There is already a riot in kano now as pple of kano aren't in support of his "emirship". Sanusi is not even a match to a governor let alone the president. Stella you dissapoint me in your biased pronouncements of late. The title of Emir of Kano is not a hereditary one I.e it is not passed from father to son. You are selected based on being of the lineage. The kingmakers select based on who they believe is qualified in terms if age, education and other parameters. SLS is of the lineage and eminently qualified for selection pls!

DeleteStella, I totally agree with you. Sanusi's term at the Central Bank would have been up this month if he was not removed by the President. Everyone knows that he wanted to replace the emir. It is no surprise that the emir should die as Sanusi's tenure comes to an end at the Central Bank. There is something sinister about the whole thing. Did he have a hand in his uncle's death? Nigerians should be ready for more instability in the country. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is a very dangerous man and should never had to hold any office if Nigeria had a functional democracy.

SLS is innocent of Ado Bayero's death, i remember dt faithful saturday when the late emir was shot, SLS came to d hospital i work in V.I crying dt his uncle has been shot and he need air ambulance, that will air lift him from kano to the UK at any cost, crying like a baby that nothing should happen to his uncle. So i wonder where pple are getting this news that he has a hand in his uncles death. Its his entitlement and this is the time God has ordained he will be emir, so we all should be happy for him period.

The appointment of Sanusi as Emir has very wide implications against the re-election of Goodluck Jonathan. This appointment is obviously political to serve a certain purpose. Sanusi will leverage on this position to campaign for the APC to other Emirs in the North. The most populous states of Kano, Lagos and Rivers States are Gone to the APC, Northeast is almost totally gone against Uncle Jona. What is the future of Jonathan in the next Presidential elections? I guess he deserves to be re-elected and we should not compensate the Fulani Cabal for terror.
