it was not sweat, it was water from carrying a bucket of water on my head. Fast-forward a few years later, I travel with this same friend to anywhere I travel to for holiday, Dubai, SA... all expense paid by me. I have a borehole in my house in a posh part of the city that I own and don't carry water on my head nomore #HowDidIGetHere

He will change your story and turn your life around for good. The child you have from that rape will be a testimony in your life. Don't worry my dear, soon you will have a grass to Grace story to tell. Just believe in God and keep working hard and don't give up. It is well.
