Bride Under Fire For Fastening Newborn Daughter Into The TRAIN Of Her Wedding Dress As She Walked Down The Aisle

Something old, something new, something borrowed and something ... you should never do?

A Tennessee bride has defended her curious decision to strap her newborn daughter into the train of her wedding dress as she walked down the aisle, saying the baby was 'awake and well-secured' and that she was 'covered by Christ'.

Shona Carter-Brooks has been attacked online for the bizarre bridal party moment following her marriage to Johnathan Brooks in Ripley last month,  with some commentators arguing she should be reported to child protection services.

The couple, who live in Jackson, just outside of Nashville, are believed to have only welcomed their little girl, Aubrey, one month before the ceremony.
The dress appears to have been altered to allow for the child.

Criticisms of the act ranged from 'classless' to 'incredibly dangerous', which many saying the child could have suffered carpet burn from being dragged along the floor of the Elam Baptist Church in Ripley.

'I am sorry but if I would have saw that I would have gotten out of my seat and taken that baby. That is truly dumb,' complained one person on the website Clutch.
However Carter-Brooks hit back at her critics in two elaborate posts on her Facebook page, saying she does not regret the decision.
'People questioning what we do, commenting all negative, and just doing the most,' she wrote.

'We good though we covered by the Blood which never loose its power.
'So to the media, radio, news, and whomever else wanting to talk about what WE do here you go:
'Media Media I see how it works regardless the situation or purpose people gone (sic) have something negative to say!
'The answer is we do what we want, when we want, as long as Jesus on our side everything worked out fine and gona (sic) continue to be fine.'

The bride's second post maintained that her daughter was in no danger.
'Our 1 month old was awake and well secured on my train,' Carter-Brooks wrote.
'Most important while yall got ya feelings in us we had our hearts in Christ which covers all!!
'So keep ya mouths running for it was just that Exclusive and Epic enough we made top blog (sic) way from small town Ripley, TN and the social media doing what they do, TALK!!!!........Dailymail

*wow!!!!..i am shocked.

    1. Was she aware of the power of the blood of Jesus before or after the child was conceived? That baby was born a month before the church wedding, I find it laughable that she can be so vocal and reliant on a Biblical principle while completely disregarding another Biblical principle. What I find disturbing, apart from the obvious rape on spoken/written English, is that her family and friends just watched as she walked down the aisle with a living and fragile "appendage"! Wow! I wonder where she found an equally clueless individual to strap the baby to her gown! You mean she actually got out of the car and waited for the attachment of her baby before entering the church? Or the poor angel's fate was already sealed in car on their way to church? Ohhhhh! This is wrong on so many levels! Postpartem depression, perhaps? Poor baby.

  6. I thought "stupid" was what white people did? Child services should take the child for her. She's not fit to be a mother. All this probably for 5 minutes of fame? KMT!

  41. I think she is just trying to be different doing what no one has done before. I just wonder why no one (including the people that attend the wedding) has call social service yet. As soon as see her walking down, I would have walk out of the church and anonymously alert the local authority.
I f she had waited 10 or so years to have that child, she would probably have cherished her more.

  42. Child Services should pay her a visit. She's MAD!How can she drag a baby on the floor like that. Anuofia!
