Obasanjo Says Some Chibok Girls May Not Return...

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo Thursday declared that some of the abducted chibok girls may never return.
In an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Hausa  Service monitored in Kaduna Thursday, Obasanjo  said that perhaps succeeding generations would continue to remember those female students who were abducted by suspected Boko Haram members in April.

He disclosed that only those girls who would later get pregnant and find it difficult to cater for the babies in the forest who might be released by the insurgents.

Obasanjo said that he had ways of communicating with the suspected Boko Haram members but the government had not permitted him to do so.

He noted that the girls might have been separated, and were not kept in the same location.

He said: “I believe that some of them will never return. We will still be hearing about them many years from now. Some will give birth to children of the Boko Haram members, but if they cannot take care of them in the forest, they may release themselves.”........

*Baba please intervene in this crisis, you do not need the government to tell you what to do,if you know more than they do and can help, please help.

Sad to even hear anyone talking about these girls being pregnant..i feel depressed just thinking about anyone violating anyone sexually.
Baba please intervene oooooh..Baba biko....

  4. Stella, sad as it is,the girls are most likely being violated. What is most sad is that they are citizens of a country! If the #bring back our girls campaign irritate some people, then just think how hopeless the matter really is.Just imagine if 200 American girls were kidbapped,if there'll be a hiding place for ANYONE involved. Some of you will come here & say it took the USA ten years to find Bin laden! That was on anoher man's terrain yet they did. & Some daft people will come here & say "_ona till 2019! Wish your daughters were in that bush! Mtcheeeeew

  5. Like seriously, if OBJ knows something about the abducted girls it beholds on him to pass on the information to the Government of the day let them deal with it. Obj should be told he is no longer in power. Pass on your information to GEJ let him deal with it. Its indeed sad to think the girls are being molested sexually by those hoodlums out there in the bush. They are peoples children too.

  10. I think I am forced to see reasons and agree with him, because the return of those girls has taken too long, everyone of them by now would have been sexually abused, and that's just the bitter truth

Your comment will be visible after approval

  11. Am too overwhelmed with sadness to say much, but note that the carelessness of this govt has led to us acquiring a future generation of abused and bitter women cos the chibok girls will never be the same again! And the children who these girls will birth? Another story for another cause a few years down d line we might have 7year olds wielding guns and having no value for human life! Its a messed up situation

  12. Stella, he is saying the truth. And we too have to come to that realisation, whether we like it or not. Those girls will not return the same. Its even possible some are not alive, the fragile ones, while some are already pregnant. Some might not even want to return again as they might start getting used to the area, the longer they are kept there. Its just a pity Nigeria has been deliberating on who- knows- what and playing politics on the lives of these kids. Its a very sad situation. Baba can not involve himself unless the govt involves him. Na hand e wan use rescue them? Like joke, these kids are fast entering into govt trash box. All the protests of #bringbackourgirls seem not to have worked on these hard-hearted govt. If the truth be told.

  23. If they return at all. They are busy chasing SLS and struggling for 2015. Those kid will only return through divine intervention. This people dont care about anyone but themselves. Those kids are gone for good. 60 days and no one is talking. Soon the military will arrange some girls and display them on TV as chibok girls returnee.

  24. Even Obasanjo knew about BH before he left, they told him that something was going on in that sambisa forest but he did nothing, now what?God should just intervene.

  25. Cant you people see that this old man is playing politics? He has turned himself into a Tin God!. He's only trying to rubbish Jonathan and stay relevant. Is this what an old man does? Common. We are all not stupid. Anybody can figure out what he has just said, its a reality we have to face unfortunately. But he has no POWER to do jack. When he first went to Borno years ago to vist and negotiate with leader of Boko Haram, what happened?....more killings. Abeg sit in Abeokuta. GOD would intervene and find a way for this country

  27. Is this Obasanjo really a true patriot or he is seeking for relevance? Let him act and stop trivializing the issue. I dislike such people.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thank you@Kate. Obasanjo can play dirty politics just to remain relevant in the country he has so plunged into darkness in his 8 years of evil rule. It is only those who can't read in between the lines that still take him serious. If he knew that much he would have eradicated the Boko boys during his tenure instead of postponing the evil day. Please, he should just stay quiet because he is not God to redeem Nigeria. I believe God will make all things possible in His time.

  29. Who does not know that the boko haram members are Paedophiles and rapists. God will destroy them with his mighty hands.

Baba, please, as a two time head of state, you owe this country your patriotism. Bill Clinton will not see danger lurking around USA and keep quiet. This is why I will forever love Dora Akunyili. Please, act in the interest of these innocent children. God blesses us when we care for other people. Rose

  32. Imagine what a three time head of State is saying. Obasanjo, after your generation has finished this country, the little you can give back to a country that has made you a multi billionaire from all the monies you have stolen from her, you are saying the Govt hasn't given you the go ahead. Baba fear the God you call upon, fear him, for HE is a consuming fire.

  33. This man would not rest.

We know that you former leaders and some current leaders are at the head of the Boko Haram syndrome. Of course you have a way of communicating with them, what you actually mean is that the government would not allow you communicate with them on their behalf .

In the same vein you have been communicating with them, tell them not only to release the girls, but to stop killing harmless Nigerian citizens.
