Rihanna Versus College Student In Irony Of Life.

Irony of life....!

I remember when i was breastfeeding my 5month old son,it was in a shopping mall and he was really crying,i was nervous and tensed up and went to one side and put my monstrous nipple into his mouth.

A lady with a daughter who was half dressed and both with mouth agape walked up to me immediately and advised me to go home and feed my child or cover up.......i just kept staring at her teenage daughters half exposed peek-a-boobs....

.......I stared and stared and i have not forgotten how i thought they felt i couldn't bring it out and feed my child but people could walk around naked all in the name of fashion.

    1. Mine was in a church. My baby was just 3months and crying seriously, I moved 2d back and started bfeeding her only for an 'usher' to come and ask me to stop bfeeding my baby or go outside d church and that if I wasn't aware that I was in a church? I was shocked, angry and speechless. I just called my hubby out from d service and we left. I couldn't blv it. This was a woman like me too, she wasn't married so I tried to understand dt maybe she said it out of ignorance of what motherhood is about. The over-zealot didn't realise that I was in my Father's house. God's house. It was this same God that gave me my child that I was bfeeding. Nobody could even see me where I was seated cos all d attention was on altar. That the church is the place where every christian should be the most free. Free to be themselves in the presence of God.It's really sad. Abuja Babe.

    3. This is total nonsense. So the young lady shouldn't breast feed her child cos she is graduating? Rubbish. I honestly dnt see anything wrong with what the lady did Bikonu. Am sure she did the needful @ the moment. The world should deal with it.
      #my thoughts.

I readjusted and exposed the breast further!!!! Assholes

    5. Hi beautiful women... breastfeeding your baby is one of the most amazing and natural behaviors we were made to do as women, and once the baby starts to demand, we have no choice atall. However, breastfeeding our babies is also a very personal and special one on one time with our babies, that is when the baby gets to know us better and practically feel the life and emotions in us,meaning that when u r nervous or tensed up Bcos u r in public while breastfeeding, ur baby can feel that unhealthy vibe too. all these we share with our babies when they suckle. It shouldn't be done in public, just Bcos we grew up seeing our moms do it just anywhere doesn't make it normal or ok. Childbirth is also natural and we can't help it when the urge comes but u don't see pple squatting anywhere to birth their babies just because it is natural and u can't help it. We r humans not animals and there is never any reason good enuf to show nudity! I will NOT judge the young lady or Rihanna, they don't know any better. Women should always coverup no matter what! Equip urself with something to cover up when u go out with ur baby, plan 4 it just the same way u plan 4 childbirth.

If you are interested, We have nursing covers and can ship to you wherever you are, contact us on 08154745537. It comes with a changing pad in the pack. Very mobile pack and also makes a good baby shower gift.

    7. @anon 1.21,please don't justify breastfeeding in church, what stopped you from taking a few more steps outside and finding a private place to breasfeed? Cmon sense is truly not cmon,u were shocked and angry?? What fuckery!!!

    8. @kendall flower. I think you missed the point of her funny look. You mentioned a 4 year old boy. That's someone else's child you exposed to your nudity, natural or not. That is what makes breastfeeding without a cover up inappropriate in that instance.

  3. Stella please you need to learn the definition of irony. There's nothing ironic about this.

The woman is allowed to feed her child, most people use a small blanket to cover their breasts and get some semblance of privacy when breastfeeding in public place NOT pose for pictures, but to each their own. I don't know, breastfeeding at a graduation seems inappropriate.

Rihanna wore a see through gown to a fashion award show, her dress pushed the envelope of fashion, the very reason she WON a fashion award. The dress is extremely exhibitionist but considering the venue and the occassion, it was appropriate for it.

    1. Since when did public nudity ever become appropriate?

      Delete
    2. You obviously are not a parent. When ppl have no kids they tend to blab about such issues. Feeding your child is never ever inappropriate. And oh yes! It's Ironic how breasts are inappropriate when nursing but appropriate for fashion

      Delete
    3. My dear it's really ironic, cos d lady breastfeeding had no choice & she was condemned, but d lady *rihanna* that was supposed to be condemned, received ovation. Did u say 'appropriate' excuse me, on what venue of occassion? Porn audition??

    4. Anon12:01, obviously you are one of the peeps Valeria is talking about...you care more about fashion than a suckling babe getting fed....what is this world turning into? Am sure you're not a true mother cos if you have gone tru the 9 months course, you'll know exposing your breast to feed your child is childsplay compared to other sacrifices you have to make for the sake of your children!

See the way you justified nudity@pushing the fashion envelope

My lil girl yanks off my muslin anytime I want to cover her while breastfeeding in public...pray tell, should I let her wail cos of that??

Biko it is never inappropriate to feed your LO!!!

    7. I am a mother with two kids and I use the shawl to cover up wen breast feeding or I turn away from people. Its called decency. Rihanna was wrong for exposing her breast but so was the girl posing with exposed breast in the name of breast feeding.

      Delete
    8. Thank you Babe...Its never ok to expose urself for any reason whatsoever. Am a mom,I breastfeed in public places too,but I always cover up,a lil face towel can do it,to allow d baby suckle freely. Not posing for pic while ur baby is sucking with d whole breast out...

      Fireworks!!

    9. Babe, if your baby yanks off the shawl or handkerchief, what do you do?
At a graduation, there are people everywhere, infact, students mostly,so where did you expect her to go? Walk through a throng of students just to find an empty spot which I doubt she will? Oh please, different strokes for different folks.

  4. Real irony. People have got their priorities all wrong.

I don't agree with baring boobs publicly in the name of breast-feeding.

You can still breast feed in public, but with a shawl or scarf draped over the shoulders to preserve your modesty.

  5. Ma dear,I experienced d same thing o...I remember dis one vividly,my first child was about 6 months old and we had gone for lunch at a swanky restaurant somewhere around Enfield.we were at d table and my baby got hungry n started fussing.I set aside my food and proceeded to breastfeed her.just moments into d breastfeeding,a woman walked up to me and sarcastically asked me"is ur bobby a pacifier?" And wit a stone face told me I shouldnt breastfeed in public.I just ignored her.u wouldn't even know it was me she was talking to.all d while I was like " Anuofia,White trash!"

  9. nOTHING attractive in a breast thats feeding a baby + could be a friend that took the shot while she was breastfeeding. No law says she must cover the breast. What id there wasn't a shawl or extra cloth to cover the breast n the baby was crying and hungry, she shouldn't then feed her baby cos it will be termed inappropriate? Wonder why we love to poke our noses in other peoples business. What level of hypocrisy. Africans n low mentality!

No one is asking Madam graduand not to breastfeed her baby. There's a covering overall designed for such a private activity. Her body language depicting that'd of a true attention seeker. Have some self respect, there's no reason for any 21st century woman to whip out nipples in public under the excuse of breastfeeding.

  23. So she should not breastfeed cos she is graduating maybe she has no place to hide, but she should have covered a lil but her baby needs to feed cos wen they start their cry here ehh. Mothers know what am talking about, my lil gal does not joke with her bobbi ohhh at all. And as for the usher that asked that u should go out and breast feed na madness dey worry am, make she do hustle one bobo for church then get married n have a baby and she will know what's up

  24. The question isn't where but HOW. You should be able to breastfeed whenever and wherever the baby's hungry but you HAVE TO COVER your breast-at least most of it especially the nipples!

  25. I dnt knw if anybody has taken notice of these observations on these 21/22nd century generation of women....Women wt their cleavages wildly xposed 4 public consumption is no crime bt NOT the NIPPLES. Even in nude clubs; yu can finger it bt the NIPPLES is NO_GO area.Yu unknowingly run into a naked lady, she goes 4 the nipples leaving the rest of the body in a shock...These answers the justification of Rihanna's nudity to public breastfeeding of a baby..The critics are ppl who believe in protecting the nipples to the health of a child that can barely talk..funny

    ReplyDelete
  26. OMG I cannot believe your mentality!

what does being married have to do with the f word?

They should ask their mothers how they were breastfed!
The world is so sexualized that a simple natural innocent action is now seen as bad!
Do you peeps understood the pressure she was under at that particular time? Have you peeps handled a hungry baby? Do you know how the cries can get to you?
Who carries a wrap during an important moment in their lives?
BTW, when did this wrap became trendy in the Nigeria \ Africa society that peeps are shouting wrap! Wrap! Wrap!
It is a woman that has not seen trouble that would be using hands to hold her breast while running.
