Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, on the top of a vehicle during a campaign tour of Ikirun community... on Tuesday. |
Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has said that the All Progressives Congress lost the Ekiti State governorship polls due to fraud but maintained that it was impossible to rig him out in the August 9, 2014 governorship election in Osun.
The governor spoke in Ikirun on Tuesday during the continuation of his campaign which was held in the town.
Aregbesola, who was obviously excited by the large turnout of his supporters at the campaign, said that it was impossible to oust him from power in Osun State because he still enjoyed the support of the masses.
The candidate of the APC, who spoke in Yoruba language, urged the people of the state to vote and protect their votes from being manipulated.
He said, “They perpetrated fraud in Ekiti but we are looking at them. They said that my days in office remain 43 days and I just laughed. What they did in Ekiti is not possible here in Osun. Osun is different and they know it. In 2011, all Yoruba states voted for Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate but Osun people voted for Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, who was the Action Congress of Nigeria candidate. We are different in Osun. Don’t let them scare you.
“The people here today have shown that they are solidly behind us. We are not angry about the development in Ekiti State because it is part of democracy. Ekiti people have made their choice.”
The governor said that he and his people did not have any problem with law enforcement agents who discharged their duties accordingly.
He, however, said that any of them who decided to go outside their bond would not find it easy.
Speaking on the rumoured plan to sack civil servants, Aregbesola described it as the handiwork of the opposition.
He debunked the rumour saying his administration had not sacked any worker since he assumed power in November 2006, saying he could not embark on such now.
The Director General of the Aregbesola Campaign Organisation, Senator Sola Adeyeye, urged the people of the state to vote wisely by casting their votes for Aregbesola.
He said that those who killed Chief Bola Ige were around the corner seeking to hijack power in the state....punch
*what do you think?
Why won't he say so when all he does is clowning around with primary school pupils' uniform with his wide wife

I just thankGod dat ma babe is a die hard kinda girl and she had to jump from the car window, since d door was locked. I just beg every1 to be ultra careful. Its only God that protects , but lets take our own personal precaution.
DeleteDamn!! I hope your friend isn't scarred for life.
DeleteMr Governor please chose your words carefully

My thoughts exactly....
Deletehe talks anyhow and sounded like a market man.
i smell fear hahaha
ReplyDeleteIt's not fear, he is actually right, the election was rigged, it was done cleaverly, only observant ppl noticed. I don't care for any party but it was not a fair election, the officals did the rigging.
DeleteHe seem to contradict himself. He said the election was fraudulent without proof or substantiating and at another point he said Ekiti people have made their choice and it is the beauty of democracy. Such inconsistency in speech leaves much to be desired of our today's Government officials.

ReplyDeleteHe should know that politics is more than renting crowd for campaign! I heard Tinubu has not eaten since after apc was voted out in Ekiti.
ReplyDeleteHehehe
Deletemake em no eat na.... kilo ko mi?
Ogbeni that quickly ordered the payment of civil servants salaries that have been unpaid for months. Upon his tebliq gemu, he's setting the stage for the lie they want to tell. If he loses, it was fraud but if he wins, it's the people? Buhari tactics. It'll be interesting if he loses.
DeleteLMAO......
DeleteLOL. Habamana! Why he nor go chop? Life goes on ooo Jagaban!
DeleteOde he hasn't eaten really? U must be in his house oh, he don chop infact over chop, drink champagne untop to.
DeleteHe has said his own same tin Fayemi did and he lost, what can RauF done for his people let's see the score card they keep using fashola as a yard stick when they have done nothing and The Director General of the Aregbesola Campaign Organisation, Senator Sola Adeyeye shld be arrested and interogated to tell Nigerians who killed Bola Ige since he know them .

DeleteTruth is,if some APC governors were not barred from entering Ekiti for a final rally by soldiers while two ministers were allowed in,if gov. Fayemi's campaign manager & some local APC stalwarts were not arrested & God knows what other hidden things were done there. I would have thought that election free & fair. Those things sure tilted the balance whether we like it or not.Problem with Nigeria is that we hate to tell the truth just as it is.
ReplyDeleteThey were barred because they were bringing in cash and ballot papers and boxes. The distributors were arrested to ensure free voting. APC local government chairmen were sitting at polling booths in their respective LGAs until people protested. Didn't Fayemi distribute money, recharge cards and his own rice? If it were about material gain, those people would have voted for Fayemi. APC the sore losers only believe in a democracy that installs their selected candidates as winners.
DeleteExactly! Time will tell ...nigerians only know how to appreciate their elected officials after leaving office.
DeleteAnd I keep wondering when Nigeria politics will be played right. Anyway sha, people always get the kind of leader they deserve.
Abegi go and rest ur case what's done is done u better go and tighten loose ends in Osun or its gonna be like film tricks o.Don't ya know that Fayose is a coded capone
ReplyDeleteI see the defeat of APC as a direct rejection of Tinubu in the West. The Ekitis are a proud breed of Yorubas who only thank him for positively forcing the choice of Fashola on Lagos State. The Yorubas being enlightened now see Tinubu, as one who has used his privileged position to corner all the prime assets of Lagos State to himself. His Wife and Sonin-law are a serving Senator and House of Reps member respectively with the Daughter, an Iyalode of Lagos markets. The sooner APC realise the fact that the train had long left Tinubu for Fashola, the better for it. I make bold to say that the average Yoruba man will rather not vote APC if Tinubu is on the ballot. In one of my local visits to Sagamu in Ogun State, during the 2011 elections, an old woman was vehemently asserting that She was voting Fashola for the Ogun State Governorship elections. However how I tried to convince her, Fashola was ACN and they were going to vote him to bring Fashola's policies to both Ogun and Oyo States. Tinubu during that elections acknowledged this theory and was always taking Fashola around in all his campaigns. Fashola has indeed set a standard for Governorship in Nigeria. Even the PDP adore him. For APC to make an impact in the 2015 elections, a genuine combination of Nuhu Ribadu and Fashola will do the trick and lead to the defeat of GEJ handsdown. No Southerner will want to compensate any other Northerner with the Presidency, given their alleged sponsorship of Boko Haram. Ribadu is seen as a moderate and a better candidate, given his anti-corruption credentials.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you. But I have my reservations about Ribadu. He is not a popular candidate and it won't be a fair politics if a Muslim (president) and Muslim (vice) are fielded by a political party...it will be a campaign strategy for the opposition.
DeleteVery intelligent analysis. Well said
DeleteOgbeni go siddon o! Ekiti people have decided that na belle first. Their rice is their vote, their vote is their RICE.......
ReplyDeleteAll I saw was that he has been in power since 2006... Was that an error or typo?

ReplyDeleteOlori buruku nie
Deletehe should shut up
ReplyDeleteTaah, he should go and sit down somewhere joor. well, he is doing what needed to be done.
ReplyDelete1, he is in touch with the grassroot
2, he has really made an impact in osun state
3, he is not seen as over educated and aloof.
so Aregbesola is save. Osun people SHOULD vote him in. Ekiti state is different and if APC is not careful, they will keep loosing. no more automatic win. less than a year to 2015 elections and APC is still not in the front front of campaigning. no presidential candidate yet. mtscheew
Aregbe is just scared. He knows he's gonna lose the election dat was y they decided to goan beg Oyinlola to join them. We the inhabitants of Osun are tired of Lagos pple coming to devour us of our money in our state. Their tenure is over and OMISORE is ready to take over come Aug 9 by the special grace of God.
ReplyDeleteWe Oyo peeps are tired of Lagod pple coming to chop our money. Our tax is been done from Lag (Remita). we dey wait ur turn Ajumobi. Mo kan mo kan ni oye kan. Till then
DeleteMy respect for Fayemi increased 100percent when he conceded victory to Fayose, for an agbero to come now and say the election is fraudulent shows he is nothing but a poor excuse of a Do or Die stooge of 48 Bourdilion politics. For your information Ogbeni you have still not explained to us why students wore choir uniforms to school and masquerade put on their regalia to school. Any time you are addressing voters in Osun it must be in Yoruba language, are there non yoruba speaking voters in Osun? Can't you address the people in both English and Yoruba. Why so Tribalistic and also a Muslim Fanatic that want to enforce use of hijab in Osun schools? Pls that take us back. Fayemi has my vote for this singular come 2018.
ReplyDeleteJIA
Aregbesola..Bla bla bla and more blah! RUBBISH TALK!
ReplyDeletePolitics is not all aboout the party , but the candidate. It's hightime Apc realises that politics is not for one political party. The people has choosen their choice, all of them should shut up and accept their failure. They equally gave out rice too during Fashola's second team campaign in Lagos state as well. Na dem start am.
ReplyDeleteEkiti was rigged smartly.
ReplyDeleteHow smartly? As long as Asiwaju Private Company a.k.a. APC keep believing in people like you, they are going to so lose Osun and other APShit states. Then the powers of the demi-semi god of Bourdillon will be paralysed forever.
DeleteSee this 'eleran'Guy sha. See the way he is running his mouth idiot. No more Salami to put u in govt house from the kitchen door. You ds bloody Muslim fundamentalist. By August 10 those ur short knicker will turn labu labu. Ode oshi.
