Twins Born Holding Hands.....

Rare "mono mono" twin girls born in Ohio were breathing on their own, and their mom said she and her husband were able to hold them on Mother's Day.

The babies were born 45 seconds apart, and when the doctors put them next to each other, one grabbed the other's hand, hospital officials told NBC News.
The identical twin girls shared the same amniotic sac and placenta. Such births are called monoamniotic, or "mono mono," and doctors say they occur in about one of every 10,000 pregnancies.

They were born Friday at Akron General Medical Center and grasped each other's hands when doctors lifted them up for their parents to see after delivery.

Sarah Thistlethwaite said babies Jillian and Jenna were removed from ventilators Sunday afternoon after they were able to breathe comfortably. She told The Associated Press that she and her husband Bill both held them for a while on Mother's Day....culled from NBCNews

please do not be afraid. Many women also give birth safe and sound in the same Lagos and your case will not be nothing short of a resounding success. Easy delivery, mother and babies very very fine. Breath easy, eat healthy, free your mind from all worry and most importantly pray my sister. God will do it and you will hold your babies IJN.Amen

  24. Lepa Shandy you and majority of people who reason like you are why Nigeria is stuck in a developmental rut! Ogbanje!! Did you bother to read the story and see where it is written that mono-mono twins (twin who share the same amniotic sac) are rare, 1-in-10,000 twin births?? If normal twins who were carried in separate sacs can be often be as close as we know them to be, then imagine those who grew and floated in the same sac will be.

This is yet another proof of God's awesomeness. May God bless and keep them and use them to bring more bonds of friendship and closeness to all the people of the world. Amen.

and make it your daily manna.

wishing you a safe delivery and may the angels in heaven surround your labour room and help bring forth your cuties safe n sound.
