ReplyDeleteShe and her colleagues back then were fantastic, apart from Regina Askia who couldn't act to save her life. But what Regina lacked in talent, she made up for with zeal and passion.

ReplyDeleteShe stays in Nürnberg Right? I remove cap for a working class girl who leaves Naija and relocates to a non-English speaking country....It ain't easy mehn....Frustration and anger go be ur middle name, no matter the level of comfort you have.....Work nko, dem go say dem need Akzent-frei Deutsch....And not everyone can do menial jobs abeg....Anywayz Sandra, jisike Ike....everything we do na for the kids naaa, cos they get better life here....If you've gat a good job in Naija, keep it....come here for ur hols and medical checkups....no place like home.
ReplyDeleteIm considering coming to Germany for my masters next year, and staying awhile, but this statement of urs just broke my heart
DeleteAnon 10:57am, you're right. I kindda agree with u.
DeleteSandra Achums, you really do look good I must commend.
@anonymous, hope you've learnt how to speak the language? Cos if you don't, be prepared for 5 years of cultural shock! And because it's not an English speaking country, a lot of them will tell you they don't understand English! I lived there for a while so I speak from experience! My experience,
Delete- passer by rearly say hello to each other
- they are dam strict
-when you say something, mean it! Never say what you don't mean
I don't know which city in Germany you are planning to go and do your studies! I will advice you, whatever study you plan to do, do it in English! It can be quite frustrating for a newbie to take up any study in German!
-finally, Germany is the opposite as compared to Nigeria. All the best in whichever choice you make.
Pepper ose oku! Onye ofufe!
Bitter truth....Just finish my masters...still job-hunting...Most of my course mates left for their home countries immediately the program ended...To think, I paid 35k Euros for an MBA in the best business school in Germany...WHU-Otto Beisheim school of management Vallendar....Anywayz, no leave no transfer for me, I don become one of them....Why not go to Canada? Get ur masters and then get a residence permit???
DeleteAnd then, I forgot to add that, of course you can actually come for ur masters and then go back home afterwards....it makes life easier for you cos you will always get an EU visa anytime u wanna visit....Use ur masters as a door-opener.
DeleteYou wey dey talk anonymous 4:53PM , wetin you still dey there dey do,Abi your kpali never ready? No let those people frustrate you o! if you don get am, e betta make you relocate! Funny enough, that country eh, if you dey there, u no go wan comot! I no know if them use jazz take tye people! You don see where person go dey suffer, e see chance to commot, e no go wan commot? Na so e dey!

ReplyDeleteWow! Sandra Achums. Loved her in love without language. She was a great actress, unlike many in the industry now.
ReplyDeleteAwww Sandra Achums... Missed her acting and all those old actresses not all these new ones that you keep mixing up their names...
ReplyDeleteU look good Sandra!Love to ur family.
ReplyDeleteI loved Sandra and love her more even now dat she knew when to quit and for a VERY GOOD reason too - family. To those who said she couldnt act, recall these were de pioneers of Nollywood, an era we could safely and forgivably call mediocre. What can u say about de talentless oafs we have these days who "hope to win an Oscar" someday but cant even act Tales By Moonlight convicingly and whose only claim to fame is living false lives on Instagram posting pics of knock-off "designer" stuff?
ReplyDeleteHats off to Sandra and her ilk. God bless her and the life she has chosen.
Wow good to see sandra again o...all this old better nollywood stars
