Abia State Governor Says Fayose's Win Is A Divine Mandate.

Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji, has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate at June 21 governorship in Ekiti State, Mr. Ayo Fayose, for emerging victorious, describing his victory at the polls as “hard-earned”.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Charles Ajunwa, Governor Orji, who expressed happiness over Fayose’s landmark victory, thanked the people of Ekiti State for maintaining the peace during and after the governorship election.

Governor Orji who also thanked officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the police and other security agencies for the professional manner they discharged their duties, said the people of Ekiti State made the right choice by voting massively for the PDP candidate.

The governor charged the people of Ekiti State to give Mr. Fayose all the needed cooperation and support to enable him realize his dream of taking the state to greater heights, the statement added.

“Mr. Ayo Fayose’s victory is a divine mandate. I know that the newly elected governor of Ekiti State has all it takes to bring the dividends of democracy to the people of the state. He has done it before and he will do it again,” the Abia State Chief Executive remarked.

Fayose had defeated Governor Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressive Congress (APC) by polling 203, 090 votes while Fayemi came second with 120, 433 votes. Opeyemi Bamidele, Labour Party candidate came a distant third.culled

  16. It is indeed a divine mandate. fayose is a wonderful human. He walks hand in hand with his people and eats with them too. What GOv TA Orji said is true. Fayose makes the people of ekiti happy; old, young, literate and uni literate. GOV Orji is only expressing happiness here. So ya'll can jump in the lagoon if u don't like it.
