STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE
PRESIDENT JONATHAN DEPLORES ATTACKS ON CHURCHES NEAR CHIBOK
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has received with dismay and consternation reports of yesterday’s attacks by Boko Haram on churches in villages near Chibok, Borno State.
President Jonathan shares the view of the most learned Islamic leaders and scholars that no true Muslim will resort to the mindless killing of innocent people at any time, especially not during the holy month of Ramadan, to redress any perceived grievance.
The President believes, therefore, that Sunday’s attacks on churches and other similar atrocities by Boko Haram are conclusive proof, if any is still needed, that its leaders and members are thoroughly misguided persons who are only using religion as a cover for their reprehensible crimes against their countrymen and women.
President Jonathan urges all Nigerians, irrespective of their religious beliefs, to resist this new attempt to undermine the nation’s firm and collective resolve to unite in full support of its armed forces and security agencies against the vicious perpetrators of brutal attacks on innocent citizens.
The President assures all Nigerians once again that the Federal Government and national security agencies will continue to intensify ongoing efforts to end Boko Haram’s senseless attacks until the terrorists are routed and totally defeated.
He commiserates with the families and churches that lost loved ones, members and places of worship during Sunday’s attacks.

Oh good Jesus...when will this nigga stop condemning. What am I even saying? This issue is definitely beyond his control. Is it until RIP becomes a greeting in Nigeria , they would take a bold step...everyday we saying RIP to the dead.
ReplyDeleteOf which this brings me to Fani Kayode's earlier interview about the BH sponsors on TV.
DeleteWhy is that man such a careless talker? Well except he confirms his allegations. For the life of me, pointing accusing fingers when it comes to terrorism shouldn't be a joke. We all make subtle suggestions as regards those we think are the brain behind it and whatever. But he went on national TV to say that much and he's still a free man? He spoke in the affirmative about who the sponsors are. Yes democracy is about freedom of speech. But when it concerns security of an entire nation it shouldn't be taken as mere assertions without being held liable or accountable. He should by now be telling the security details why he is confident to accuse an entity of being the BH killers.
He said he couldn't mention names on air, but he should be subpoenaed by the power that be to clarify their identities with the CIAS off air..at least. . Smh
So thats your concern?
DeleteEnough already with all these condemnations Oga Jona!
ReplyDeleteWhat next after this??
......the fisherman's son,all he can do in his capacity as a Whole President of a nation is to condemn!smh.#it is well
ReplyDeleteNigerians voted for a man who was born into poverty. Even when we as a people regard poverty as a disease that rots the mind. Now he is demonstrating his deprived mentality. Nigerians can talk and talk but will always do nothing. We still admire and emulate the very people who are killing us and our future. They walk around freely, with no fear because they know that we are bad people and will always let bad things happen. Nigerians call God more than any other nation but fail to understand that we must serve God in spirit. We keep fooling ourselves about the morality of Westerners when our women exchange their sex for hair. Western countries who have systems that work but yet we say things like ordinary london. We send our kids to Ghanaian schools and believe that we are better off than those whose kids can only afford to school in our country. And sadly we are not wrong. Nigerians, please let us accept first that we are stupid, morally bankrupt, disorganised, zombified people who think too highly of themselves. Maybe then we can begin treatment so that we can finally reach our God given potential. God bless Nigeria, the world's most blessed nation.
DeleteLmao. Smh
ReplyDeletePapa Condemn don come again
ReplyDeleteNormal....
ReplyDeleteLet him continue to receive reports! Which leader in the world would not have visited the North East to see things for himself and console the victims of these senseless and wanton destruction of lives and properties? I have never seen a leader as weak and as indecisive as the one we are saddled with! These victims are Nigerians, by staying away from North East, Boko Haram has already won but by visiting the attacks will not likely stop, but it will give a sense of belonging to the victims and a BIG morale booster for our men and women of the armed forces! Lets call a spade a spade, we are headed in the wrong direction as a country, PERIOD.
