This is not right, it's Sanusi Ado Bayero that's the new Emir, he was the son of the late past Emir. Get your facts right. Jonathan can never allow Lamido be an Emir, not with the 2015 elections. Northerners respect their Emirs.

ReplyDeleteAll those saying that president Goodluck Jonathan must now bow down to Sanusi Lamido Sanusi because he has been appointed the new Emir of Kano are forgetting one basic fact that we are in a democratic state and that the traditional rulers are at the mercy of the democratically elected governors of their various states. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi can only become Emir by the authorization of governor KwanKwaso. A democratically elected governor of a state can elect and unseat any religious leader within his jurisdiction. The president is in a much more superior position than the Emir. Nigerians should stop dragging the presidency to ridicule even when it is totally uncalled for. The president will only visit Sanusi Lamido Sanusi if and only when he chooses. And if he chooses only to shake hands with the Emir, then that will be the case. Yes president Goodluck Jonathan might have failed in some quarters doesn't mean we should always seize every opportunity to reduce him to unnecessary ridicule - Etcetera.

We know what that means for his political career in Kano and we all know Tinubu will not sell lagos again so he's practically lost the two Most populated states in Nigeria.
